But the baby had the legs and feet curled up in between so it could have been the leg or foot bone. I honestly think it looked like a foot bone. I looked up pics of the girl anatomy and none of the pics I seen looked anything like what she showed us. Have you undergone any recent surgery on the right leg, ankle or the foot? Is there any history of varicose veins or defective valves in the leg veins? I hope you are not taking any hormone like estrogens, perimenopausal? This needs urgent attention by a surgeon. Have you been checked for diabetes? It could be an abscess needing urgent drainage. You must go to the emergency room and an urgent x ray done to check for any ankle fracture.
Yes this is normal, as the cast compressed your arteries and your superficial veins. The veins pumping out the blood to the heart against the gravity from feet is very difficult. So after removing the cast it takes some time in restoring of superficial circulation in the foot.
But if it does not decrease then you may have some infection or allergy, for which you have to visit a skin specialist.

I have CAD with a stent placed last year. I also have PAD with cold extremities and numbness in one arm and both feet. My left inside foot had discoloration. In the morning after a night's sleep it is red, but by evening it is almost black. What causes the change in color and is it dangerous?
The toes on my right foot turn really,really red and the veins in that foot stand up really badly and my foot feels swollen. This started about two months ago. The onset was very sudden and painful. This may be lengthy but I'll try and explain;

The most common causes of edema only in one foot are varicose veins and thrombophlebitis (inflammation of the veins) of the deep veins of the legs. These conditions can cause improper pumping of the blood by the veins and venous stasis. Hence when you walk the circulation is more and hence more pooling. This can be diagnosed by color dopplar or an angiogram. Do consult a vascular surgeon for this.

I have numerous sclerotic veins. First MRI showed three, then a new one said several new ones in the frontal lobe. My Neurologist does not say that I have MS for a lack of symptoms. Today I gave up after just three hours of tossing and realized that only my Right foot was cold. I have back problems so maybe it's associated with that.

I have recently gone through a separation which has hit me really hard and my anxiety levels are really high still after 7 months, symptoms are churning stomach loss of interest but the one that is really getting me is my veins in my arms and legs really pump up and get quite uncomfortable and it coincides with my feeling of anxiety.

You may have incompetant veins in the foot that prevent the fluids from pushing back up to the heart. I would get the leg dopplered to rule out a clot. If you had congestive heart failure or COPD (lung disease), you would have swelling in both legs.
If you do have incompetant veins, a pair of compression stockings will help.
Go to your local pharmacy or medical supply store to get: knee high compression stockings with a gradient of 10-20 mmHG of compression.
weeks They check the spine, heart, kidney, bladder, take measurement of babys size such as skull and I think they do crown to heel measurements rather than crown to rump. Also check foot for Club foot and measure femur bone. They do do a lot of checking but dont worry its precautionary for the most part. Theu do watch the heart beat and examine of course to make sure all os developing correctly. Its actually neat to see the babys spine and heart etc. good luck!
I am now having issues with part of the bottom of my foot, including the ball of my foot and all my toes except the last three. When I move my foot, it feels like it has been asleep with the tingling, like pins and needles, and I cant go without shoes on that foot, I cant wear sandals, and when I do try to go without shoes on, the heal of my foot feels like the bone is going thru my foot. When I relax of an evening, my foot has like muscle spasms.
