Avatar n tn I am only 40 but when I get up from a chair, walk or go up the stairs, I get pains in the top of my legs quite abit above the knee but below the thigh in both legs. I do suffer with plantar fasciatas (fallen arches). It feels like my bones are rubbing together and causing me pain. I'm wondering what it could be, and how I can prevent or treat it. I am open to any suggestions. Hope you can help me.
Avatar n tn Occasionally i get quick muscle contractions and relaxations under my skin on my foot. Sort of like heartbeats. No pain or anything and would go away after rubbing it. Is this something that i should be worried about?
672393 tn?1300744926 Sometimes when I lift my foot up it feels like something is rubbing on the side of my foot, kind of like bones rubbing. (Used to get that feeling in my right knee before I had surgery) I had to do some walking today and my ankle and foot are soooo sore..walking was horrible..i wish i knew what is going on with my foot Maybe someone here could shed me some insight.
Avatar n tn It burned like fire and felt like my bones were breaking. Nothing helped. I tried standing on it with pressure, rubbing it, flexing it. The pain was unberable. I was about to wake my husband to take me to the the hospital when the pain suddenly started to become milder. This happened several more times during the night. Then several nights in a row. Then it started happening to my other foot.
1047946 tn?1332608029 The easiest way to explain it is that it feel like 2 of my vertebrates are rubbing or crushing together. It is painful and also very odd feeling. I was just wondering if anyone has ever felt this feeling and if you have found anything out about it. I have a appointment with the pain clinic where I will be seeing a neurosurgeon so I want to be able to be a little bit ahead of the game by doing my research before hand. When I had my surgery they did not do a fusion.
Avatar n tn For the last 6-8 weeks I have been having pain when I step on my feet in the morning, it feels like the bones in the top of my foot are pressing together, I generally goes away once I walk on it until I sit a while. Until later in the evening it beguins again. Lately though it feels like a nerve or something is being pinched in my shin and I have to take ibuprophen before going to bed so that it doesn't wake me.

Avatar f tn Foot pain can have many causes. I have hammer toes on both feet and bones that are pushing together and inflaming nerves. In my case it's because of RA, but my podiatrist said he sees patients with similar symptoms that are caused by things like obesity and, yes, bad shoes. He created custom molds for my feet so I'll have inserts in my shoes to relieve the pain.
192055 tn?1263555537 My physical therapist thinks that it could be my bones rubbing together... either over the years of constant dislocation or the doc cut my bone too sharp- sounds like the disk between my two bones have deteriorated. Overall, I wish I didn't have the surgery. I still have neck pain... sometimes worse than before since I have my thin neck muscle holding my joint together which is painful sometimes. Yes, it is a stable joint but I still have pain and just a big scar.
Avatar f tn Today I started getting extremely bad pelvic pressure like the bones are rubbing together its going to my hips and tailbone as well anyone know of a way to relieve it?
Avatar f tn I saw my ankle surgeon a couple of weeks ago and I had just found out that I have a bone spur on the top of my right foot (the same foot and ankle that I had surgery on in April 2008). He told me to do some ankle exercises to relieve some of the pain. He didn't do anything with the bone spur yet. I go see him again October 15. My question is: Will the ankle exercises help the bone spur disappear or will I need to get surgery to remove the bone spur?
1558461 tn?1295392601 could simply be the muscles and ligaments of those stressed joints yelling in protest. Or causing other bones to rub together differently and thus cause joint inflammation. Have you been seen for the chronic pain in your toe? It sounds like you need to get to the root cause.
Avatar f tn The foot and ankle are made up of many small bones. In between these bones, like any other joint like your knee or hip, there are small pads of cartilage that cushion the space between them. Over time, these pads can wear away (osteoarthritis), and when the bones grind together it causes pain. I'm not saying this is what's happening, but it's one possible cause.
Avatar f tn Yes! & braxton hicks are evn more painful. Its so funny because with my first felt none of these feelings lol.
Avatar f tn However, if your plantar fascia and other ligaments are weak or injured then pads of fat can slip out and cause lumps. The bones held together by these ligaments may slip from place and cause a lump which looks like hernia. You need to ask your doctor for a MRI. Usually this will be treated conservatively with a cast followed by physiotherapy but you need a definitive diagnosis before treatment is started as the treatment may vary with the type of injury. Hope this helps. Take care!
Avatar n tn I SUFFER WITH CRPS POST FOOT SURGERY. MY FOOT HAS ATROPHIED. THE BONES IN MY TOES ARE FUSED TOGETHER. BURNING HORRIBLE. I GET KETAMINE INFUSION EVERY 2 MONTHS FOR TWO THREE HOUR SESSIONS. Avatar f tn Mine do that! Even if I move my foot my hips crack and pop. It's normal. Mine started doing it at 22 weeks.
Avatar f tn I had surgery in 2005 and stayed with pins or metal to rejoin the 2 bones together. The surgeons had to operate and take a small piece of bone from my right hip and placed it between the 2 bones in my right foot to try and rejoin them. Unfortunately I continued to have pain until it eventually became really difficult for me to walk even 100 meters. I went back to the hospital where a scan and X-rays were done.
Avatar f tn Several weeks ago I fell at work and injured my left knee. I had an X-ray that showed no broken bones and an MRI that showed no tears, but I keep telling the ortho pedic surgeon that I feel something move in my knee, not sure if it's the bone at the top or something else, but I feel it really move when I kneel down. He says it's 2 muscles rubbing together from inflammation and prescribed me meloxicam, but it doesn't feel like that. It feels like something is moving when I kneel.
Avatar f tn HIV is spread in really specific ways that include having unprotected vagina or anal intercourse or sharing IV needles to inject drugs. Penises rubbing together is not a risk. Air inactivates the virus.
Avatar f tn s gonna pop out any moment it hurts so much and when I try switching sides it seems impossible because when I move it hurts and it feels like my bones or something is rubbing together!!
Avatar n tn With fractured elbow and had operation - now with metal wire holding bones together. But after 6 weeka excess hair was growing in the damaged area. I am under physio at present. Avatar f tn im not sure if its from the pelvic bones rubbing together(which usually pops) or if its from him being on a nerve.. its not just one foot its both:( I go to the dr tomoro and im hoping to get some good answers from him...
2131661 tn?1340229152 Theories on this seem to range from the amnion and the chorion rubbing together, to the baby's hips or shoulders popping. Nobody seems to know, including doctors.
