Common Questions and Answers about Foot pain under toes

Avatar n tn A foot specialist may be able to prescribe custom orthotics for your shoes that could relieve some of the pain. I've had my toes straightened on both feet and while it wasn't a fun process, the end result is so worth it. Ask for a referral to an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in feet/ankles. (NOT a podiatrist!
Avatar f tn On my right foot my toes claw downwards, I think this contributes too the top of foot pain I get which feels like cramp, Bob suggested it was probably spasticity. But on my left foot my 2nd & 3rd toe have parted company and now make a V shape! which pushes againist my little toe! Neuro physio was reaaly amazed at this. I'm just weird!
Avatar f tn Sometimes if I have a ways to walk to get back to where I started when the pain gets too bad, I can bend the toes of that foot under in my shoe and it will feel better for awhile if I walk like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
486038 tn?1300063367 The pain that Jen describes is right on the money. It really does feel like broken feet. My guess that it is spasticity, too. My toes have curled under and I get painful spasms in my toes. I've had this problem for a couple of years, and now, I am starting to see a little improvement. Shoe inserts and ace bandage supports help. Finding the right shoes with lots of cushion between your feet and floor also helps. too. When you get your AFO's, keep an eye on your toes.
5091090 tn?1363467915 Hi! I am sorry to hear about your pain. One possibility is that the orthopedic shoe inserts have either suffered wear and tear or a misalignment and are now not as effective as before. The other possibility is that you have a pinched nerve. Plantar fasciitis and arthritis of small joints of foot are also some local causes that need to be ruled out. Until you can consult a doctor, dip your feet in warm water at the end of your day. Soak for 10-15 minutes.
Avatar f tn Hi, I can't say I've had toe "pain". I have had what feels like a rubber band around my big toe. And I have also had toe cramps. Where it feels like my toes are being pulled under my foot. Pretty uncomfortable. I know that doesn't help you much, sorry. Good Luck with your toes.
Avatar n tn Itching and peeling underneath the toes or in between the toes, usually is Athletes foot. This is a fungal infection, that is usualy caught walking bare footed where someone else with althletes foot has trod. For example in showers in the swimming pool, or trying on shoes that some one with althletes foot has tried on. You can get creams and powders for althletes foot from your pharmacist or a superstore. It is important to keep the feet clean and dry in between the toes.
Avatar f tn I have this clear skin covered pocket on the ball of my foot it's been there for months we thought it was a wart and we went to the health center to have it frozen which they did well come to find out it was not a wart and it was a human hair caused from me cutting hair for work shoved straight up into my footI have the worst feet in history at least it feels like some days from the arch to the ball of my foot it hurts extremely and is very sensitive to the touch.
Avatar f tn Ok this sounds weird but under my big toe and second toe under the the skin of the ball of the foot it feels like there is fluid there. No pain, no swelling but it feels like a blister under the skin. Any ideas as to what it is. Was in a accident about 3 weeks ago, was rear ended nor major injuries just some spazzing muscles in neck and back. But this problem hasn't gone away yet.
Avatar f tn Was in an accident 3 weeks ago with some spazzing muscles in neck and back but they have since recovered but the feeling of the fluid under the skin even when bending the toes is still on going. No pain in any movement of toes. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you and may God bless you.
1218873 tn?1300091216 I been having a problem with my toes curling under on my right foot. I walk with this foot slightly turned out, and this foot and leg is the one I have neuropasthic pain in. I went to see my neuro rehab Dr the other day and they Dx weakness in the toes and slight weakness in the foot. They referred me to Orthrotic whom I went to see yesterday. He could see that there is wear on the top of my toes and felt if this continued I would end up with corns.
Avatar f tn l5 is bulging. . Have toes that curl under leg weakness calf atrophy and my foot has dropped a size. Also slight drop foot. And a limp. Is this usual?
1453990 tn?1329231426 OK, I have the "tight calf" clonus thing that drops my feet down sometimes, but I have a new one for me. Anybody else experience pain from clonus (tightening) of the abductor digiti minimi muscle on the outside (lateral) bottom of the foot? Both of my feet are hurting right now. One of my weird foot pains. It's kind of causing my 4th and 5th toes to curl down and inward and cramping my feet. Just started in the last day or so.
Avatar f tn One of the main times it happens is when I have been sitting indian style and the toe some how is bent forward, curling under my foot. My foot will instantly tighten up and the pain is immense. My big toe is the only toe curled under, while the other toes are pointed out same as usual. I have to massage in my arch close to the big toe to get the pain to alleviate. I have had this happen in both feet on many occasions. I have not had any recent issues, however I have had close calls.
1831849 tn?1383228392 I have what feels like athlete's foot. It's a mildly painful sensation under my toes, in the area between the 'toe pad' and where the toe connects to the foot. When I look at the area there doesn't appear to be anything there. It's soft and smooth. I've had real athlete's foot before and there was always some visual indication. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Avatar f tn It started to hurt every time I would walk long distances and would feel like I had my socks bunched up under my toes. It graduated to constant ball of foot pain with numbness in the ball of foot and toes with tenderness between the metatarsal bones on both feet. Has anyone ever had this or currently has the same symptoms? I have been to my GP who thinks it is a foot issue. I have an appointment with an Orthopedic, but could not get an appointment until April.
335728 tn?1331414412 It happens when I lift my feet off the floor, when I am lying in bed and the worst is when I am driving I get cramps in the toes on my right foot and it is a little scary...I am afraid that I will lift my foot off the brake or push down on the gas inappropriately when these cramps hit! Any ideas out there?
Avatar f tn Hi new here. For about month now I have gotten dark brown coloring on my right foot on top of my toes started with big toe now its moving to rest of my toes and climbing up towards top of my right foot also got it started under my little toe. Its dark brown hard scales. Toes don't hurt but under my foot does where its new. Like big calus.tips of my toes red.what might it be looked on web MD I am stumped.
Avatar f tn It started on the right foot and a year later the toes on my left foot began. They make different movements. The right foot toes make a waving movement. We call it my happy foot. The foot sometimes waves and sometimes the big toe drops and the other toes goes upward and locks. We call this foot bi-polar because of the alternating happy-angry movements. LOL. It has progressed to my calves, tingling and a pin prick sensation and now my thighs with spasticity and weakness.
Avatar n tn One day I put my shoe on and if felt like my sock was pushed up under my toes. It did not hurt, just felt weird. As time went on the other foot did the same thing. It has now progressed to pain and burning when I have shoes on and am on a hard surface. It is not as bad with shoes off. After a few hours on my feet it feels like pebbles under my toes and the burning increases. I have been to a podiatrist. He sent me for nerve conduction studies. These did not show any nerve problems.
Avatar f tn I have been experiencing excruciating cramping of my toes on both feet. It has been going on for about 2 years, but lately more often. I never know when it is going to occur. Yesterday I was watching a movie and I had an episode with my left foot with my middle toe distorting downward and rigid. I have had muscle cramping up my right ankle at night that has awakened me and lasts for about 10 minutes. My vitamin D level is 28, and I am on 50K iu for 8 weeks.
Avatar f tn I hope someone can help me! I had a bunionectomy and osteotomy 9/06 on left foot. Continued to have pain until 12/07 and had surgery to remove the hardware from bunion surgery and had a morton's neuroma removed between 3rd and 4th toes. Still have constant pain along the outside and on top of that foot about 1 inch from base of little toe. I am getting so discouraged so please help if you can. Thanks alot in advance.
