Avatar n tn I am having pain in my left foot - Arch and heel are very painful. It started after playing golf with new golf shoes. I thought it might be the shoes and since have played with out them and still have the pain. I am flat footed and ware arch supports to minimize tiredness for walking all day. Day after I first felt the pain I had gone to my chiropractor for tightness in my lower and middle back. Since I have had this constant ach, and sharp pain in the heel.
Avatar n tn I have the sensation of pressing down on the inside of my foot/ankle as I walk. She now has me using a lateral post, but I still have the tendon pain, and it will not go away while i wear the orthotics. Are they worng for me? Is the arch too high? Thanks in advance.
Avatar m tn i have noticed that my right foot arch is very low when i stand and i also noticed that my right foot rolls in excessively when i walk. my foot gets really sore when i walk a certain amount of time and causes an excessive drag on the outside heel of my shoes . also my left foot sometimes falls when i am walking which causes me to drag the front on my shoes .i was wondering if there is any soultion to permanently fix this problem.
Avatar m tn I'm a postman and 6 weeks ago my ankle started hurting. I didn't have an incident which obviously caused it - it just crept up on me and got worse. I've now been off work 4 weeks. I can walk but need to be careful as if my foot twists the wrong way it's very painful. Otherwise there's no pain. The pain, when there, is on the outside of my right ankle, in the hollow just in front of the prominent ankle bone.
Avatar f tn The pain radiates from the top of the arch of my foot to the heel. The pain was minimal at the beginning of the day, then got worse as the day went on. I taped my foot after a few days of this and am using a walker and crutches I already had to keep weight off of it as much as possible. I am a few weeks away from having insurance, and have to wait until then to get it checked out.
Avatar f tn From what I understand if you have a high arch then your arch supports should be providing more cushion. Are your arch supports very rigid or are they a bit more on the cushioned side? I read that you got new shoes as well. What kind were they? Generally, for your foot type you might need a shoe that has less EVA material at the midsole, athletic only. The EVA is the support in the shoe.
Avatar f tn The tiny bone is so sore then when I get up after sitting I feel like electric shocks between my toes and along the outside of my left foot. Anyone else experience this pain and if so what helps.
558632 tn?1303471125 Does anyone have a severe pain along the outside of the middle of the foot. painful to touch. mostly hurts in a.m. when i get up in the morning? Avatar f tn my right foot between top of heel and bottom of arch has been hurting so badly for about 3 months. any ideas? read in a reflexology book could be bladder issues? also heard could be plantar fasciitis?
942127 tn?1276949209 I can walk (sort of) on my toes, but cannot walk with my foot flat to the floor. The pain is from the inside across the bottom arch area to the outside closer to the heel. It hurts a little up into my leg.
Avatar f tn Flatfoot, or Pes planus, is a deformity of the foot in which the normal medial longitudinal arch of the foot has been lost. It may present as an asymptomatic incidental finding or as a painful condition secondary to an associated anatomic abnormality or pathologic condition of the foot. You should be started on Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs and rest. Short-term immobilization with a below-the-knee cast or boot brace.
Avatar f tn s worse on the outside from my ankle down to my arch. I have high arches. Pain feels better when I wear shoes. Otherwise, it is sometimes shooting and very tender, like I bruised or sprained my ankle. Sometimes touching it in a certain place sends a shooting pain. I am on my feet all day. MRI and xray were the only tests.
Avatar m tn A few days ago I was away from home and walking in these sandles, I had just done some calf stretches on a step and when I began to walk I felt a sharp stinging pain, almost like a tearing or pulling on the pronounced ligament in my arch. The pain wasn't near my heel, rather it was on the upper half of the ligament closer too the big toe. [img]http://img215.imageshack.us/i/hwkb17034.
Avatar m tn Hi arctic_ocean, thanks for making the pictures available. What I suspect is that the person is suffering with a problem called "Pes Cavas", which is also called a high arch foot. There are number of causes of this condition, and trauma or accident related injury could also be one. This deformity can also be congenital in nature, so unless a thorough diagnosis is performed, it is difficult to pin-point the exact cause.
Avatar n tn Something that I do to help with foot cramps is keep a bottle or can next to the bed and roll the arch of my foot over it to help relax the muscle. Since the pain is now in thighs and hands, I would be worried as well. I would take her to a nutritionist if the pediatrician is drawing a blank.
