1453990 tn?1329231426 OK, I have the "tight calf" clonus thing that drops my feet down sometimes, but I have a new one for me. Anybody else experience pain from clonus (tightening) of the abductor digiti minimi muscle on the outside (lateral) bottom of the foot? Both of my feet are hurting right now. One of my weird foot pains. It's kind of causing my 4th and 5th toes to curl down and inward and cramping my feet. Just started in the last day or so.
Avatar f tn One odd thing is that somedays the toes do not hurt at all or they will shift from toes on the left foot to the right foot, though the right foot is the most affected foothe pain starts in the toe and seems to run into my foot. (Nerve?) I am at my wits end. I love racewalking and I was walking 5 to 6 miles a day and racing a 5K on Saturdays. I am unable to walk that far on most days now. The pain is just too excruciating.
Avatar f tn I hope someone can help me! I had a bunionectomy and osteotomy 9/06 on left foot. Continued to have pain until 12/07 and had surgery to remove the hardware from bunion surgery and had a morton's neuroma removed between 3rd and 4th toes. Still have constant pain along the outside and on top of that foot about 1 inch from base of little toe. I am getting so discouraged so please help if you can. Thanks alot in advance.
Avatar f tn For the past three or four years I have had severe pain in my toes when bearing weight on my foot. When sitting down there is no pain but when I stand and start walking the pain is extreme when bearing weight on the foot. Examination by a phisio, orthopedic surgeon and podiatrist have not been able to help. I have been prescibed various drugs including baclofen and pregabalin but still no joy. Anyone have a similar experience and information would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn Has anyone experienced top of foot pain or achilles pain associated with MS? And has anyone had the shocks in your tongue?
Avatar n tn Usually these problems are self-limiting. That is to say, they resolve themselves. If this lasts longer than three weeks you need a professional work up at a teaching hospital.
543791 tn?1216381777 I need some help. I'm in a good bit of pain. I keep having pain in my toes. It hits me out of no where. It doesn't ache like arthritis or anything. It's a terrible burning pain, and it hurts to walk. I also have topical skin sensitivity and it hurts for anything to touch it. I feel a line of pain coming up my foot/ankle and up the back of my leg. It feels pretty specific like a nerve or vein but I'm just not sure.
486038 tn?1300063367 The pain that Jen describes is right on the money. It really does feel like broken feet. My guess that it is spasticity, too. My toes have curled under and I get painful spasms in my toes. I've had this problem for a couple of years, and now, I am starting to see a little improvement. Shoe inserts and ace bandage supports help. Finding the right shoes with lots of cushion between your feet and floor also helps. too. When you get your AFO's, keep an eye on your toes.
338416 tn?1420045702 I got out of the shower today and my right foot was white. Not the toes - the toes were normal-colored, and the ankle was too. Just the top of the foot was white. It went away as I walked around the house, hunting down clean clothes. I'm wondering if this is Reynaud's or CRPS (complex regional pain disorder) which also I believe is called reflex sympathetic dystonia.
1080243 tn?1262975363 my toes burn almost all the time on my right foot and sometimes on my left foot. It is a little different than the electric shock (I get that one too). The best description I give is the tinginling feeling you get when you are sitting in a hot tub and then you plunge into a cold pool. It is definately not cold though. I have never had a nerve conduction test so I can not answer than. My Dr prescribed Lyrica which reduces the pain a lot. I do hope you find an answer.
Avatar f tn Now, it could just be bruised badly, and ice may help with any swelling and ibuprofen for pain and swelling. But if the pain does not get better within a couple of days, I would get to your doctor and especially if you have any swelling around your ankles or on the foot. Good luck!
Avatar f tn I also wear tennis shoes, but I am sure they do not make my toes curl. Never had any other foot condition. Yes, the pain wakes me up, but I am not very fond of taking pain relief medicines, and by the time I start walking around in the morning, the pain is gone.
Avatar m tn i have been having pain in my toes and my feet (both feet). pain now seems to be moving up into the calf....any ideas what this might be?
Avatar f tn But over the past week, every so often if I step on my foot a certain way, I get a slight pain in the area where my toes start, almost like a joint needs to be popped pain. I may feel it if I run or try to do jumping jacks. The area feels like it needs to be cracked a lot and when I do, it temporarily relieves the feeling and then it comes back.Other than that, there is no pain if I walk on it or press on it or flex my toes or anything. No swelling or redness.
1294547 tn?1275655777 I am in limbo as far as a diagnosis and i was wondering if what I am feeling sounds like foot drop or a stage of foot drop? Sometimes it effects the way I walk but the pain and stiffness subside eventually if i walk around long enough. The pain is worse in the evening and last for longer periods of time. I have read posts by others about foot pain but i have not come across the same "swollen' feeling being posted by anyone else.
Avatar f tn On my right foot my toes claw downwards, I think this contributes too the top of foot pain I get which feels like cramp, Bob suggested it was probably spasticity. But on my left foot my 2nd & 3rd toe have parted company and now make a V shape! which pushes againist my little toe! Neuro physio was reaaly amazed at this. I'm just weird!
Avatar f tn im 51 and just started to have foot and toe pain, i seem to have some kinda of reddish blueish rash on my feet, which is more just on the sides up to my little toes on both feet, its not raised, but does seem to itch just a little, but the pain can be over bearing most of the time, it has effected my 5th toe on my left foot., my big toes are somewhat red to, ive been to my dr.
5091090 tn?1363467915 It mainly occurs when I have socks or stalkings, sometimes shoes on... This pain forces me to quickly remove whatever I have on my foot so that my toes can spread apart. It is a quick pain but it hurts soooo bad and it is quite unbearable to the point where I always find myself reaching for my foot to rub it and flex it in a manner that will lessen the pain until it passes.
Avatar n tn MRI DONE, MRI READING NORMAL. PAIN ONLY ON THE FOOT. BETWEEN START OF TOES AND ANKLE. PAIN WHEN I WALK, STEP DOWN AFTER SITTING OR LYING DOWN.
Avatar f tn A 3 pound can was dropped on the top of my foot today,I am experiencing swelling and pain that shoots down to my toes ands up my leg.I can still walk on my foot but it hurts.Could I have a small fracture on the top of my foot?
Avatar f tn Her toes hurt more if she LOOKS at velvet or chalk?? You didn't even say which toes. I agree that a podiatrist is your best bet, but you can't tell him that looking at velvet and chalk cause pain or he will think it's psychiatric.
Avatar f tn I woke up about 5am this morning with a sharp pain in my toe next to the pinky toes . The pain is so severe i screamed out in pain. About 2 weeks ago i did purchase new running shoes but i havent tested them out at the gym yet. Ive been wearing them everyday at work though. The pain occurs every 5 mins and just as painful as the first time. My foot seems normal no swelling or discoloration. Please help.
Avatar f tn ve had cortisone shots, taken Voltaren, do stretching excersises, my doctor says last resort surgery. I have a heal spur that has caused my 3rd and 4th toes on rt foot nerve damage, pain level 7 to 8 all the time. Is surgery necessary? What type is it? What does it do and is it effective? Recovery time?
Avatar m tn It is possible to have lasting pain if the ankle never fully healed. You need to stregthen the area. Any time you cannot weight bare the joint looses strength. This takes as little as 72 hrs. Therefore if you never rehabilitated the ankle it is weak and gets sore just from walking around throughout the day bearing your own body's weight. The best thing you can do is range of motion exercises such as drawing the ABC's in the air with your toes only moving your foot at the ankle joint.
