1453990 tn?1329231426 I have spasticity in my right leg and a clonus at the ankle of that leg. I also have a drop foot (since April) on the right. I should mention that while all of that has been diagnosed, I have not yet been diagnosed with ms. Clonus is a neurological sign, and is arepetitive reflex motion most often seen in the ankle (it can be seen in the knee and elbow too). My doc found mine when he held the bottom of my foot and flexed it up quickly at the ankle.
246923 tn?1249154300 a few weeks ago (1 week and a half) I had a little accident at my school during P.E class, while I was running I twisted my foot and fell down, the whole day was torture since it was really hard to walk...days passed and the pain wouldnt go away, my friend gave me a massage with Bengay (I think that's how it;s called) but the pain won't go away... it is really uncomfortable to walk and very painful...my foot isn't swollen but the pain is not decreasing... My question is...

1278070 tn?1276224405 Hello, my problems started last summer my left foot and shin fell asleep while walking it was a bit painful around my ankle but not unbearable. When I got home from my walk, I sat down and the pain went away. Over the next few months this happened again several times. After about 5 or 6 months I could not stand or walk for more than 15-20 minutes without my foot going to sleep followed by excruciating, I can't walk pain.
Avatar f tn t been able to help me organize a successful walking routine. Anyone out there who knows about foot drop, knows about the pain and fatigue associated with it. Especially in my back and ankles the pain is horrible. The more I push myself the worse the pain and fatigue get. Does anyone have any input?
Avatar f tn Hello. Thanks for your reply. What worries me about the pain near the base of my little toe is the fact that it is the same pain I had before the mn surgery. I'm afraid that the surgery wasn't where it should've been? The base of the great toe really doesn't cause me much trouble anymore. I have the pain in the arch of my foot kind of like a cramp most all the time. The dr. thought the screw was causing it because it had been moving. I thought so too but now I'm not so sure.
Avatar n tn s symptoms. Is she having back pain, hip pain, foot or what type of pain? If we had more information we may have better suggestions. I too agree that a physician evaluation is in order. I'll look forward to hearing more about your daughter. She is fortunate to have your love and concern. My best to you and to her.
Avatar n tn My feet hurt so bad I feel like crying. It feels like they are bruised, I limp while walking because of it. Any recommendations on a good shoe and advice on how to help them feel better. I drink a lot of water.
Avatar n tn I am having a pain on the bottom outside edge of my foot. It feels like a bruise but has been there for a while. I am a runner and assume this is a training injury. Any ideas?
Avatar n tn The toe/foot drop is only upon walking, and not sitting or lying down. While walking, it seems like the push off phase on my left foot is not as strong, which may be causing the occassional drag and limp. While seated, I can move my foot against resistance (doctor's hand) in all directions with good strength, so the weak link may be the dorsiflexors, from what I have read tonight about feet.
Avatar m tn I stopped playing ball for a good few months, but I continued walking around a lot, and the calf and foot seemed to remain somewhat injured. After a couple months passed, I tried to play basketball again, and this time, I felt a popping sensation in the calf. From there, I took some time off basketball and walking, and saw a couple doctors including a foot specialist. With X-Ray, she noticed that both of my 5th Metatarsals have a sesamoid at the head.
Avatar f tn For the past week or 2, IV been getting really painful shooting pain in my lower back (left side mostly). It happens only when I'm walking barefoot and I step with my left foot. It's not constant, it's just like IV stepped on a certain area (heel) of the foot that then sends the pain up to my lower left side. Is this something I should worry about or is it normal?
Avatar f tn I totatally go through that too, im 8 weeks pregnant and last week i was walking at the mall n suddenly i couldnt step with my right foot and it hurt soo bad when i tried walking. Sometimes that happens to me while laying down too and in my hips it almost feels like theres something stuck and i recomend yawning with a pillow behind ur back and stretch at the same time. That helps me so hopefully it works for you.
Avatar m tn As soon as the walking boot was gone I had severe pain across the bottom of my foot. It seemed to go away within a couple of weeks but the pain in the ball of my foot is still here after 13 weeks. It hurts when I walk at the point of push off. Feels like a stretching type of pain. There is also still numbness on the medial portion of my akle just below the bone (size of a nickel) also the top of my big toe is numb on the lateral side. The pain in the ball of my foot is driving me crazy.
Avatar f tn Has anyone experienced top of foot pain or achilles pain associated with MS? And has anyone had the shocks in your tongue?
Avatar m tn A related discussion, <a href="/posts/Orthopedics/foot-pain/show/1805472">foot pain</a> was started.
Avatar f tn Hi bluejay36, how are you? How is your foot pain? Is there a swelling, which is either localized to middle foot or diffuse? Are you able to bear the weight/walk properly on the foot? I suppose you have a foot sprain due to a minor injury while skating which you might not have noticed or ignored at that moment. Do take complete rest and apply heat locally after gently rubbing a pain gel. Over counter painkillers will help you temporarily. Apply a crepe bandage firmly.
