1028452 tn?1537448484 It is obvious to me now, Rahim, that your glucose levels are normal ruling out diabetes as the cause of your neurothapy. Non-diabetic neurothapy has been linked to vitamin B-1 and folic acid [B-9] deficiencies. Ask your doctor about the latter. I also suggest you split your multivitamin into two halves, taking one in the morning, the other later in the day. This will help balance out the vitamin intake during your wake hours.
Avatar n tn I immediately contacted my physician regarding this and he suggested i take Vitamin B complex as B12 strengthens the nerves. The vibration is almost gone.I sometimes get a buzz.. a couple of times a day. which i think is a huge improvement.

12802766 tn?1427764870 I am currently on 400 milligrams of Lyrica per day because ihave pins and needles my hands and foot that drive me crazy. doctor said my vitamin B levels are five times the normal and he thinks this is causing the pins and needles. I don't see him until May. in the meantime the Lyrica only touches the surface of the pain. Does anyone have any suggestions for relief of the pain? Does anyone know how to get rid of vitamin B in your body?
Avatar n tn Hi, Since vitamin B 12 provided relief from symptoms the chances that your symptoms are due to peripheral neuropathy caused by B 12 deficiency is a possibility. These symptoms as of now do not sound like MS but MS can be a difficult disease to diagnose. Vitamin D deficiency directly cannot cause these symptoms although the deficiency does predispose one to MS. This requires further evaluation by an experienced neurologist and possibly tests like CT scan of brain.
Avatar f tn s most likely Vitamin B12, she would probably need injections. Her Vitamin D and magnesium may need to be raised as well.
315737 tn?1407298997 Thank you for the interest. I still have foot soreness but my numbness has mostly gone away and the foot pain is not as pronounced. I think that might be a combination of personal care, and taking some supplements prescribed by my doctor. I take Vitamin D and Folic acid. I have borderline gout blood work which is what this was prescribed for.
Avatar m tn Your feet vibration symptoms could be related to nerve compression, diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, Vitamin B complex deficiency, neurological disorder or if you are any vibration jobs (like drilling etc). Nerve studies and nerve test may be helpful to further evaluate the condition. I would recommend evaluating the possibilities here with the help of a doctor. Further referral to a neurologist or endocrinologist may be required to assess the condition.
Avatar f tn Glucose control if relevant should be optimized; vitamin deficiencies like B1, B6, and B12 should b corrected. Ankle foot arthrosis is tried where surgery is not feasible. If the foot drop is due to direct trauma to the dorsiflexors , surgical repair is needed. When due to nerve insult, the nerve continuity needs to be restored by direct repair. When lumbar disc herniation is causing foot drop, consider discectomy. Hope this helps. Discuss with your neurologist for best judgment. Take care.

Avatar n tn I began getting these symptoms everywhere, my hands, arms, back, chest, throat, tongue, lips, face. I had nerve tics everywhere as well. So a friend suggested vitamin b-12 which really helped. After taking 1000mcg of the vitamins for almost 2 weeks, here I am again with the symptoms, not as bad as before but they reappeared. I don't know if it's because I began taking prevacid for acid reflex. I feel itchy all over as if I was wearing wool.

Avatar f tn About 2 months ago, i felt a sharp pain on my right foot and when i reached out to feel what it was i felt a spider at where i felt the pain. A tiny tiny spider. I didn't pay much attention to it because i didn't think it was the spider that bit me. A few days after,my foot was swollen and really painful, i used an antihistamine cream on it and massaged it.
Avatar f tn Animal protein is the richest source of vitamin B 12 and if you are a vegetarian then you may be having vitamin B 12 deficiency. You can take some vit B12 for some days and see if the symptoms improve. If the symptoms persist then get an evaluation done from a physician and also get nerve conduction velocity tests done to rule out any nerve irritation.

Avatar n tn t know already, put her on a bland diet and also consider iron supplements, Vitamin B supplements, and Vitamin D supplements. I read today that low Vitamin D can cause depression, fatigue, and body aches (I have to go for a VItamin D injection.. I have been putting it off because the idea of it in a needle scares me.) I would speak to a doctor or pharmacist about these things. Most doctors don't know about cucurmin, boswellia, and wobenzym but there are studies being done in the US.

Generally deficiencies of any of the above can cause muscle twitching in localized or generalized areas of the body. Get your kidney function, parathyroid gland function and adrenal function tests done because these affect the electrolyte balance in the body.
