Avatar m tn "What I do to redure belly fat and also a bit of tingling I get at my foot " You can start by eating and following a diabetic diet, refrain from drinking unhealthy liquids such as beer and sodas, and perform daily exercise, which doesn't have be "extensive". The latter can be walking, sit-ups, push-ups, aerobic, and yoga like stretches. As far as your foot tingling, without seeing the results of medical evaluation it is difficult to say the cause.
Avatar n tn Was the foot and ankle specialist a podiatrist or an MD? Can you find an foot and ankle surgeon at a teaching hospital? I had foot and ankle problems for 4 plus and had all the tests (at least twice) everything was always normal. Finally I found a doctor who was willing to do surgery and found I had very lax ligaments. Does your foot feel like it is about to give out? I recommend that you search until you find answers and do not take "it's nerve pain.
Avatar f tn My son is now almost 13, when he was approx 6 we were told he had webbed feet as 2 toes on either foot appeared to be shorter.
6710145 tn?1395234434 I have known, as a person your age, of foot ball players getting a blood clot from foot ball (tackling) injuries. That's why I ask the above. The doctor's advice to see your doctor is the best advice. But try to limit your input to your doctor to your symptoms, not to self/web diagnosis which can detract from the value of you input. That said a physical injury is not a self diagnosis, is it part of symptom/environmental input.
Avatar m tn There is pain, tenderness and swelling at the outer border of the foot, most marked at the site of 5th metatarsal. Diagnosis is easy by an X-ray. Treatment is by below knee walking plaster cast for 3 weeks. Take care!
Avatar n tn Other conditions that can cause foot pain include ligament injuries and joint irritation. These problems can also be relieved with more accommodating footwear. Treatment of foot pain often consists of anti-inflammatory medications, footwear modifications, and inserts for your shoes. Metatarsal pads help to take pressure off the ball of the foot. If some simple steps do not alleviate your symptoms, you should see your doctor to ensure you are receiving adequate treatment.
Avatar n tn Hi, I have a pain in my right foot. It is on the top of my foot and only last a few seconds then goes away. Seems to happen most when I am relaxed or laying down. I can't recall any injuries, there is no bruising and does not hurt to touch or press. It is quite painful while it's happening and has been going on for the last 3 days. Does anyone know what this might be or how I can stop it from happening?

1385464 tn?1293443504 I have had major multiple injuries in the last 10 years. Shattered shoulder blade, fractures of: L4-L5 processes, sternum, both wrists (distal radius) several fingers, ankle, foot avulsion, major knee injury both sides (ACL and medial crucial ligament) The list actually goes on and on. What I'm asking is HOW am I going to make it 30 years from now when I'm in my 60's if I hurt this bad now? It makes me angry when I'm in pain.
Avatar m tn m sorry to hear that you are experiencing all of this. It is indeed possible to get nerve and muscle injuries from your type of work. The normal wear and tear of our bodies tissues makes us more prone to these injuries. However, this should not be permanent and such injuries can recover given adequate rest and time. I suggest that you discuss with your doctors regarding rehabilitation exercises, as well as medications for neuropathies such as Vitamin B complex and/or neurontin.
Avatar m tn In the last 2-3 years have acquired severe pain in ankle and foot! I get a burning pain in center of foot and at the ball behind big toe it stays sore to the touch.. .. Any recommendations!???
Avatar m tn If this really concerns you and/or is getting worse see a neuro-ophthalmologist. Find one at www.aao.org As part of the work up I suggest a EEG to rule out atypical seizure disorder.
Avatar n tn I injured a tendon in my right foot several times. Recently, 5 months, I have had severe pain, could not walk on it. I used an ankle brace, heat, ice and rested it but it has not resolved itself completely. Is there anything left to do?

Avatar m tn I have trouble raising my left !eg/ foot to climb stairs, getting into my car and sitting down/ standing up. I also get pain putting my sick and shoe on. The pain is near the crease of my thigh and pelvis and radiates to my front thigh, knee, shin and foot. It's been 8 weeks now and am doing exercises but it's still a big problem. Seem to be getting nowhere. Any help or advice please?
Avatar n tn Whenever I lift my feet, including when I am walking, they hang down heavily and it feels like the Tibia? (I looked at a picture of ankle/foot anatomy and based on the diagram I assume it is the Tibia) and my feet are disconnected. It sort of feels like a bruising pain. I even have trouble rotating both of my feet. Not because of the pain (even though it does hurt) but it is hard to rotate to the front.
Avatar f tn Four weeks ago a can of hot dogs fell on my foot from the kitchen work surface. It hurt at the time and some swelling and bruising occurred. I didn't think I'd broken it and tried to carry on as normal. After a couple of days the pain subsided, just kept bothering me on and off for the next few days. After wearing some 3 inch heels for a day the pain started up again. I then went on holiday for two weeks - the pain was awful whilst I was away, particularly if I walked in bare feet.
Avatar f tn im sure your msin priority is your baby at this point...you should be able to work in a safe environment so i say go for it..
Avatar m tn I have been playing football for 3 years now and no serious injuries in the past two. A few days ago i started getting a pain on my left foot about 2-3 inches above the big toe. It hurts the most when I walk up stairs or walk in general. When playing football i dont feel any pain what so ever because my mind is focused on the game. I am a Defensive linemen and i am 6'5" 290 lbs if that helps. There is no bruising or swelling. Please help me!
Avatar m tn I am 34 year old female with chronic bilateral ankle pain. The pain in my right foot is terrible..my ankle aches all the time, my left foot is bearable. I can't wear shoes other than sneakers, and even wearing sneakers my foot aches. I was diagnosed with sinus tarsi syndrome. Originally in May 2015, I had grade 2 ankle sprain of ATFL ligament and bone edema in calcaneus...this was after completing exercise program T25 and running.
Avatar n tn or rehabilitations that I can do at home that might help me improve the healing process of my knee so that I can return to work? My regular doctor has been no help with this matter except to prescribe Motrin for pain/swelling and to say 'stay off of your leg as much as possible'. I read that it could take a year to heal but does that mean that I need to be out of work that long? Also, my car is a stick shift/standard, how much time after an ACL tear can I try to drive again.
Avatar f tn He told me to take Advil twice a day and stretch and ice my foot again! He did not seem worked up at all by the marrow edema. He said that it is just fatty edema and that some people just have it! It was not on the first MRI. He also suggested that I do PRP, which is not covered by insurance but might help. I have now gone through all of this and I am in the same amount of pain if not more and I am so frustrated!
