Avatar f tn I'm 31+3 wks and I've been getting these bad leg cramps. I have tried everything from elevating my legs, warm baths, heating pads, but nothing seems to work. If anybody is experiencing these pains can you please give me advice on what to do I'm starting not to sleep at night.
Avatar f tn So, when I started getting cramps I thought it was just from sitting down all day. I started exercising when I got home, just to try and counteract the lack of activity. It didn't help at all. They start, and hurt the most, behind my knees and spread up and down. I've started getting tingling in my feet and a sort of pulsing in my thigh. It's kind of freaking me out. I know my diet isn't what it should be, so deficiencies could be a problem, but I'm just not convinced.
Avatar f tn Is anyone experiencing foot cramps? My left foot keeps cramping and it hurts for days at a time. Anything to releive the pain?? Thanks in advance!
Avatar f tn my husbands foot always cramps up after we have sex....is there a way to stop this....send me a private messege......
Avatar m tn I've been having constant foot cramps. Podiatrist recommended some stretches and stuff, but also suggested a thyroid test. FT3 is 3.22 (2.57-4.43) FT4 is 1.17 (0.64-1.77) TSH is 4.24 (0.27-4.2) Anti-Tg is 41.14 (1000 (<5.61) So the TSH is just a hair too high, but the anti-TPO is off the chart. Is there a thyroid problem or not? What does this mean? I've got an appointment with an endocrinologist, but I just want to get ahead of the game.
1388357 tn?1280189493 Hi...I still get the vibration and cramps in my foot...it always seemed to happen when I changed my shoes...one style to another..... I am still having this issue...tho not like b4 as that is the case with many of my symptoms...but I had a month or more of the vibrating, now I have had a few nights of cramps in the arch of my feet. My hands tend to cramp when I hold something too long.....
Avatar f tn Placing insoles or other supports in your shoes can offer support for your arches, decreasing fatigue. If you continue to experience foot cramps while exercising, despite taking measures to prevent them, consult a doctor. Discuss any medications you are taking to ensure that cramping is not a side effect.
Avatar f tn Tomorrow I will be 5 weeks into my first pregnancy! I used to go to the gym/run/bike ride almost everyday before I found out. I did a little bit of research on a bodybuilding website which stated it's still ok to exercise however very lightly. I'm wondering if this is a wise choice? I've been to the gym this past week a couple times to do cycling and used the machines to lift very little to no weight. I've been cramping like crazy.
Avatar f tn Rest cramps: Cramps at rest are very common, especially in older adults, but may be experienced at any age, including childhood. Rest cramps often occur during the night. While not life-threatening, night cramps (commonly known as nocturnal cramps) can be painful, disruptive of sleep, and they can recur frequently (that is, many times a night, and/or many nights each week). The actual cause of night cramps is unknown.
Avatar f tn I get foot cramps when I lye down and when I drive. I soon as my feet don't touch the ground they curl and hurt a lot. Anybody with that ? please help.
Avatar f tn Doing this over the last several months, I have returned to being able to take the stairs slowly foot over foot. All of last year it was one foot only all the way up and all the way down. I have started an exercise where I lift my foot just 4 inches to a low platform, repetitively. I am just about ready to start doing it with a small weight on the ankle. Some days though, my foot won't make it to the top of the first stair at all.
Avatar n tn Yes, this is normal. As your uterus grows to accommodate your growing baby, it will contract and stretch, or "cramp". Increasing your water intake to stay hydrated and exercising can both help alleviate these pains. Tylenol can also help. If you're concerned about them, bring them up at your next doctors appointment or call and speak to one of the staff nurses.
Avatar f tn Does anybody else get those crazy calf cramps that tighten up like crazy? And it just hurts sooo bad. Ughhh !!!
Avatar f tn When it starts, press your foot against the wall or bed or something. Anything to make your foot flat. I couldn't stand up with mine, they were bad. But making your foot flat will relieve it QUICK.
Avatar f tn You need to slow down the pace of exercising. As of now you need to apply ice, rest the sore foot, and take a pain killer like Aleve that you are planning. Also, if your walking shoes are not right for you then this will also cause frictional injury and pain. So see if you need to give extra padding or change your foot wear.
Avatar m tn I am having constant foot cramps. Do you have any ideas on what might be causing this?
Avatar f tn Hi all, In the past 2 days I have experiences the most painful and uncomfortable cramps in the bottom of my foot, my toes are curling up and are stiff. They are coming about 4 times per day and lasting 30-40 minutes of agony each time. Any ideas of what this is????
Avatar n tn something that helps me with really bad cramps is exercising, it may seem weird but it does work.
Avatar m tn I have been getting bad cramps that really feel like shooting pain down one vein in my arm, leg, and foot. Is this normal? Does anyone get something like that or just cramps in the arches of your feet? I also get cramps in my knee.
Avatar f tn Flatten your foot. When you feel it coming, place your foot flat against a wall, bed, or even in the air. Just make it flat like you're standing on it.
Avatar f tn Try eating a banana or two a day and drink a glass of water before bed. If it still happens lift your foot up so knee is in the air and foot is on the bed.
Avatar n tn I am not a doctor, but am a well-read type 1 diabetic, so please check out any information I give you with your own physician. I did some research on foot cramps and can tell you what I have found out. I do not know your age, but cramps in the feet while sleeping at night is apparently fairly common as people grow older. It is believed that this is sometimes caused by poor circulation in the feet, and is more common in diabetics than in other people.