Avatar n tn Hi Dr, About 15 years ago i sprained my left ankle ever since i have had problems with it. I have a pain on the top side of my foot over too the left side over my cuboid. When i go for a jog or a swim my foot would cramp up and my toes would turn into the up position trying to relief my pain. What would be the best way forward. Would a pair of arch supports work fine or would i have to go and see a specialist??
Avatar m tn I was playing my saxophone (sitting down). I was tapping my foot up and down to count the beats when suddenly there was a sharp pain in the left side of my right foot's arch and I couldn't move my big toe (kind of like it was paralyzed or something). It went away within a few seconds though, and I could move my toe again. Should I be worried?
Avatar f tn Hello, As your husband is a diabetic and moreover there is a soft sore on the foot,so the possibility of diabetic foot is there. Diabetic foot is an umbrella term for foot problems in patients with diabetes mellitus. To prevent diabetic foot ulcers,he should have good foot hygiene, wear diabetic socks and shoes, and avoid injury.A consultation of a podiatrist will be the best. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how your husband is doing or if you have any additional doubts.
Avatar f tn Hello. Thanks for your reply. What worries me about the pain near the base of my little toe is the fact that it is the same pain I had before the mn surgery. I'm afraid that the surgery wasn't where it should've been? The base of the great toe really doesn't cause me much trouble anymore. I have the pain in the arch of my foot kind of like a cramp most all the time. The dr. thought the screw was causing it because it had been moving. I thought so too but now I'm not so sure.
Avatar f tn You sodium intake may have a lot to do with it. Less sodium way more water. If that doesn't help maybe change your shoes. I work for Nike and im 29weeks i had to change into "mommy" shoes once i reached 27weeks due to foot pain.
Avatar m tn Hi, The other day I went to buy new shoes and was told I have a high arch, as well as my feet rolled-in (I think that was the word he used). He told me I needed proper support for it and recommended some special gel soles for the shoe. I'm not sure if the shoes themselves are any different or not (just look like regular sneakers to me).
Avatar m tn s now becoming more painfull, i go to classes at the gym, and if i do jumping or balance on my feet for to long the burning pain kicks in, an is now mowing towards the arch of the foot, this happens in both feet but more pain in the right. I have had previous Blood clots in my calf before to, my calfs ont hurt as much during activity, it's just the ankles.
7763229 tn?1396626895 I have orthotic inserts for my shoes because my arches have collapsed (you have three different arches in your foot, and one is located a bit below your toes). Without my orthotics, I get a pain in the top of my foot because the collapsed arch pinches a nerve cluster. Based on what you've said, that's what it sounds like to me.
Avatar f tn She shot above my ankle and I felt the numbness go down my foot and wrap around under my foot right where the pain was. She determined it was a nicked nerve from the biopsy all that time ago. She said we might have to remove the nerve. what kind of doctor is the best for that procedure? Will I loose the use of my foot or feeling? I cant have this dr do the surgery because she is not on my plan. ( She was my 2nd opinion) My podiatrist has a couple of people.
1294547 tn?1275655777 I am in limbo as far as a diagnosis and i was wondering if what I am feeling sounds like foot drop or a stage of foot drop? Sometimes it effects the way I walk but the pain and stiffness subside eventually if i walk around long enough. The pain is worse in the evening and last for longer periods of time. I have read posts by others about foot pain but i have not come across the same "swollen' feeling being posted by anyone else.
Avatar n tn One of the most common causes of heel pain is called plantar fascitis. The plantar fascia is the tissue in the sole/mid foot among the tendons. Plantar fascitis is inflammation of this tissue. The pain typically occurs in the inner side of the heel. The pain typically occurs after taking the first few steps in the morning and improves with continued walking. The pain may radiate up the leg.
1603806 tn?1297787253 s all over from my toes to my heels, i have periodic numbness (even when i have them elevated), spasms in my arch and sides of the foot, puffiness around the ankle; and if i stretch the foot theres popping sensations that hurt as well. I have this problem in both feet, though its more severe in the right one. Elevating them doesn't help; nor does ice, heat, aleeve, or the methadone i take for fibromyalgia.
