flomax and finasteride

I had the same problem with Flomax and Rapaflo.and not being able to *** was not acceptable. Also surgery such as TURP willl do the same thing.

Saw my primary MD today. He said that the Flomax relaxes muscles in the bladder and prostate, and the Avodart shrinks the prostate. He said that after a year or so, if the prostate has gone down and reduced the problems, they like to eliminate the Flomax, as it is no longer necessary. Long story short, I now have a prescription for Avodart alone. I realize that it may not reduce the surgery risk, but one less drug is a good thing.

I was given cipro and Flomax for pelvic pain and a UTI. the pain was through the whole pelvis and also individual veins or spermatic cord. does Flomax permanently shrink your prostate or reduce testosterone levels? I stopped, and when the urinary issues seemed to be more problematic again, I returned to the added Flomax, and immediately discovered the same lack of semen and abdominal pain (during the 2 months not taking Flomax, ejaculatory function returned to normal). I have searched all over the web and several medical and medication reference books at the library and can find not a single place where it says that Finasteride has anything to do with the problem of blood in the semen. All I have read points to Finasteride lessening the symptoms of BPH, symptoms I do not have. Is blood in the semen one of the symptoms of BPH? t seem to be a great drug since it lowers blood pressure too much, I almost fainted on losartan and flomax. Is it true it permenently exhausts you and causes muscle weakness?

Finasteride is an underestimated and dangerous pill for hair loss. Its hard to stop it and not experience libido issues. You are lucky enough that you took it for so little time. There are other people taking it for years facing serious hormonal side effects. It will probably take as long as you took the tablets to feel like before. So a couple of months is a good projection as this pill changes hormonal balance in your blood and gene expression about androgen receptors.
