1142551 tn?1264736930 I experienced pain a lot of pain in my feet, too. The pain got so bad that any amount of pressure on them made it almost impossible at times to walk without falling. I also needed a shower chair because I couldn't stand while taking a shower. Before I started my DMDs, my neuro prescribed Lyrica, which helped. Also, shoes with comfortable soles helped a little bit. I bought shoe inserts for my shoes that didn't have thicker soles which also seemed to help a little bit.
Avatar n tn Plantar fasciitis, arthritis of small joints, diabetic neuropathy, hypothyroidism, high blood pressure, over weight, deep vein thrombosis, wrong foot wear, gout, etc are a few causes of foot pain. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. You may need to consult an orthopedic specialist and get X-ray and maybe MRI of the feet, nerve conduction studies, blood glucose examination etc. Take care!
486038 tn?1300063367 Just enough to give pressure. The pain will be replaced with pressure which to me is better to deal with. This tricks the brain into just feeling the pressure and not the pain but like I said it might work and it might not. I know you said you tried pressure..but an ace bandage works pretty well. It's worth it to give it a try....7 out of 10 patients agree lol.
Avatar f tn I am 31 weeks pregnant and I am having lots of pressure and pain in my uterers is there something I need to watch for and it's an every day deal changing position doesn't help
Avatar n tn When foot pain occurs under the ball of the foot, the medical term is metatarsalgia. Foot pain can be caused by increased pressure on the metatarsal heads. This can be due to constricting foot wear or high heel shoes. Other conditions that can cause foot pain include ligament injuries and joint irritation. These problems can also be relieved with more accommodating footwear.
Avatar n tn You should try acupressure and wear soft padded footwear preferably slip-ons and not shoes. You can also try foot wear with soles designed according to pressure points. Also when you are standing keep changing the position, lift your foot off the ground for sometime and let your foot bear the body weight alternatively. If possible keep a small stool nearby on which you can rest your foot from time to time.

1696489 tn?1370821974 You may take an anti-inflammatory medication for pain relief. Try applying any local analgesic gel for relief in pain. If the symptoms are severe it is best to see an orthopaedician. You may need clinical examination and Xrays.Keep me posted. Best luck and regards!
Avatar f tn I broke my pinkie toe on my right foot less than a week ago and about 2 days after they put me in a boot to help the toe heal my big toe started to hurt. It is not red, swollen or hot to the touch it is just very painful when pressure is put on it or I try to bend it. They took an x-ray of the whole foot and only the pinkie fracture showed up. I'm not sure what to do next?

Avatar f tn But over the past week, every so often if I step on my foot a certain way, I get a slight pain in the area where my toes start, almost like a joint needs to be popped pain. I may feel it if I run or try to do jumping jacks. The area feels like it needs to be cracked a lot and when I do, it temporarily relieves the feeling and then it comes back.Other than that, there is no pain if I walk on it or press on it or flex my toes or anything. No swelling or redness.

Avatar f tn Yesterday we could not get a blood pressure reading on left arm or wrist using 2 different monitors. Hospice nurse felt very weak pulse in foot as well. Any suggestions as to what this might be? Blood clot, stroke, no circulation to left side? Also, left arm is tingling and cannot use arm to lift herself from chair.
Avatar n tn feels that losing my longus is causing the foot to strike incorrectly, putting undue pressure on the lateral plantar foot. He also said he had never seen a neuroma in the 4th interspace. I'm wondering if a nerve is pinched somewhere? Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Avatar f tn Both caregiver222 and jemma116 have provided accurate information. The two sciatic nerves are the largest nerves in the human body. They are formed on each side from elements of the lumbar nerve roots, and runs beneath the piriformis region in the pelvis, exiting the pelvis at the greater sciatic foramen, where it runs down the back of the thigh to an area just above the knee. Here it divides into the tibial and fibular nerves.
Avatar f tn Has anyone had foot pain, as if the whole bottom of your foot is bruised. I also have Type 2 Diabetes but tested negative for neuropathy a couple of years ago. Do have painful feet, mostly at night until recently. Stood 2 days to cut out patterns and now every time istand for any time, it gets worse again. If I soak it in warm water, is better until I stand again. This is mainly in the left foot.
Avatar f tn Is that normal for every day numerous times a day?
Avatar m tn Started having foot pain and swelling in my right foot only. I have been to the ER and to my doctor. (about 3 years ago, I had tendonitis) At the ER they thought it was gout, but only did an xray (which only showed swelling). My doctor doesnt think its gout, because its affecting the middle of my foot up towards my ankle.(more towards the right side of the middle of my foot) It has also climbed up to my ankle now and starting to get slight pain above my ankle.
459853 tn?1283140514 It started after mowing the lawn and twisting my foot and almost falling over, mower and all, when my foot tell into a rut in the grass. The next day it was quite painful, enough to wake me from a dead sleep. When at rest it feels like I'm stepping on a small metal ball dead center in the middle of my heel. There is also some pain on the inside of my foot between the ankle and Achilles tendon.

Avatar f tn I completely understand. Bella put me through a lot of pain. And this little one is already putting me through pain and im only 9 weeks. Go soak in a bath. It'll help the pressure, trust me on this, or a pool.
Avatar n tn I have the oddest foot pain that came out of no where two days ago. The pain in my right foot makes me limp for a few steps after getting up. The pain is mostly in the sole of my foot and it is the the worst for the first ten steps or so then disappears. It comes and goes as I'm walking so I don't think I hurt it at the gym the other day. Anyone get foot pain...it hurts!
