Avatar n tn About a week ago the allergies and sinuses really got a hold of me and i had horrible sinus pressure, felt really spacey, had ear fullness and pain, felt a little off but no ear infection. I got put on a antibiotic. I then just started the Flonase back up. One day i felt short of breath off and on. I also took a Zyrtec. I almost went to the hospital because i felt bad and felt like my allergies/ sinuses were causing it. I also have anxiety.
Avatar m tn Every day both my ears get a lot of pressure in them it gradually starts and get's worse as the day goes then let's up late in the evening. I've tried decongestants and nasal sprays with no relief any ideas what's causing this and how to get rid of it.
Avatar f tn So, this ear fullness and dizziness could be your inner ear (where no q tip can or should go). I had this and they said it may have started for me with a virus. Anyway, what helped was a ear nose and throat doctor recommending backward ear popping. Hold nose, blow out and your ears will pop. I had eustacian tube dysfunction and this helped the situation. I did the reverse popping often. See if that works at all for you.
Avatar n tn What happens is that the inflamed inner ear sends confusing signals to the brain, and your balance will be so thrown off that you will think you are very drunk. The world spins around you and then you begin to vomit. The worst is the first day, then as your inner ear heals up, your brain will actually adapt to the new signals and eventually over many days you will return to normal. Ear ringing pretty much precedes the actual vertigo (spinning sensation).
Avatar n tn He told me to take Claritin D and he prescribed Flonase. I started taking/using both, and the pressure eased up a little bit, but it was still there. At that time, I was also experiencing some sinus pressure. That seems to have lessened. Fast forward to now - I went to the doctor because my neck was swollen on the left side and I could feel a large lump. She kind of brushed it off, but I asked for an ultrasound, which showed that I have 3 "cystic nodules" in the submandibular region.
Avatar m tn Unfortunately since you exposed yourself to loud music, and caused damage to your ear, the rining is most likely permanent and unrelated to your other symptoms. It can be affected by the other symptoms in small ways. I know my ringing is "quieter" when my ears are more congested. I will say that my ENT is baffled by the ringing in my ears since I have no hearing loss at all and he says that the ETD should not cause the ringing.
Avatar m tn s who diagnosis is a dysfunctional eustacheun tubes and have prescrbed antibiotics, decongestives, Flonase steriod nose spray, and decongestive pills without any help. Anyone out there have a similar experience and possibly a cure?
345124 tn?1234483278 ve been on Claritin and flonase and still feel dizzy with pressure only in my left ear. I get dizzy then anxious . I even went on prize c to help but I went off after 3 days bc of the mood swings. So glad to hear I'm not crazy and others feel the exact same way as me. I got back to ent next Thursday for revaluation bc I think spring allergies are kicking in line crazy now. Everytime I get anxious my ear feels fuller. Making me crazy!!
Avatar n tn Bloody nose (consistent discharge of blood when blowing after a shower, ear and sinus pressure build, "medicine head" feeling comes on, dizziness appears a few days later along with consistent pressure in the head, feeling of drainage in the throat (pressure is still there during all this) pressure can't be cleared either using the Valsalva method or really anything, pressure starts to go away, a massive headache ensues for another few days and then all is well.
Avatar f tn I rarely have minimal pressure / pain intermittently to my left ear. I did have a whiplash injury a about 6 months ago, and work on a computer all day so I frequently get neck pain, went for a massage yesterday and have been to chiropractor with relief of neck pains, but nothing else. I have also taken muscle relaxant hoping it was coming from my neck l, with no relief. I have no dizziness. Anyone any idea?? Please help this is so frustrating ...
Avatar m tn ll give you whatever medication to help and try to keep your cat away from where you sleep in the meantime. I have a dog and I know that's hard but that is supposed to be helpful. Good luck!
Avatar m tn I'm 22 male, active and have real high Bp (i guess heriditary) but I'm hoping to get this under control soon with my meds(hydrochloric thiazides, amlodipine) but this started before treatment ... I've had pressure above my nose for over a month now and a weird feeling in the back of my head (spaced out/dizzy kinda feeling) its stronger sometimes then others but is constantly around I recently had a brain/head ct scan and they said all was normal...
Avatar f tn I was using it for my allergies my sinuses were so congested it was making my teeth and face hurt so bad and giving me a clogged ear with an ear ache. It did seem to help some but now she wants me to not use it for a couple of weeks to see if that was causing my nose irriation she said some people have that problem from using this product. So if it was the problem not sure what they will use for my allergies. It's always something lol.
