But now I have tingling and numb toes, have had numbness and pain in my hands for years too. I didnt know what it was in my hands until i joined this forum. I thinkm i just repeated myself, but you get the general idea i hope...

hi im 31 years old and have had numb big toes(the outside tips of them!), ive had blood tests and they are all clear! do u know what it could be??? please help thank you............

I have numbness in my larger three toes on my left foot and sometimes it my left foot hurts, but it's my right foot that really is giving me a hard time. I can hardly walk in the morning when I first get up or off my feet for a short priod of time. It hurt on the right side of my foot a couple of inches below my smaller toes near the edge. Also near the inside arches area my heal (to push it with my thumb really hurts). Also the top of my right foot burns a lot.

I stepped on a nail and it went very deep in the area where an "arch" suppose to be (im flat footed); I would say no more than an inch and a half deep. From what i remember the most other than the pain, is that my toes went numb instantly. I noticed it more than the pain because it wasn't a normal thing to happen well, so was having something that long go into my foot. Anyway, it's been 4 days and my toes are still numb.

I am in limbo as far as a diagnosis and i was wondering if what I am feeling sounds like foot drop or a stage of foot drop? Sometimes it effects the way I walk but the pain and stiffness subside eventually if i walk around long enough. The pain is worse in the evening and last for longer periods of time. I have read posts by others about foot pain but i have not come across the same "swollen' feeling being posted by anyone else.

That's exactly what I think. I get it too my fingers and toes go numb. ***** but we're almost done!!

I since have been back in the hospital 3 times due to excessive pain and swelling. My foot is very numb in certain places to where I cant feel it to the touch. I had shooting pain going from above my ankle to the bottom of my foot They now have me on Gabapentin 300mg. three times a day. You might want to ask the doctor if that will help? I'm not a doc but it sure did help withe the shooting in my foot. Hope all goes well.

And I know that the particular nerve may not go into your foot but it is possible to have referred pain. When my SI becomes bad I do experience pain in my foot and toes. No one can explain that but it happens. It may just take awhile for the bruising and swelling of the soft tissues to return to normal. Once that happens your symptoms may disappear or improve. This swelling is not unusual post-op and can effect the nerves in your spinal column. Syrinxes are rare.

Does it happen randomly or when you sit or stand a certain way? I've never had my toes go numb but when I stand too long my thighs go numb from the way baby sits.

I was out the other night and my friend broken a wine glass which cut the top of my foot. Now two of my toes next to my pinky toe are numb like my foot is asleep and it feel like there is an invisible string in my foot that give me a pins and needles sensation from anything to put on sock, moving my foot the wrong way even scratching my ankle sends weird sensations down my foot. The area where it was cut also still has a raised bump even though it is over a week old....

The small toe hurts when I stub it,but it is numb the rest of the time. The big toe had a sudden pain in it 2 days ago...felt like it had broken and hurt for about 3 hours on and off. Now it is totally numb. There is no swelling in the big toe at all. I did nothing to the big toe to inflict pain of any kind. Hi mummas, Over the past few days my right side, and right side only has become increasingly numb. It started in toes then up my foot and now up to my knee. I'm also numb under my right breast (under where you lift the breast) and the numbness wraps right around to my back (again right side only.) Is this normal?

About 6 years ago I had a herniated disc at L4-L5, I was getting out of a hot tub, and my whole left leg went partially numb and my foot and heal are numb. t find the cause for it. It started out as numbness,loss of sensation on the 1st 2 toes of the right foot. Then my left toes started getting the same thing. Saw a neurologist about it and he did diabetic testing and many other tests. All were normal. He diagnosed neuropathy. Was not painfull at the time, so no med RX. That was 2.5 years ago. Now both feet and halfway up my calf has loss of sensation. Total numbness in ball of foot.

t go to the doctor when his toes started turning purple for months, and when he finally did, they had to amputate his foot. Not trying to scare you, but if it is really numb for a long time, you should get to the doctor. At least call the nurse and speak with her.. Wish you luck.

I currently have entire left side numbness from my shoulder to my foot. However on the right side, only numb on foot. It is on the bottom of both feet, namely the arch and ball area. Heel and toes and top of feet are ok. I do not currently have tingling in toes. The way I described my left foot is that if feels as though it has been wrapped in saran wrap, then I'm walking on marbles, in thick socks that feel bunched up on the bottom. This is how it feels when I walk barefoot.

Happens to me too whatever footwear I use. ..I just ignore it now as the cardio is seriously needed! !

Hi, For longer than I can remember, the pinkie toe on my left foot has been numb, sometimes it hurts to touch it. Lately, often, but not always, it feels like there is a lump on the bottom of my foot when I walk. It's towards the outside of the left foot. In addition, I often have severe leg cramps in my lower/left back of leg that shoot down and freeze my foot into a weird position. I went to a podiatrist when it was just the toe numbness. He thought it might be a neuroma.

have you mentioned this foot ankle pain to the Neuro before? I think you should next week. write down all your symptoms.. if the Neuro says he doesn't know.. ask how you can get some answers. How long has this been sore like this? let us know what the Dr say and does med help with this pain?

My right foot which is same side as other issues has been going numb on toes and during the night I have found it painful when standing,walking when get out of bed. Today it feels like it's going to lock up and is more painful.
