Avatar f tn A warm bath helps as well as plenty of rest before I clock in the next day, and a foot massage from hubby works wonders.
Avatar f tn I have pain in my feet like I've been standing on them for a long time and I just woke up. What can I do to relieve this pain?
Avatar f tn I already posted this in another forum but i wanted as much feed back as i can get lol....So I have had pain in the back of my heels since I found out I was pregnant but recently it's getting worse. It doesn't matte if I'm standing or sitting the pain is horrible. If I sit for more than two minutes and try to get up and walk the pain is almost unbearable! Does anyone know what this is? Any advice? Should I talk to my dr when I see her next?
Avatar n tn The pain is a hot pain that goes from the side of my heel up about 3 inches toward my achilies tendon.
Avatar f tn m still in physical therapy although coming to an end, only one week left. My problem is I still have alot of pain when walking or standing for more than a few minutes. Also numbness from the knee down but mostly on the inside of my ankle and foot into the toes. I also have tingling sensation in my foot from time to time. My biggest concern though is the severe pain in my toes. My toes ache and feel swollen and puffy although they don't really look swollen.
Avatar n tn It is now 6 weeks since my surgery and I am still having pain from the back of my knee to my foot. The numbess(tingling feeling) is on top and bottom of my foot. The worst is the ball of my foot up to the toes. Also; when I walk it feels like I have been standing on concrete for 24 hours. The whole bottom of the foot hurts like it is bruised or something. I went yesterday and had a EMG, and the doctor performing it said I did indeed have abnormalities from the nerve block.
Avatar m tn Did it get better? I jumped off a swing and landed on a stone. 3 months now and awful pain walking, standing. Done all the stretching, etc. they say to do. Don't see a podiatrist until February (!!) and he will probably advise more of the same. Any advice out there? What about the shockwave therapy?? I've run into people who say they have had this pain for YEARS and it cripples once active people. Jump off a stupid swing and - there goes your life? I am so depressed. I'm age 50.
Avatar f tn There is a bump that looks like something popped possibly a vein but am unsure if thats what it is. Overall my right foot is larger, from the swelling, than my left foot.
Avatar n tn You can also try foot wear with soles designed according to pressure points. Also when you are standing keep changing the position, lift your foot off the ground for sometime and let your foot bear the body weight alternatively. If possible keep a small stool nearby on which you can rest your foot from time to time.
Avatar m tn I just stood there for a few seconds with my foot up in the air kind of bracing myself from the pain. When I put my foot back down and started to take my shower the hot water really bothered it, but I kept going with my shower trying to suck it up. As I was applying the shampoo to my hair (I always shampoo my hair first), both of my arms felt like they were getting really weak (like when you hold them up for too long).
Avatar m tn Also picking up objects such as marbles with your toes and putting them in a cup will help strengthen. Standing on one foot (the bad foot) trying to balance for 30 seconds with your eyes closed. Try these things! Rehabilitation after injury is so important or pain will presist.
Avatar m tn as time went on iv been thru phisio MRI scans which nothing showed also had steroid injection coz the doctor thought it mite have been a gout but it went that either then I woz given specially made cast in souls for my flat feet I have had all my life and never affected me until this injury occurred so carried on wearing them for about 10 months and realized where I woz initially having the pain started to ease but I woz having a lot of pain on my heels the moment I was standing on them for more
1283844 tn?1447474493 I have worn them several times before without pain, but this time by the end of the day I was in alot of pain. I took the shoes off and I could tell the balls of my feet were swollen cause my toes didn't touch the floor even after being out of the shoes. I rested them and the swelling went away. I wear Nike sneakers pretty much all the time now, cause if I wear anything else I have instant pain in the balls of my feet. I can't even wear my flat dress shoes.
Avatar n tn Being a walking tendon I take it all the time already. Mines in my left foot after I had been standing on pavement for 2 weeks in bad shoes. I can only assume it's nerve damage. Pain is one thing but it "vibrates" in intervals and it keeps me up all night. It's literally making me crazy at this point.
Avatar n tn I twisted over the top of my right foot. No impact of the foot occured but I have a lot of pain coming from the top of the foot. I spent two hours in casualty last night but was advised that no break could be seen on the x ray of the metatarsal (2nd -3rd). The doctor was a bit dismissive but this morning I have struggled to walk and the pain is worse. Am I right in thinking that the X-rays should have been taken whilst standing up? This wasn’t the case.
Avatar n tn You are having pain at the big toe joint b/c the joint is out of alignment. Wearing high heels can add more stress to the joint. Have you taken x-rays of the foot? It helps to evaluate the bunion and get a better perspective to see what needs to be surgically done. If the mal-alignment is severe, you would need a procedure that requires 6 weeks on crutches. If not, you would most likely get a procedure that would allow immediate weight bearing.
Avatar f tn I already tried that . Then again I was working all day and was standing mostly all day.
Avatar m tn Did any of you find a solution (or a cause, for that matter) to your foot pain? I have been having chronic pain for 8+ years. Multiple tests, multiple doctors, multiple thousands of dollars... show all normal.