Avatar f tn I've never had allergies of any kind. Then I noticed my nose was runny sometimes. Sneezing some. Nothing alarming. Then I woke up and was having trouble swallowing - felt like something was stuck in my throat. Doc said there was tons of drainage - the diagnosis: allergies. I started zyrtec and flonase, and got a HEPA air purifier. I've had that for about 2 weeks. Annnd now I've developed ear infections in BOTH ears due to the allergies, even taking all that and with the filter.
Avatar m tn I've had an upper respiratory infection for about a week. Went to the doctor this morning with severe ear pain, no infection, just inflammation due to the other infection. Was recommended Flonase, rest, and fluids. After I came home and took the Flonase I've had this really weird fizzing sensation off and on at the back of my throat all day. It feels like a handful of poprocks are at the top of my throat/back of my mouth. It's a really weird suggestion.
Avatar f tn I was sent to a ear specialist as my right ear hurt so bad - found out it was my sinuses putting pressure on my ear drum - was put on an old rx of drixoral but could literally feel my sinuses shrink - I keep Halls cough drops in my pocket - during the summer I use flonase - but lately have just been using a saline drop - since I was in hospital with pneumonia I have a humidifier - Dr Oz showed the Neti??
Avatar m tn Hi, everyone! I'm a 33 year old female. When I was 16, I began experiencing dizzy spells and migraines. I had an MRI and was found to have white matter lesions. My neurologist shrugged it off, saying "migraine syndrome with aura," and m ENT said "probably BPPV." Since then, I've been able to control my symptoms with meclizine, high doses of ibuprofen, birth control (rule out hormonal migraines!) and, basically, a "positive state of mind.
Avatar f tn 5 weeks ago I had an all day coughing fit and with each cough felt more pressure building up in my right ear. Blowing my nose every 2 minutes of the day, pressure started in the left ear. One week went by, I finally went to the Dr. Diagnosed with a Sinus Infection, he gave me a round of antibiotics, 2 different RX nasal sprays, and hydrocodone cough syrup. While my sinus and chest congestion has subsided, the pressure in my ears have not.
867954 tn?1356900863 I've had chronic sinus infections pretty much for years. I got a new doctor lately, who is a lot faster at seeing me, etc. Anyway, long story short lately I hear at times a thumping noise in my right ear mainly, it's only happened in the left a handful of times. When it happens in the right, it usually goes on for 24 hours at a time, obviously annoying enough to cause me some loss of sleep, aggravation, etc.
Avatar m tn So the prednisone and flonase haven't done much to help so far. I know it's peak pollen and allergy season right now in the mid-atlantic but it makes me worry. Today has been worse than any day in the past few weeks.
Avatar f tn ENT said eustachian tube dysfunction due to allergies (tested positive for various inhalent allergies) and said to use Xyzal and Flonase. Xyzal made me too sleepy so stopped, and Flonase has done nothing. ENT said it would take Flonase a month to clear up the ETD. The constant ear popping wouldn't bother me if it weren't accompanied by the lightheadedness and brain fog, which sometimes by the end of the day turns into a very bad headache and then disappears.
Avatar f tn ) After couple days of fullness went to doctor and said I had a bad ear infection, and have been treated with amoxicillan for past 10 days. Now, I'm back to the more "normal" symptoms, along with some jaw soreness and soreness to pressure/touch inside the ear canal (outer canal only...not going into the ear canal) I am thinking that I only need to give it a few more days for everything to clear up, but am looking for any other advice or things I should be watching for?
Avatar n tn I started to think what could be making me feel this way and I started to do some research and came to the conclusion I should stop taking FLONASE. The very next day my heart was back to normal and my blood pressure started to look better and better. From now on I will only take Flonase if I really need it!
Avatar m tn t feel like it was helping, and if anything, I started to feel additional symptoms, such as ear fullness, pressure inside the ear, and tingling inside the ear too, in addition to the hissing/sea shell sound during night. I didn't want to go back to the same ENT for a follow up, given he hasn't resolved my issue, and it was just getting worse.
Avatar f tn It typically stops after 5 to 10 seconds of waking up. But I do feel a lot of pressure in head and nose off and on all day. Also when I tried to do the valsalva maneuver I can only get my right ear to pop but not my left. Thanks again for your time.
Avatar f tn This time, my symptoms were a slightly scratchy throat, a very dry throat, and most noticeable, a very bad breath. I purchased Flonase and started using it 4 days ago. I use it every night and my sickness has seemed to get better. However, the breath is still slightly there. Starting today, a ticklish feeing in the back of my Thais has appeared and I continue to get the urge of wanting to cough.
Avatar n tn ve been to 3 ENTS, as well as my primary care. Initially I was told there had probably been an ear infection and that several rounds of Flonase would empty out the remaining liquid, plus some antibiotics for good measure. After that did nothing it became "there is remaining swelling" from the liquid, and take more Flonase. After that did nothing a temporary tube was placed for a couple of months.
