Avatar n tn Psoriatic arthritis is a type of autoimmune arthritis that can be found in people with psoriasis. Not everyone with psoriasis will develop the disorder however.
Avatar f tn Tendonitis is another possibility. Foot infection, gout, rheumatoid arthritis are the other possibilities. It can also be ligament injury. You may need a MRI of the foot and ankle. Meanwhile, rest your feet by keeping them elevated on a cushion or stool. Apply ice pack. Take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory such as Tylenol, Aleve or Mobic. Hope this helps. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.
Avatar n tn So when I went to the podiatrist recently, I asked him about it and he said it was arthritis. Arthritis? When I asked him what is arthritis (he offered no help for it, by the way), he practically yelled at me (first time I went to him) and loudly said, "Inflammation!" And then he proceeded to cut my toenails. Anyway, I stopped him from continuing working on me, and said I don't want him to continue. He said why. And I said because I don't like his attitude.
Avatar n tn I just did a little searching and I'm thinking I have Extensor Tenosynovitis on my left foot. Its painful when I walk and I feel the pain on the top of my left foot and it also hurt whenever I lift my front foot up and it also hurts when I go down the stairs. Just a little medical background: I'm 35 years old, male, 5'10, 240 lbs, and I get gout attacks from time to time (1-3 times a year). This pain started a year ago after I had gout attack on my left foot.
Avatar f tn The foot and ankle are made up of many small bones. In between these bones, like any other joint like your knee or hip, there are small pads of cartilage that cushion the space between them. Over time, these pads can wear away (osteoarthritis), and when the bones grind together it causes pain. I'm not saying this is what's happening, but it's one possible cause.
657653 tn?1224680706 Movement then causes the bones to rub against each other, which is painful. Degenerative arthritis is characterized by inflammation, breakdown and eventual loss of the cartilage of the joints. This can be caused by obesity, bad posture, repeated trauma or injury, and overuse. In some cases, degenerative arthritis may be hereditary.
4235497 tn?1356982472 I struggle with arthritis especially when the weather is changing but my wrists and hips are getting bad. They feel achy and stiff. Does anyone else have issues with aching bones?
775302 tn?1253100505 What kind of pain are you experiencing in your foot? Is it on the skin or up in your foot? Is the pain constant or is there a trigger? Is it possible that this is not psoriasis? How are you treating it? Does anything help? Honestly, when I first read this over, I did not clue in on the plaques on your feet and thought immediately of plantar fasciitis which caused a stabbing, burning sensation in the arches of my feet. It sounds like you may have something more going on here, though.

Avatar m tn Last year I got septic arthritis in my left knee. Had 10 bouts of surgery on my knee to washout the knee. I still get alot of pain in my knee. I had had a recent MRI which no one can explain to me satisfactorely. Hope you can be of help. The MRI states: "Severe degeneration of the medial and lateral menisci noted with fraying of the articular surface and inner free edge of the menisci. No ligament injury is seen.
Avatar f tn It started to hurt every time I would walk long distances and would feel like I had my socks bunched up under my toes. It graduated to constant ball of foot pain with numbness in the ball of foot and toes with tenderness between the metatarsal bones on both feet. Has anyone ever had this or currently has the same symptoms? I have been to my GP who thinks it is a foot issue. I have an appointment with an Orthopedic, but could not get an appointment until April.
Avatar f tn Since there is swelling on one side this could be due to ligament tear or bony spur. Impingement of the ankle joint between the bones of ankle and foot is another possibility. Osteoarthritis, gout and rheumatoid arthritis are the other possibilities. Bursitis can give a sudden onset pain. Dislocation or rupture of a tendon can also cause shooting pain.
Avatar f tn You probably have a bone spur (Arthritis) pressing on one of the nerves that supply and travel through the hip and down the leg.
Avatar f tn Foot nodules could be a symptom of RA, which a lot of the time (the foot in general)is overlooked by most rheumatologists. The areas where they develop, are linked to high pressure and stress on joints, so it could be a result of the body attempting to alleviate this. Are these nodules painful? Are they hard? It seems that, these are usually dormant for many years and all of sudden they simply come out w/o any known reason (idiopathic). Another possibility is plantar fibromas.
Avatar f tn Mine do that! Even if I move my foot my hips crack and pop. It's normal. Mine started doing it at 22 weeks.

Avatar n tn I did have an x--ray and I went to the chiropractor. Everyone seems to think I pulled a muscle. However, arthritis has come up before. I had pain in my foot and it was due to arthritis. What can be done for arthritis? I am overweight and I know that does not help. I diet but it seems I never lose weight. My doctor gave me diet pills but I was afraid that was what caused the back pain.
