Common Questions and Answers about Foot pain getting out of bed

foot

Avatar f tn Instead, stretch your feet for ten minutes before you get out of bed. The plantar fascia tendon gets very tight while you are sleeping, and you want it loose before you put your weight on it. You could wear a night boot that will allow you to sleep with the foot in the stretched position. I should point out -- I don't represent any of these shoe brands, but I am a certified pedorthist, and I believe strongly in these brands.

Many of us with MS do experience pain, but it is usually confined to one spot. For me it's my left foot. Pain is generally a secondary MS symptom, rather than a first, or presenting, symptom. Your bowel and bladder issues are aalso common among MS folks.
Avatar f tn When I walk, I can feel twinges of pain down the right side of the foot which prevents me from putting full weight on it.
Avatar n tn 35+2 and in bed rest. The baby is sitting on a nerve and I'm in so much back pain. The doctor put me on bed rest with alternating heat and cold. She needs to move. I have so much to do and the hubby can only take off so much work. Any one else have back problems like this?
Avatar f tn Pain in bed on the top of my left foot. Pain relieved by getting out of bed. Also - numbness and tingling in my right index finger and thumb. Since someone else has the EXACT symptoms, it must be something may others have. Let me know if you have found any info on it and I will research & do the same.
Avatar n tn Hi all. Quick question... Why in the world does my left foot/ankle area hurt EVERY morning when I get out of bed. I had a simliar post about a "weird foot problem" a month or two ago, and it's still bothering me--only worse now. It's like my ankle on that side is so weak. I fell in the flower bed a couple of days ago, and running around the yard with my niece is a scary ordeal because my ankles feel so weak.
Avatar f tn I get better once I get up and start moving, it is that getting out of bed that is tough.I keep my heating pad beside my bed and on those stiff days I put it on my hip for 10-15 minutes before getting up. The heat helps reduce the stiffness. In fact I am sitting on my heating pad right now.
Avatar n tn My dog (4 years old 13 lb Full Chihuahua - not a toy Chihuahua) was diagnosed with diabetes about a month ago. His urination was out of control, then when he started on insulin shots twice a day, he started urinating less. Then he started urinating out of control again, and his inuslin was upped from 2.5 ml to 3 ml. He is once again urinating out of control.
Avatar f tn It has been 2 month and nothing is helping for either the MS Hug or the feet pain. Have gone to my GP and had xray done of the right foot (this foot is the worst). GP was worried of unknown trauma to my feet as I have numbness in both feet on and off. Only found a "shadow spot" as they called it. Was thinking of hair line fracture. GP wants to wait 2 more weeks then do another xray. I am not waiting....
Avatar n tn Something that I do to help with foot cramps is keep a bottle or can next to the bed and roll the arch of my foot over it to help relax the muscle. Since the pain is now in thighs and hands, I would be worried as well. I would take her to a nutritionist if the pediatrician is drawing a blank.
Avatar n tn I had mornings where my first step out of bed was agonizing pain. The more I walked the more it hurt. I have used ice/heat/ibuprofen and nothing has helped. I started wearing my running shoe to bed on my left foot. I believe it has kept my foot straight at night and allows for healing. 4 months later, I have little pain in the morning. I also have stopped running since July. Rest means rest. No running, biking or walking. Take it easy and let it heal. Good Luck.
Avatar m tn pain in foot in the morning & from bed while putting foot on the floor heavy pain
Avatar f tn The pain/numbness is worse in the morning when first getting out of bed. After stretching, feet feel stiff until I start walking and is later in the morning. Icing and Ibuprophen have helped with the pain, but it always comes back. My PCP gave me a referral to Orthopedic physician. Symptoms: Ball of foot pain and feels like my sock is bunched up under my foot. Feels swollen, but does not look swollen.

Avatar f tn Yes Suzi, I had lots of back pain. All sorts of strange joint conditions. For one week I could not straighten my left leg. Hang in there it should pass.
Avatar m tn Everything else seems lovely. I feel better in terms of pain in the back and leg. The foot pain persists which the surgeon says will take a few weeks to improve but i have felt a definite loss of sensation on the same foot and lower leg after one month. The surgeon says its normal because of extensive surgery that was peformed on my back and it will improve with time. I was worried and need a specialist doctors advise in this regard. Thanks in anticipation.
Avatar f tn My dog has always slept in my bed because my husband snores and usually I will kick him out. Ha ha. Well, she would sleep at the foot of the bed on a pet throw. WELL, recently, my husband returned to the bed...we got his snoring issues resolved. We tried still allowing the dog to sleep with us, but it's just not working. So we put the throw on the floor and told her she has to sleep there.
Avatar f tn You sodium intake may have a lot to do with it. Less sodium way more water. If that doesn't help maybe change your shoes. I work for Nike and im 29weeks i had to change into "mommy" shoes once i reached 27weeks due to foot pain.
1218873 tn?1300091216 I keep getting a like cramp feeling on top of my foot/ankle area. It comes on having walked the shortest of distances. When I stretch the foot out it is also painful as would happen when trying to get rid of cramp. It is primarily in the right foot but the left foot is joining in too now. But I've really only heard of cramp in the instep of the foot. Has anyone else experienced this? any ideas what to do about it.

Avatar f tn Went to the ER on Saturday because my foot turned purple and had a bunch of tests run. Apparently my RSD is back in action as well as an inflamed sciatic nerve and bursitis. I'm in so much pain its making me miserable and on edge. I keep snapping at everyone and I feel terrible but I can't help it. I'm 29+1 and I'm already ready to get this baby out so I can get the rest of my tests done and start pain management.
