Avatar f tn Can't help but feel anxious today. I have 20weeks officially and getting my anatomy scan. I'm just so excited d to see my little baby but nervous. I just hope to god it is healthy and everything is ok. However, I'm not finding out about the sex because I'm having a gender reveal party on Sunday. Its going to drive me crazy! Lol.
Avatar f tn I am now having issues with part of the bottom of my foot, including the ball of my foot and all my toes except the last three. When I move my foot, it feels like it has been asleep with the tingling, like pins and needles, and I cant go without shoes on that foot, I cant wear sandals, and when I do try to go without shoes on, the heal of my foot feels like the bone is going thru my foot. When I relax of an evening, my foot has like muscle spasms.
1147125 tn?1265114765 it will give you all of the muscles in the leg connected to the nerves from your S-1. Click on each one od them to see a picture from Grays Anatomy and an explanation. You can also enter "Lumbar" and specifics will come up such as "L-5" it will explain again all of the muscles affected by the pressure on your nerve in the spine.
Avatar f tn But the baby had the legs and feet curled up in between so it could have been the leg or foot bone. I honestly think it looked like a foot bone. I looked up pics of the girl anatomy and none of the pics I seen looked anything like what she showed us. Idk she's the tech I guess but now I gotta wait and see if my doctor will want to take out the ultrasound machine at my next appointment and see if she can get our little love to open his/her legs.
209987 tn?1451935465 The numbness is sure due to nerve compression and as the anatomy of your foot has changed with the injury. Continue your physiotherapy and you will be fine as your sensations will return back with time. Take care!
999891 tn?1407276076 I was Diagnosed as having trapped nerves in both my hands and right foot, this followed a nerve conduction Study a few weeks ago. I was wondering if others out there have had this happen, if it is a Chiari/syringomyelia issue.
Avatar f tn I am 23 years old and have asked in my age group to talk with someone else whos baby has been diagnosed with club foot, but no luck. Just wondering if anyone here is going through what I am?
Avatar f tn I started getting a sensation like someone was blowing hot air through my shirt onto my stomach every few seconds which progressed into my left leg and foot going numb ,tingling and burning, shooting pains throughout my leg and to my foot . I have spasms and my foot began to drag . I couldn’t lift it to take a step it was like walking on a foot that’s asleep. I was finally diagnosed a year or so later with peripheral neuropathy and they started me on 4 600 mg gabapentin a day.
Avatar f tn weeks They check the spine, heart, kidney, bladder, take measurement of babys size such as skull and I think they do crown to heel measurements rather than crown to rump. Also check foot for Club foot and measure femur bone. They do do a lot of checking but dont worry its precautionary for the most part. Theu do watch the heart beat and examine of course to make sure all os developing correctly. Its actually neat to see the babys spine and heart etc. good luck!
Avatar m tn I sometime feel pain in the nerves of the foot (where boot lace is present), sometimes in the hand (back side where nerves can be seen) and sometimes in the back side of the leg. The pain is sweet pain and lasts for 1-2 seconds and disappears. When I seat in chair, sometimes I feel pain and it forces me to come out of seat or put my legs inside my buttocks to continue. It happens only sometimes and disappears in 1-2 mins.
Avatar f tn The axilla is not unique when it comes to nerves but each persons anatomy and results may be a bit different. There are some important nerves that travel through the axilla and care is taken to avoid damage to these nerves but there are sometimes superficial nerves that are damaged without the surgeon even being aware that they are there. Sentinel lymph node biopsy is actually a low risk procedure with regard to nerve damage. Nerve damage is not “common” at all.
Avatar f tn Your whole body is supported by your foot and something wrong in the anatomy of bones and alignment of the arch and compressing your peripheral nerves causes this excruciating pain. Take care and visit a good orthopaedician!
