Common Questions and Answers about Foot pain from flip flops

foot

Avatar f tn The only kind of flip flops I found that actually feel comfortable and doesn't leave my feet in pain would be Nike Celso Womens flip flop. They are flip flops but its not flat, so it won't hurt your foot. Seems like the only thing I can wear and not be in pain about now lol.
Avatar n tn Hey guys, last year i took my cousins flips flops because i have a foot fetish, and used them to become sexually aroused, little did i know that flip flops carry all sorts of germs and stuff like that, (I read it in a news article).
1354136 tn?1331875317 lol so glad you are a flip flop fan who can relate. honestly flip flops saved me from the misery of my ingrown toenails, i hate having something pushing on my toes all the time, shoes just never fit me right. i will also die with my flops on, i'm staring at them right now missing them.
Avatar n tn I live in well made flip-flops due to my bunions and foot pain. No, flip-flops are never recommended by podiatrists. It's true flip-flops are never truly well made. :0) I'm well aware of those facts - but it's the only time my little piggys are fairly pain free. Have you had an x-ray? I assume you have no swelling or redness? If your pain continues your best source is a good podiatrist. Good luck and please let us know how you are doing.
Avatar f tn If you feel them they are luke warm, the hot burning is coming from the inside, not on the outside, they arent swelling none, but feel puffy. My shoes are fitting fine, being flip flops, have wore them for many many months, being in Az it is hot outside, other than that I go barefooted. I do take meds for high blood pressure, reg pressure for me is about 150/110,with new meds its now 130/85. To get any comfort I have to wash them in ice water, then its back about 30 min later.
Avatar f tn I had a blister today ealing with red colour under my foot. Did I risk to walk without flip flops in the changing room and shower if for some reasons there were infected blood or fresh sperm on the floor? Do I need to worry about it?
Avatar f tn Low B12 can cause some tingling sensations. It's possible the low D could be causing the bone pain. I too have the same foot pain you described and don't know what might be causing it. I have lupus and think it flares up severely when I have a lupus flare. My dr. thinks it's platars fisitis. But that usually comes w/ heel pain. Mine is in the arch of the foot and where the toes meet the ball of my foot. Did you dr. have any explaination on why your D was low?
280418 tn?1306325910 t know what literally causes the nerve damage and resulting pain. I have tried several shoes - the best are flip flops (open air) and then leather shoes that are loose, because they tend to be cool. Thanks again for your input!
Avatar f tn I have a bruised heel on my left foot. I stepped on a rock wearing flip flops. That happened a month ago and the pain is still with me. How long should this take to heel? Does anyone know a remedy or answers for me? Your help is appreciated.
492921 tn?1321289896 I noticed last Thursday my toes hurt to bend and when I took my flip flops off I noticed that I had marks on my feet from the straps. I soaked my feet in an Epsom salt bath and went to bed. By morning my feet were fine and I noticed that when I put my flip flops back on they were loose but about two hours later they were tight on my feet and my feet were tingling. Every day since I have had tingling in my feet and sometimes I look at them and there purple.
Avatar f tn Hello~First, I think you need a good, supportive pair of walking shoes, walking in flip-flops certainly won't give you lower back any support. Second, I think seeing a chiropractor will help. You probably have some pinched nerves and misaligned vertebrae in the lower back and hip and that is also contributing to the pain. Chiropractors are trained to find areas that can be causing issues, especially in the back region and hips.
460830 tn?1347219306 I HAVE A PERSISTENT CASE OF ATHLETE'S FOOT. I'VE BEEN KEEPING MY FEET DRY AND CLEAN, AND I'M WEARING FLIP-FLOPS, INSTEAD OF THE TENNIS SHOES AND SOCKS I USUALLY WEAR. I'VE ALSO BEEN USING TINACTIN FOOT SPRAY TWICE OR MORE A DAY. THE ITCHING, BURNING AND CRACKING IS DRIVING ME CRAZY! ALSO, I HAVE A RED BUMP ON THE BOTTOM OF ONE TOE. I HAVE SOME KETOCONAZOLE TABLETS LEFT OVER FROM WHEN I WAS TAKING RADIATION AND MY MOUTH GOT A FUNGAL INFECTION; WOULD THESE HELP, OR DO HARM?
Avatar f tn Flip flops .....
Avatar f tn Blisters usually come from a fold in the sock, rubbing in an irregular way on the foot. Or a place where the sock has a hole, or where the leather of the boot is rubbing harder than other parts of the foot. What about the fit of his shoes? How good quality are they? And his socks? He would actually be less likely to get blisters if he went around in flip flops or barefoot.
Avatar n tn neuropathy pain can be caused from vit b deficiency, alcohol consumption, drugs/medications, or nerve compression. the small red spots may be contact dermatitis: you may be allergic to rubber (flip flops), try an over the counter cortisone cream on a small area. if it doesn't make it worsen, apply to the area twice daily.
Avatar f tn No way for anyone on here to tell you what's wrong -- no orthopedists on here. If you truly are saying that your foot feels numb, I'd probably go see your doctor, though. Numbness isn't the same as tight calves. That's a circulation blockage or nerve problem. Not sure that's what you're actually saying, though.
Avatar f tn There's an article out saying flip flops are a big problem http://on9news.
Avatar f tn I was walking in a CVS parking lot and my toe felt like it got poked by something. I had on flip flops. Looked around and didn't see anything but maybe a stick and a tiny piece of glass. Went home and before I went to bed banged that same foot on my daughters stool. Now there is a bruise on the bottom of the same foot and it hurts to walk. What are the chances I got poked by a needle? What are my risks?
2025592 tn?1348156019 but lately my right foot and sometimes left have been hurting like someone got a hammer and whacked my foot. but its not a bruised kind of pain..its every time i walk on it,..its hurts. aches etc. Should i be concerned or is it just another wonderful pregnancy related item? im debating wether to mention it to doctor.
Avatar n tn Don't cover. I would recommend wearing pair of flip flops or something open around the toes while at home and out if you can.
360318 tn?1340393363 I would just stay out of the heat as much as possible though and go buy yourself some flip flops!!! I actually got some guys flip flops this last time and they are so so comfortable. I have larger feet for a girl and they are already a tad wide so guys flip flops work great.
Avatar f tn May I ask how old your daughter is? Also is she overweight? Hows long has this been going on? Does she have an allergies? Is she on any medications? Is she pregnant? (I see your age is 16, so I am assuming the answer would be no). If you are unsure whether the Doctor was thorough or not, perhaps you could get a second opinion. Flip flops are not the best support for feet and one needs to be careful about catching them on something.
Avatar m tn They itched at first but not anymore. There is a clear fluid in them. Each toe had a large blister about the size of a pea, with a couple of smaller ones. I've had them about 2 weeks. The blisters on the right toe broke and are healing, the left toe is still blistered. I have only worn flip flops for the past 6 weeks so it isn't from shoes. I went to the Dr. who told me it was not staph, or athletes foot. She didn't take any samples.
Avatar m tn I was wearing flip flops and as I stood there I was to my suprise standing on top of a syringe with a needle attached. A day after I suddenly started to worry about HIV. I did not at the time feel a needle poke, but how likely is it to be transmitted by HIV if the needle stuck me in the foot? Is it possible to transmit HIV by accidentially beeing stuck by a needle laying somewhere out in the environment ?
Avatar f tn is anybody else swelling up so much that they can only get their flip flops half on their feet and they can't wear their wedding rings????
