Avatar m tn t grow back, he will give me steroid injections. Should I get those injections? What could be the side effects? Can this spread to scalp as well? As Maatson would know, I tried applying fluticasone on my white spot (IGH) and I had hypopigmentation. Is it really alopecia areata or should I seek a second opinion? If it is alopecia areata, what must I do to help myself? I read somewhere that it is related to vitiligo. Could my IGH spots be vitiligo, as I have alopecia areata too, now?

Take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin and apply some calamine lotion on the rash. If the symptoms persist then please get it examined from a dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor.

Or are some of the side effects okay with you now that your anxiety is much better? What does your prescribing doctor say about this? Avatar m tn A year or so ago I finally went to an ENT, she said I had alergic rhinitis and prescribed fluticasone. 6 months later I went back because I still had constant congestion and usually a sore throat. I think the fluticasone made it a little bit better. Hard to tell. She gave me cetirizine (Zyrtec) in addition to the Fluticasone. Together they help a little, but they also make me sleepy all the time, and I still have congestion all the time.