739070 tn?1338603402 Paresthesias indicate that something is wrong with the nerves... which means that everything attached to the nerves will also experience problems. Sometimes the damage continues, and you'll end up with weakness in one or more muscle group attached to that group of nerves. Sometimes the damage stops, and things heal up. There's really no way to predict which way it's gonna go!
Avatar n tn I had an intial injury to my right foot in April 2010. The injury was sudden and not the product of a determined source (i.e. impact, rolling, twisting). The lateral side of my foot near the 5th metatarsophalangeal joint swelled and bruised immediately. I was unable to seek medical treatment at that time so I rested my foot for 2-3 weeks and the pain dissipated and I was able to return to my usual routine.
Avatar f tn I ll be having my anatomy scan on Wednesday .I am really scared.Guyz could you help with the questions I should ask my Dr. During the scan And afterwards .Thanks...
Avatar n tn You are correct that foot infections can be a problem for diabetics. So don't apologize, for your question is a smart one... and yes, DO watch it carefully and clean it. You also might want to avoid wearing socks or shoes on that foot (slippers will keep the wound free of other contact) so as to avoid contact between the infected area and anything that might contain other bacteria. Do go to see your doctor soon, just to be safe.
Avatar f tn Maybe it's the approaching anatomy scan but I've all of a sudden become very anxious and stressed about the possibilities of birth abnormalities even low my chances scientifically are very low (less than .05%). Is this normal? I feel like I'm more stressed about it than I should be.
Avatar n tn I had surgery about 15 years ago for a prolapsed disc,I completely damaged my sciatic nerve. I have had a drop foot ever since. Does anyone know if there have been any new ideas on how to help this.
Avatar f tn I had a foot operation 5 weeks ago, now my foot feels like it is on fire. what can this be? should I go to the emergency room?
215164 tn?1269466240 Does anyone know what an abnormal nerve conduction study mean? Results were several conduction blocks in the lower leg and foot (I'm developing drop foot I think) and slowing of the velocity in upper and lower extremities. Anyone know what I *could* be looking at here?
Avatar f tn My taller baby would do that to me. It always felt like she was doing yoga in there. when I went in for anatomy scan she was sucking her toes. It's probably just baby's foot.
Avatar m tn I am having all sorts of pain in my foot and leg and can't seem to get a diagnosis. So far, I've seen two podiatrists, neurologst, PCP, and will see an orthopedic surgeon in about a month. Last year I rolled over my big toe with a pallet jack that had a pallet on it at an old job. Well at the time it didn't break my foot or cause any bruising or any type of problem that required medical attention so I let it go.
Avatar f tn It could be related to neuropathy. Are you a diabetic? Either way, it can be caused due to nerves in your foot or leg causing you to feel this way. You should see a doctor to make sure that it is not a more serious condition.
Avatar f tn The other day I had a slight pain in my right foot. Like I pulled a muscle or something other. Last night it hurt worse. Hurt to step on it and hurt to put my shoes on. Tonight, it's so intense I want to cry. If I lift my foot up. Move my toes. Step on it. Anything it's terrible. I didn't do anything to my foot. No injuries or trama to it. I do however have server anxiety. And don't know if I should just rest it up, or rush to the doctor. -.
Avatar f tn Well, assuming you have a bulging disk in your upper back or neck area, yes, your arm could indeed be bothering you from that! A disk will bulge outward and there are a bunch of nerves that come out from the spinal cord and go to other parts of the body, and any of that can be pushed on and will cause a distal part of the body to hurt.
147426 tn?1317265632 t often think about is that the spinal CORD has the nerves that go out to the entire body within it, even though it is short. The top part of the cord has the cervical section, the middle the thoracic nerves and the bottom of the cord actually does have white matter in it that sends out the nerves that travel down the rest of the canal before they exit through the holes in the bony lumbar spine and the bony sacral spine.
Avatar f tn Good morning. I have had foot pain in my right foot on and off since February of 2008. When I stopped running for three months my pain disappeared but it reappeared in February of 2009. I have since had it since then and am now starting to have pain in my left foot.
