Common Questions and Answers about Foot pain diagnosis chart

foot

Avatar f tn This knot does not hurt. Could this be the source of my pain? My foot actually hurts more toward the outside and where the heel starts. The heel itself is not really painful. Also, my foot feels like it is going to get a cramp in more now. Is the knot any cause for concern? Thanks for your advice.
Avatar f tn Could both be related and having nerve problems in 1 leg and foot?
680296 tn?1229620981 I went from the burning and pain in my right foot to the same in my left foot (mirrored over) and the RSD is now in both feet and legs. My Pain Mgmt. Specialist sent me to a Neuro because I started having other pain that she felt may not be related to RSD, but if he ruled out other stuff, she was considering full-body RSD, because my hands were beginning to do what my feet did. My symptoms are very consistent with MS.
Avatar m tn Other health issues like thyroid disease can also bring on foot, leg, and hand pain - I also have this. Custom foot Orthodics also help but not alone- the good ones start at $200 a pair. The flimsy $10 ones offer no support.
Avatar n tn I waited another hour, and then a nurse appeared with my scrip for lortab and my discharge papers - by the way NO tests were done at this point, NO diagnosis was given, just apparently I am a chronic pain sufferer who can never be injured because It will never get properly diagnosed and treated. I was so disgusted I left the ER immediately with my husband and called to complain the next day. Nothing ever came of it..
281565 tn?1295982683 Foot pain was a symptom for me for about three months. I had the worst pain when I walked - it was like both feet were broken. Turns out that the bottoms of both feet were spasming. When hubby rubbed on them, they felt better, although sometimes it would set off a spasm. I have to wonder if spasticity in your foot is causing your toes to feel sprained. Maybe you can talk somebody into rubbing your feet for you?
Avatar f tn A 3 pound can was dropped on the top of my foot today,I am experiencing swelling and pain that shoots down to my toes ands up my leg.I can still walk on my foot but it hurts.Could I have a small fracture on the top of my foot?
Avatar n tn this happened to me about 3-4 years ago as well - and it went away - same pain - at that time I treated myself for a small blister on my toe with lamisil. Prior to getting my PN diagnosis, I went to a foot doctor, then to a dermatologist. foot doc of course wanted me to buy $350 worth of something to insert in my shoes, dermatologist said no to athletes foot. Why I can't accept it's PN is because of the time before.... exact and I mean exact symptoms.... and it went away.
Avatar f tn t know the technical term) around to about the opening of my vagina. No leg pain or numbness except for a rare tingling in my foot. I haven't had any loss of bladder or bowel function. Sitting just kills me. Standing or walking does not. I can hardly ride in a car and sitting in my desk chair or a restaurant chair, even padded ones, have now become unbearable. I'm in pt but it isn't doing anything for this pain.
3134509 tn?1342624494 Just over the past couple weeks I've had a few issues concerning my joints. First, my knee was a bother. I'm talking about pain so extreme I couldn't walk, I couldn't even lay down with a great amount of pain. It faded after a few days. But it seemed it came from the inside part of my knee. That was on my right leg. Then, maybe a week after, my foot/ankle started to act up on the same leg. It was extremely painful to walk on the ball of my foot.
Avatar n tn The leg pain may be referred pain due to urinary tract problems or may be a different problem altogether. Although you go to urinate every 5 minutes, do not reduce your fluid intake. You still need to be well hydrated. The recommended amount of fluids (not alcohol) to be drunk during the day is around 2 litres. Your doctor or urologist would advise you whether you should drink more or less than this amount.
Avatar f tn m having constant pain in my foot that burns and also shocks of pain that causes me to not stand or walk. I have seen the Dr's also had many x-ray's but they all tell me there is nothing they can do for the pain. Any suggestion's?
3157939 tn?1343582734 after review of his chart and history i feel that he is not a good candidate for chiropractic care. Post significant diagnosis has been stenosis. after review of his chart and history i feel that he is not a good candidate for chiropractic care.
Avatar f tn I am not a doctor but about 4 years ago, I had foot pain as well, went to doctors, no reason for the pain, lasted about 3 month then went away, then had first really bad bought of numbness and tingling in my one arm,no diagnosis took place then, still off and on issues and finally got diagnosis of MS a few months ago. I wonder if the foot pain was MS since nothing helped it then. I get foot pain now so that is why I think it was MS related.
Avatar n tn I have severe leg pain on both legs, with the right leg the worst of the two. The pain is about 9 to 10 and off the chart with a duration of 4- 36 hours. Occurs sporadically and stretches from the top of the hip, covering the thigh and goes all the way down to the ankle. I have had brain MRI/MRA, C Spine, L Spine and T Spine MRIs - all normal, except for a small bulge in the C spine that is NOT compressing. My EMG and NCV was normal - the testing only covered foot from ankle and below.
Avatar m tn When I asked about how that related to the pain in my back/chest he said that his initial diagnosis was still likely the cause and the two issues were unrelated. I have not had an MRI or an xray and I am currently taking a new anti-inflamatory medication. Most of the time, it seems like I do not have chest/back and leg pain simultaneously. It is is either one or the other. It seems like my doctor got lazy on his diagnosis and I was rushed out the door at both my visits and thrown some pills.
Avatar f tn Hi, I have some of your symptoms too and several of the diagnosis mentioned. Foot drop which was not corrected by back surgery. Now I have adhesions due to surgery. Also spinal stenosis, radiculopathy to my big toe. Its a very lonely feeling living with chronic pain. Hang in there. I think support groups help me cope.
Avatar n tn Its gone on for 3yrs. now and the only diagnosis we have is growing pain. The pain is now taking place in her hands and the last couple of weeks, her thighs. I have no medical history except that she is Mian Indian (very small) and was 6 weeks premie. Can anyone help, I can't stand to watch her suffer anymore, not to mention, we could all use some sleep. Thanks.
Avatar f tn Feels like the skin on the back of my ankle is ripping when I flex my right foot or bend over with knees straight! It’s a horrible burning tearing pain. I’ve also noticed that when my foot is relaxed that the skin in that area actually feels somewhat numb! Wish someone knew what is causing this.
Avatar m tn I am having all sorts of pain in my foot and leg and can't seem to get a diagnosis. So far, I've seen two podiatrists, neurologst, PCP, and will see an orthopedic surgeon in about a month. Last year I rolled over my big toe with a pallet jack that had a pallet on it at an old job. Well at the time it didn't break my foot or cause any bruising or any type of problem that required medical attention so I let it go.
Avatar n tn Yes, I've been having some pain in my left calf to heel also, along with bilateral pelvic pain. I'm constantly feel like I have a major toothache with stabbing pain with movement.
1673981 tn?1305516582 Now I still have some leg pain on the left side where disc was... minor foot tinglyness and pain. Today, my right leg calf hurts on and off and the right foot very minor pain. I'm worried about re-herniation of something... I'm not sure if there is enough L5-S1 left to reherniate, but what about the other side?.... My butt muscles feel very tired and are sensitive to touch. I called surgeon Monday and he said it sounds more like muscle trouble.... well now I have leg pain..
Avatar m tn Within the last two months, I have been experiencing burning and pain in my right foot (including toes). I am taking oxcarbazepine, is this a side affect or does it mean I need to increase the dose.
527734 tn?1212761586 8 months ago I had my 3rd child. I lost most of my baby weight and seemed to be doing well working on losing some extra I had put on after child #2 and never got rid of, I had my tubes tied the day I delivered my 3rd child, and things seemed to be okay; but then I started getting foot pain after my son was about 2 months old, and I noticed that the weight I had lost came back fast. I had not changed my diet or my routine.
