Avatar m tn If you feel that you need to exercise, try swimming instead of running for now. Swimming is easier on injuries. Im glad you scheduled a doctors appointment. Please keep me updated.
Avatar f tn One of my kids is a competitive swimmer-- injuries in swimming are often shoulder related?? Anyway, more details would help as Jemma says.
Avatar m tn I have purchased some books and am currently doing some stretching and yesterday I tried some toe raises. I managed about 40. My feet do feel better. Fortunately, the injuries to both feet are not that bad as I don't run, just walk. I'm sure this all started with elliptical machine, as I had been walking more and stretching from elliptical just aggravated PF. I may try some exercises for arches, like towel crunch.
Avatar f tn I have been trying to stick to an exercise program that includes swimming and other low impact activities. I also occasionally take 1/2 a Lortab 5/500 along with 500mg APAP. Yesterday I felt like I was at the end of my rope. The pain was so bad it was incapacitating. Is there anything that might benefit me that I'm not already doing???
Avatar n tn He said that was probably something I was born with. He said he did not know what was wrong with my foot and sent me to see a foot and ankle specialist. They ordered an ultrasound to rule out blood clots and there were not any. Now the foot and ankle specialist does not know what is wrong with my foot. I am not able to walk much on my foot and I can not put my toes to the floor. When I do walk on it, I have to walk on the side of my foot because the pain is so bad.
Avatar n tn Hi, I have a pain in my right foot. It is on the top of my foot and only last a few seconds then goes away. Seems to happen most when I am relaxed or laying down. I can't recall any injuries, there is no bruising and does not hurt to touch or press. It is quite painful while it's happening and has been going on for the last 3 days. Does anyone know what this might be or how I can stop it from happening?
Avatar f tn My son is now almost 13, when he was approx 6 we were told he had webbed feet as 2 toes on either foot appeared to be shorter.
Avatar n tn Other conditions that can cause foot pain include ligament injuries and joint irritation. These problems can also be relieved with more accommodating footwear. Treatment of foot pain often consists of anti-inflammatory medications, footwear modifications, and inserts for your shoes. Metatarsal pads help to take pressure off the ball of the foot. If some simple steps do not alleviate your symptoms, you should see your doctor to ensure you are receiving adequate treatment.

Avatar m tn There is pain, tenderness and swelling at the outer border of the foot, most marked at the site of 5th metatarsal. Diagnosis is easy by an X-ray. Treatment is by below knee walking plaster cast for 3 weeks. Take care!
Avatar m tn About two weeks ago, strained my left ab/oblique doing weighted crunches -_-. So now I have three injuries and I am not working out/running or anything at all. None of the injuries had any swelling or bruising, but they still have not healed. I tried ice/heat etc.. I am still in physical therapy for my shoulder but the other injuries have kinda halted that process as well. I fee like an 80 year old everything hurts...
Avatar n tn I injured a tendon in my right foot several times. Recently, 5 months, I have had severe pain, could not walk on it. I used an ankle brace, heat, ice and rested it but it has not resolved itself completely. Is there anything left to do?
973741 tn?1342342773 HI, Mom. I've had the darned curse of plantar fasciitis in my left heel for several years now. It's not the worst case, but it forced me to go back to doing things I hurt myself doing before and now I hurt myself doing them again. But it does sound like plantar fasciitis. The other possibilities are a bruise or an impinged nerve, but I'd guess if you've had plantar fasciitis and never found the cure for how you're moving you have it again.
Avatar f tn t matter when you take them swimming, I asked my HV and she said whenever you want. Wee man is 9w tomorrow and has been swimming twice, and only got his jags on monday.
3026831 tn?1340069065 I woke up a couple months ago and i had ankle/foot pain in my left foot. My whole foot will get swolen, on my ankle it will get kind of greenish like a bruise.
Avatar m tn I have been playing football for 3 years now and no serious injuries in the past two. A few days ago i started getting a pain on my left foot about 2-3 inches above the big toe. It hurts the most when I walk up stairs or walk in general. When playing football i dont feel any pain what so ever because my mind is focused on the game. I am a Defensive linemen and i am 6'5" 290 lbs if that helps. There is no bruising or swelling. Please help me!
Avatar n tn Though it is possible to get mortons neuroma twice in the same foot; other possibilities such as fractures, ligament/ tendon injuries, infections, inflammations like fasciitis etc, spur formation, heel fat pad syndrome, arch issues etc may also need to be considered as possible diagnoses to the symptoms. I would suggest consulting an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. Hope this helps. Take care!
Avatar f tn I agree with Remar, I would see a doctor, you may have had some minor internal injuries to the foot and that needs to be taken care of.
Avatar m tn I had asked him the question of why my foot was swelling. He simply said it was fluid.. (it was only my foot that had been n swelling at the moment) But since then my whole leg from my hip to my foot has ballooned up. It's still the same color but its hard to move and very heavy. I don't no whats going on and I am a little concerned.
