Foot bones structure

Common Questions and Answers about Foot bones structure

foot

Avatar n tn Hi, It probably appears like a strain of one of the ligaments of the foot. A ligament is a thick thread like structure that joins a bone to a bone. It can happen commonly and best treatment is a rest to the foot. You can also put your feet in a tub of warm water 2-3 times in a day and that will help. I think you can wait for 2-3 days and try it out and if it still does not get resolved, you can consult an orthopedic surgeon. I hope that helped. Please do keep me posted. Kind Regards.
Avatar f tn Mine do that! Even if I move my foot my hips crack and pop. It's normal. Mine started doing it at 22 weeks.
Avatar f tn It sounds like you may have either had a serious sprain or broken some of those tiny bones that are in the foot. You definitely should see your doctor and he will probably order an X-ray. That sounds painful. I twisted mine before by missing a step, and the hospital put on a cast and this relieved the pressure on my foot and made it feel a lot better. Mine was just a sprain.
Avatar n tn That being said, I took them for a very long time with no problem of bone problems and good blood tests. Also, I had a couple of operations that required bones being cut (foot surgery and open heart surgery) and both surgeons noted in my operative reports I had extremely dense bone structure. I exercise daily, both aerobic and weight training and suspect exercise trumps any damage drugs can cause, but keep in mind, this is just an opinion.
Avatar m tn I am frequently stuffy myself, and they said it was non-allergic vasomotor rhinitis. Also, I am pretty sure there are surgeries available for nasal bones. After all, if the nasal septum (divider between nostrils) can be surgically repaired, why not other bones? I would use tiger balm to clear a stuffy nose. Decongestants can give you rapid heartbeat and are as addictive as any other drugs, so try to only use those when you absolutely cannot breathe without them and tiger balm fails.
Avatar n tn Hi doc, I would be interested to find out weather I'm too heavy and why. The problems is that a friend of mine who is also a female, exactly the same hight and looking very similar to me (long hair, smaller bust) except that when you actually put us right next to each other I might look slightly skinnier yet she weights 10kgs less than me at 60kg.
Avatar f tn Putting any weight on an operated foot or ankle can do damage to the repair that’s been done. Bones need time to heal. Plates or screws that may have been added during surgery need the bones to heal around them. Adding weight too soon can interrupt this important internal healing process.
Avatar n tn I have no arch left as my bones have all collasped. I also get 3mthly cortizone shots into my broken bones to relieve the inflamation the best pain relief ever. Are you still getting any treatment??
Avatar f tn However, I do know that about 85% of all the phosphorus in the canine body (and human body too) is contained within the bone structure, so it makes sense to recognise that bones are high in this element. Of course, they are also high in calcium (depending on how much of the hard parts of a bone a dog actually consumes. Given these facts, it is probably wise to severely limit the amount of raw bones kd dogs have access to.

Avatar m tn I have a stinging sensation in my foot, i broke my ankle 3 months eairler and the day before it started i had been walking for a long time. The pain comes when i stand on it and it is on the sole of my foot and i want to know what has caused it and how can i stop it. Thank you.
Avatar f tn But even significantly depressed fractures in babies (under 1) will usually remodel and heal far closer to the original round shape of the skull than it might in an adult because the bones are young and soft and still growing, so as they grow they grow back closer to the right shape. For a depressed skull fracture to cause persistent neurological symptoms it would need to be very large and you would probably have had problems since the event.
Avatar f tn how can i get my foot to move like it used to before i broke it cause now its stiffened up so much that it hurts when i try popping any of the bones
Avatar f tn It feels like a bone is actually out of place or something and the support of my foot bones is missing. If I have actually put weight on the foot it will drop me. The pain is excruciating. I wiggle the foot around a little (ouch!) and then something clicks very lightly and the pain disappears almost instantly. I suspect it's something as minor as a tendon that has slipped out of its groove, but boy it hurts! I have had that thing happen for many years, long before the MS.
Avatar m tn Where the talus meets the bones of the foot, it forms the subtalar joint, which is important for walking on uneven ground. The talus is an important connector between the foot and the leg and body, helping to transfer weight and pressure forces across the ankle joint. Refer http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/topic.cfm?topic=A00170 Your surgeon must have decided bearing these facts in mind. Hope this is useful.
Avatar f tn I am hoping someone here can give hard evidence that a person cannot make their own nose bones bigger. my daughter is convinced that she has made her nose bigger by pressing on it. A little more detail: She has had severe pressure in her head and face for several months and started pushing on her nose bridge to help relieve the pressure. Now she feels she has pressed so hard that she has caused the bones in the bridge of her nose to protrude out on each side.
Avatar n tn For the last 6-8 weeks I have been having pain when I step on my feet in the morning, it feels like the bones in the top of my foot are pressing together, I generally goes away once I walk on it until I sit a while. Until later in the evening it beguins again. Lately though it feels like a nerve or something is being pinched in my shin and I have to take ibuprophen before going to bed so that it doesn't wake me.
Avatar n tn Sometimes it is best to take them to the doctor and get the proper wrap for the foot that will make it heal faster...with so many bones in the feet a micro fracture could take months to heal without proper attention. Let me know how he is....
Avatar n tn I just did a little searching and I'm thinking I have Extensor Tenosynovitis on my left foot. Its painful when I walk and I feel the pain on the top of my left foot and it also hurt whenever I lift my front foot up and it also hurts when I go down the stairs. Just a little medical background: I'm 35 years old, male, 5'10, 240 lbs, and I get gout attacks from time to time (1-3 times a year). This pain started a year ago after I had gout attack on my left foot.
Avatar m tn Yes, a lump on the scalp can be a part of the skull structure. Sometimes the skull bones have an exaggerated curvature or protuberance without any cause. Otherwise it can be an osteoma which is a bone tumor. If you hit your head somewhere long back, then this could be a localized tight hematoma. It can also be a localized collection of nerve and fibrous tissue called neurofibroma. It cannot be a lymph node as scalp does not have any.
Avatar f tn I cant seem to wear shoes that will snug around the top of my foot too much or my foot will come out alittle more swollen on top. I still have the bump but at the moment there isnt really any pain. I havent tried messing with it lately either.
