Flexeril vs robaxin

Common Questions and Answers about Flexeril vs robaxin

flexeril

Avatar m tn i think zanaflex may be the same as Robaxin......The robaxin worked great, but gave me such a bad rash.....I can't take it....unfortunately.......
Avatar n tn ve taken robaxin, soma, and flexeril and baclofen. the robaxin and baclofen were nothing regarding w/d. The soma I had alot of insomnia in the beginning and the robaxin I noticed no side effects either.
Avatar f tn I see a pain management doctor and have spinal injections every 12 weeks. I was prescribed Vicoden 10/325 for pain as well as flexeril and gabapentin. Neither the flexeril or the gabapentin seem to help with muscle tightness, spasms, or nerve pain. I am seeing my doctor again in two days and I wondered if any one could tell me of medications that have worked for you. I have a high tollerence to medication, most do not make me sleepy at all.
1069117 tn?1320276427 Im still hoping to have more improvement in the next few months The muscle spasms have been a big hassle for me (keep feeling like my muscles are getting caught on something and causes my head to jerk, have you had this?) but i was given Robaxin at first too which did nothing, I have since tried flexeril and zanaflex and I am now taking 4 mg of the zanaflex 3 times a day but i take 1 and 1/2 at night and that dosage works the best on the spasm but makes you very sleepy.
Avatar m tn My pain clinic is no longer writing for soma. I have had flexeril, robaxin, skelaxin before and they aren't as effective. What can I try?
Avatar f tn Can you tell me the best way to get off of the Norco, should I do it with Suboxone again or just taper with that-I also have some Robaxin and some Ativan-I like the Robaxin but I don't really like to take the Ativan-they are .5 mg.
Avatar f tn Day 4 is very close to the time that physical withdrawals generally start subsiding. Of course, this all depends upon your dosages. 30mg Roxy's are pretty powerful things, so it may linger a while. I'm gonna be honest here, I tried Flexeril during most all of my detoxes. They never seemed to help me at all. That being said, I'm pretty tolerant to muscle relaxers, so none of them did me very much good even when I was using. Try them before bedtime, they may help you to sleep.
Avatar m tn He put me on robaxin, 2 a day for six weeks, and said to come back in 6 weeks if it isnt better, well at first i thought it was helping, but it really isnt that much. Its only been 10 days, am i expecting too much ? Am i on the right path with this treatment ? Any suggestions ? ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY !! Best.
Avatar f tn Has anybody had any success with the drug Robaxin for migraines. I was just perscribed the medicine and I would like some feeback. I so hope it works. Migraines that last for days and days are debilitating.
Avatar n tn I swear by Flexeril! I have dealt with Chiari symptoms for over 20 years now and now if I take a Flexeril right when the headache starts to come on, I fall asleep and wake up as if I never had the headache. It is a miracle drug for Chiari headaches!!
372416 tn?1242665752 I believe the methocarbomol is robaxin.....one of the lesser problematic muscle relaxers available. Didnt work well enough for me....I use flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) now and its both a lttle more effective and hard to have an addiction problem with.
Avatar f tn Same thing with having a muscle relaxer to take as needed. Flexeril, Skelaxin, Robaxin, Baclofen, or Zanaflex. This is very useful for those times with bad muscle spasms... Again...an opiate does not target spasms. An opiate just makes our brain not "care" as much. And sure, it can be a small part of one's treatment...but it should never be the main part.
751951 tn?1406632863 d rather give up the benefit I sensed from the Flexeril, vs. that from the Amantadine. If I drop both, I might never have a clue which to avoid in the future, right? Plus, I'd likely be back to feeling as crummy as I felt six weeks ago. Does this make sense? After the past 36 hours, I'm a little less comfortable with my own thought process. What do y'all think?
1415174 tn?1453243103 I was taking flexeril for a while but not everyday. I mostly took it when I went to sleep to help me sleep better. When I stopped it, I did have trouble falling asleep but that's not out of the norm for me. I've never taken a muscle relaxer during the day because they just make me tired. I've taken soma and robaxin as well as flexeril and they all do the same thing. I've never had a problem stopping any of those and I've never tapered down.
Avatar f tn The migraines are frequent and the anxiety is daily and worsening. I also have fibromyalgia and am taking Lexapro 20mg, Flexeril 15mg, Robaxin 700mg (4 times a day). My phsychiatrist is starting me on Lamictal because she thinks I could have a type of bipolar disorder thats symptoms include anxiety and depression, not mania and depression. I have never heard of this type of bipolar disorder before and I can't find any info online when I look up bipolar disorder.
1274661 tn?1301868321 I was given the Chlorzoxaone (Muscle Relaxer) to try and ween me down from taking so much Excedrin (That is going to be tough!). I usually take Flexeril at night, so she wants me to switch to this other one for 5 - 10 days and then go back to the Flexeril. I am just always so leary of new meds as I usually experience side effects.
429432 tn?1343594190 I was prescribed Robaxin today because I might have pulled a muscle in my back or a pinched nerve or something, we won't know 'til the x-ray results come back. Is Robaxin addictive at all?
Avatar f tn I thankfully haven't had to deal with surgeons professionally (although I had one talk my ears off for half an hour while I was shadowing in a hospital and he would not. stop. talking. even though I was clearly uncomfortable). I had severe back pain (was around 7 or 8 for a while, then bouncing between 0-6 for a while after that) in the right thoracic area, near one of the rhomboids. They told me my problem is hypermobility, so they made me bulk up my shoulders in PT.
Avatar f tn i only take it and the robaxin at night. the robaxin only helps the pinched nerve i have in my upper back/shoulder area. it does nothing for my lower back. and thanks for all the responses. im new and really have no idea what im doing.
Avatar f tn I take a very low dose of flexeril at night (I cut the smallest available tabs in half), and I have robaxin for the day if I need it, which doesn't knock me flat. You might also want to consult with someone in physical medicine and rehabilitation or a pain specialist. They tend to be much more knowledgeable about the management of chronic pain and musculoskeletal injuries. Please let me know how things turn out, and feel free to PM me if you want to talk more about it.
Avatar f tn Robaxin, I use this on my horses for sore backs. Its a muscle relaxer and it was made for human consumption but over the years vets found it worked wonders for horses with sore backs or strained muscles.I have taken them a few times when I have had a muscle problem and they never made me high. Does he have a valid pain problem? Hope this helped.
217599 tn?1202850952 Does anyone know anything about the muscle relaxer, Robaxin? my dr. prescribed it for me, and like all others the dr's prescribe now, i like to ask in here if it has any addictive tendencies.
232328 tn?1207090071 Hi there. I was prescribed flexeril today for some back pain. Can anyone tell me exactly what it is? If it is addicting? Will it make me sleepy/hyper, etc?
Avatar m tn Does anyone know very much about Flexeril? I just received an call from someone that thinks they may have overdosed on it. He usually does not take it and took up to ten 10mg tablets today and feels somewhat out of it. 100mg in one shot shouldn't do too much should it? He is in No. CA and I'm in So. CA so I can't get to him. Should I be concerned about him not waking up? Apparently he took six of them yesterday and I read the half life is 1-3 days.
1415174 tn?1453243103 Hi again has anyone tried Flexeril (muscle relaxant)? Any bad side effects and did it help pain , I have I guess myofascial pain. Any trouble with withdrawal gettnig off of it?
