Avatar n tn This entrapment could cause pain to the foot. Where is the pain on the bottom of the foot. It is painful only when walking or at all times?
Avatar n tn I have this too, it hurts when I put pressure on the ball of the foot. It goes away after several steps. Foot doctor told me it was a pinched nerve, so that could be it. Mine comes and goes, but was much worse when I was hiking.
Avatar f tn And then it goes away for my left foot after my period starts but the right foot stays this way all the time. What in the world can this be? I don't even know how to search on the symptom tracker for this. It's a dull but irritating pain.
Avatar m tn I notice the pain, which is significant enough to cause limping, whenever I put weight on my foot. After about 5 minutes of walking around the pain goes away. If I take weight off of the foot for 10 or more minutes, the pain will return when I put pressure back on it again. There is no pain while I am not putting weight on the foot. This has persisted for about 5 weeks now. I did not drop anything on my foot, or do anything else to cause any obvious injury prior to the onset of the pain.
1278070 tn?1276224405 When I got home from my walk, I sat down and the pain went away. Over the next few months this happened again several times. After about 5 or 6 months I could not stand or walk for more than 15-20 minutes without my foot going to sleep followed by excruciating, I can't walk pain. The pain feels like its on the inside of my leg and my muscles don't tighte.
Avatar f tn My middle foot has been hurting somewhat for a couple of days now. I skateboard regularly. Age: 17. 2 Years ago I had left knee surgery. The pain though is in my right foot. It sort of pulls and I can feel the pain when I lay my outside side of the foot on the floor. Last week I took a 4-day break off skating and the pain went away. I have skated for 3 days now and the pain is back. It's in the area of where the middle-foot bone(sp?) goes up to the ancle.
16263822 tn?1446538000 The pain is inside the ankle, just above the heel, it is a piercing nerve pain that goes away after 2 sec (going really strong, and then silences in those two seconds) Please help?

Avatar m tn As soon as the walking boot was gone I had severe pain across the bottom of my foot. It seemed to go away within a couple of weeks but the pain in the ball of my foot is still here after 13 weeks. It hurts when I walk at the point of push off. Feels like a stretching type of pain. There is also still numbness on the medial portion of my akle just below the bone (size of a nickel) also the top of my big toe is numb on the lateral side. The pain in the ball of my foot is driving me crazy.
Avatar n tn My ankle is still swollen because my tendons have to finish healing and I have to get use to walking with my foot in the right position. Today I noticed when I push on the swollen part of my foot, it leaves an indent for about 10 seconds and goes away. Can tou please help me?
Avatar n tn The operation was successful and all the pain went away but I still have the drop foot. It causes me to stumble and fall. I have fell three times flat on my face. I stumble walking on carpet , sidewalks and hardwood floors. The Dr. gave me a PT prescription which starts this week . I haven't went to anyone because I don't know what to tell them . How do I know if they know what I am talking about? How do I evaluate them? What do I ask for?
402504 tn?1241996524 I lay in bad at night and rub my legs and use heat and cold packs trrying to releave the pain and muscle spasms. Then this slowly goes away and then I start to feel stronger and walk more normally. The last time these symptoms hit me was in August I became so weak at that time that I could bearly walk just a few feet, sit up straight in a chair or hold my head steady and had trouble keeping my eyes open.
Avatar f tn It only hurts when I press on that part of my foot or when I am walking. The walking pain happens when I lift up my heel taking a step. The pain radiates from the top of the arch of my foot to the heel. The pain was minimal at the beginning of the day, then got worse as the day went on. I taped my foot after a few days of this and am using a walker and crutches I already had to keep weight off of it as much as possible.
246923 tn?1249154300 Hi! I have a little question and I hope you can help me :)...a few weeks ago (1 week and a half) I had a little accident at my school during P.E class, while I was running I twisted my foot and fell down, the whole day was torture since it was really hard to walk...days passed and the pain wouldnt go away, my friend gave me a massage with Bengay (I think that's how it;s called) but the pain won't go away... it is really uncomfortable to walk and very painful...
Avatar f tn I have had some intermittent chest pain that comes and goes in a matter of seconds. Is this normal? Also question about walking exercise. I was walking a mile everyday before the stenting last week. Now I can get to the end of the street (probably 1/4 to 1/3 of a mile) and I have shortness of breath. Is this just in my head? Can I go further? Hate to be a "fraiddy cat" about exercising now. Should I push myself or is it too soon.
203342 tn?1328737207 He was standing in the living room walking gingerly around. I asked him what was wrong. He said his foot really hurt. I asked him if he had injured it and he said no. He said this has been going on the last week or so. I asked if he thought it was a charley horse and he again shook his head and said it was hard to explain. He said it was a throbbing pain that seemed to ease up a bit when he walked on it. I went and got him some Motrin and we went back to bed.
Avatar f tn Hi I havent been dx with ms but thought I woul share my foot pain, I am waiting to get mri of c-spine and t-spine and puncture done. My last episode of foot pain came durning veritgo and first rt leg felt weak thn i noticed when I walked my toes felt like they where slammed in a door so I tried to walk on side of foot but it caused my whole leg to shake, so then kindof walked on inside of foot this went on for a few days (the toe pain). Avatar f tn I had had an episode of extreme foot pain about a year before the hand pain started, in which I woke to pain so severe I had to crawl to the bathroom to avoid putting any weight on my feet. There was also lots of swelling on the bottoms of my feet .And the pain was severe even when I was off of them. Walking felt like walking on broken glass. Radiographs just showed the fluid and swelling.
Avatar m tn ) One thing I learned from my surgeries is that the more exercise I did the better things healed as long as it is the proper exercise for your specific problem then pain will probably go away. Pain is only pain when something is wrong and obviously something is wrong so give yourself time to heal it's your bodies way of saying I'm hurt.
Avatar m tn I found that if I elevate the leg for a day or two the pain goes away. I was able to walk 18 miles the other day after elevating the leg and the pain disapearing. Played some basketball and did a lot of bicycle riding. BUT, after two weeks of being pain free the pain is back even worse.
Avatar f tn She is a gymnast on a top ten college team and although it has been a long road of rehab she can run and tumble now! Walking is easy! No pain. She still has some discomfort after a lot of high impact but the fusion has definitely not limited her normal daily life. She trains for 4 hours 5 days a week! I hope you are getting a second opinion and going for the fusion if you are still in pain. The lisfranc will not heal on its own. Best of luck.
Avatar f tn If I flex my foot upward it really hurts for a while then the pain almost goes away. Also, if I get up after sitting for a long time, oh my, it hurts, its so stiff. I asked my chiropractor, he said I had tight muscles in my hip area causing this, but even when I do stretches it doesn't help, I guess I will have to see my GP as this has been going on for close to a year.
Avatar f tn The only time the pain goes away is when I am walking or standing.Thank you for your time in reading this.
