1283844 tn?1447474493 I have worn them several times before without pain, but this time by the end of the day I was in alot of pain. I took the shoes off and I could tell the balls of my feet were swollen cause my toes didn't touch the floor even after being out of the shoes. I rested them and the swelling went away. I wear Nike sneakers pretty much all the time now, cause if I wear anything else I have instant pain in the balls of my feet. I can't even wear my flat dress shoes.
Avatar m tn Heya! thanks for your reply and view! Hmm could be the shoes but they really well fitted and cushioned. It's really odd because it started as a small ache in the middle toes. Then after a week it was difficult to walk on the ball of both feet and on hard surfaces bare footed. Now it's affected the heal and ankle of both and I feel my symptoms might spread upwards. This has all come on four+ weeks after I stopped intense activities because of my mid/upper back!.
Avatar n tn I am on the ball of my foot alot of the time. Its just a real weird sensation.
Avatar m tn The pain is on the top of foot, ball of foot, and the area just beneath the front of the ankle, and in both feet. There is pain between attacks. When walking pain will show up then after awhile disappear. There is pain in the ball of foot when I put weight on them or just push them against the wall when lying. There is also slight pain when inactive that shows up out nowhere. Ankle and heel seem fine. I have lost weight since, but I am still very obese.
1308443 tn?1302693321 I tried every shoe in my closet with and without orthotics. Nothing is helping and now the ball of my foot and heel hurt too. The pain has almost formed a line from the ball to my heel. Is this normal for a strained plantar fascia?
Avatar f tn You sodium intake may have a lot to do with it. Less sodium way more water. If that doesn't help maybe change your shoes. I work for Nike and im 29weeks i had to change into "mommy" shoes once i reached 27weeks due to foot pain.
Avatar f tn You can try an ice or cool pack to your feet before and after running, foot powder to help, a foot spray for athletes foot. These things have been known to help. New shoes and socks or these methods does often solve the problem for runners. One other note on shoes is that maybe your feet have grown a tiny bit and so your shoes still fit but are tight, all of them. Too tight shoes can cause this. If that doesn't help, I would say that you need to see a doctor at this point.
Avatar f tn It started to hurt every time I would walk long distances and would feel like I had my socks bunched up under my toes. It graduated to constant ball of foot pain with numbness in the ball of foot and toes with tenderness between the metatarsal bones on both feet. Has anyone ever had this or currently has the same symptoms? I have been to my GP who thinks it is a foot issue. I have an appointment with an Orthopedic, but could not get an appointment until April.
Avatar n tn foot was broken 29 years ago and now i have pain in the bottom of my feet I am a diabetic 2 but foot has been hurting for about 2 weeks now, could this be neuropathy as well?.
1142551 tn?1264736930 I experienced pain a lot of pain in my feet, too. The pain got so bad that any amount of pressure on them made it almost impossible at times to walk without falling. I also needed a shower chair because I couldn't stand while taking a shower. Before I started my DMDs, my neuro prescribed Lyrica, which helped. Also, shoes with comfortable soles helped a little bit. I bought shoe inserts for my shoes that didn't have thicker soles which also seemed to help a little bit.
Avatar f tn I didn't use it, but I too bought Athlete's Foot medicine :-) I went to put it on and realized there wasn't anything there!
Avatar m tn The term Metatarsalgia just describes pain and inflammation in the ball of the foot. It is often thought of as a symptom of other conditions, rather than as a specific disease - conditions such as tendonitis as Jemma suggested or other conditions, . Again I'm sorry if I wasn't clear - and I will repeat what Jemma and I and said - please see your PCP (Primary Care Physician.
Avatar n tn After sitting or lying down, even driving a car for a period of time, my feel get extremely painful, especially in the area between the ball of the foot and the heel. the heel never gets sore. It takes up to 2 hours of walking about before the pain subsides, but it returns as soon as I sit again. The pain almist feels as if someone has taken a knife and shredded the bottom of my feet. It is the same in both feet.
Avatar m tn Is the pain just below your toes, kind of near the ball of your foot? Does it feel like the foot is on fire and being stabbed at the same time?
486038 tn?1300063367 I had about three months of such extreme foot pain that I thought my feet were broken. It turns out that it was all spasticity in my feet. There's several ways to deal with it. I wrapped both feet in those stretchy ace bandage supporters, and it seemed to 'hold' everything together, and reduced the pain. Probably the muscles in my feet weren't having to work so hard. My hubby also helped by rubbing the bottoms of the feet, and working out the knots in those areas.
Avatar m tn Pain in soles of both feet. I am a 38 year old male and have had pain in both feet for over 3 years. The pain is less in the morning or after resting but worse when standing still. To the point where I can barely wait in a long queue as the pain is so bad. I have seen a specialist who said I have plantar faschitis but after 3-4 months of physio he has discharged me saying there is nothing he can do.
Avatar f tn I have had trouble with feet pain. In my case, I had a lot of burning and pain that felt like I was walking on broken feet. Although both feet hurt, it was my right foot that was the worst. It was worst in the morning or when I was sitting a while and tried to get up. It was so bad that I was rolling around in a desk chair at work and got my doctor to write a prescription for a wheelchair. I had to hold onto furniture and walls to walk around.

Avatar n tn I've get heart palpitations a lot, espicially after i exercise and I'm starting to get injured more frequently. I think i have a stress fracture on my left foot kind of under the big toe (ball of the foot) that hasn't gone away since last November.
Avatar f tn I have this clear skin covered pocket on the ball of my foot it's been there for months we thought it was a wart and we went to the health center to have it frozen which they did well come to find out it was not a wart and it was a human hair caused from me cutting hair for work shoved straight up into my footI have the worst feet in history at least it feels like some days from the arch to the ball of my foot it hurts extremely and is very sensitive to the touch.
Avatar n tn There is possibility of stress fracture of metatarsals, neuropathy, tendonitis etc. If possible get X ray foot done to rule out stress fracture.
Avatar m tn I have constant numbness, tingling, shooting pain in my toes, pain at the base of my foot in the heal of my foot, the arches and the ball of my foot. At times, it feels like a rug or sock is crumpled up under the ball of my foot. Believe it or not, my toenails hurt as well. The pain is always present and ranges from about 7-10 on a 10 scale with 10 being the absolute worst. There are times when I cannot feel my feet for several days at a time.
1415174 tn?1453243103 They usually tend to be found in areas of pressure such as the heel and ball of the foot. Plantar warts grow into the deeper layers of skin because of the pressure they receive because of their location. Warts may go away on their own but if it is causing severe pain then treatment may be needed to lessen symptoms. Keep your feet dry. Plantar fibromas are usually seen arising from the plantar fascia. When they become very large or develop pain it may need treatment.
Avatar m tn During my most recent long run (15.5 miles) it felt like my sock was bunched up under the ball of my right foot. When I finished the run and took off the sock, nothing was there. However, when I walk the ball of my foot feels like a knot. It is slightly painful when I run but not unbearable. It also tingles when I run.
