Flexeril vs naproxen

Common Questions and Answers about Flexeril vs naproxen

flexeril

Avatar n tn who prescribed Flexeril, Percocet and Naproxen. The Naproxen made him very sick as well as angry (the anger could also be from coming off of the Tramadol) so now he's taking Percocet and Flexeril. I used to be a Pharmacy Tech so I know the combination of all these drugs can be (or is) dangerous and initially (while on Tramadol) he didn't use the Percocet but I found out he was using the Flexeril with the Tramadol.
790137 tn?1318064425 I take naproxen twice a day as needed for the pain
Avatar f tn My son was in a car wreck early this am. He is pretty banged up and in quite a bit of pain- but ok considering that the driver lost control, hit a mailbox, took out a tree and ended upside a telephone pole. He has been on sub for about 80 days and has tapered down to.25 mgs. He had that dose for the last 5 days and .5 for five days before that. He told the EMT and the ER Docs his sub history.
Avatar n tn I swear by Flexeril! I have dealt with Chiari symptoms for over 20 years now and now if I take a Flexeril right when the headache starts to come on, I fall asleep and wake up as if I never had the headache. It is a miracle drug for Chiari headaches!!
751951 tn?1406632863 d rather give up the benefit I sensed from the Flexeril, vs. that from the Amantadine. If I drop both, I might never have a clue which to avoid in the future, right? Plus, I'd likely be back to feeling as crummy as I felt six weeks ago. Does this make sense? After the past 36 hours, I'm a little less comfortable with my own thought process. What do y'all think?
Business man2 mineral tablet (“A to Z” brand), - 1 raspberry keytone (sold by Walgreens), - 2 fish oil soft gels 1200mg (Walgreens brand) , - 2 ibuprofen (200mg each) usually, OR 2 acetaminophen (500mg each), OR 2 naproxen sodium (220mg each), OR 1 Rx meloxicam 15mg. (Pain killer taken for residual pain from knee being “scoped” 1/20/12) What is the doctor’s opinion?
551958 tn?1217450889 Motrin, Tylenol, Codine, Flexeril, Naproxen, Injections, ( all I see are Anti depressants, and sometimes the Mood would be better if the pain was gone. :) Or, maybe blank spaces that we could fill in with the Meds that are not on the list? I would like to be able to show my Doc. how I take my meds and how I feel each day, it would take up less of her time in the office if she could just check on me once in a while on here.: ) Just Ideas! Hope that it helps. Thanks for looking!
Avatar f tn I did a cortisone shot and it only lasted about 2 weeks. I still have to take 4-5 Goody extra strength powders a day, 2 naproxen 500, and 1 or 2 motrin 800 daily and ice/heat for any reflief. The only thing they prescribe is motrin and flexeril which doesnt help. Does this sound like instability, tendinosis, or bursitis?
Avatar n tn No constapation and been taking ibprofin for pain
Avatar m tn on day 10....today my doctor prescribed me Naproxen for my chronic back pain. I know I could search this, but would rather ask anyone with any experience with it's use. Good idea or not to use after 10 days clean. I dont even know if it's a "mild" narcotic or not, however I believe it's similar to Aleeve. Advice? thanks in advance.
1549643 tn?1495759353 I take flexeril and ultram, which works amazing on my thoracic area. Even the neck pain, went from 2 episodes a week to about 1 a month now. Sometimes I take naproxen as well. I have been taking Ambien when I am at the point of crying my eyes out and unable to deal with it. This has been going on for years. A normal for me is taking two. Wake up still in pain, two more. Last time this happened to me, that would not work.
Avatar f tn I just finished another round of physical therapy where I met all of my goals so I was discharged, but I my left leg still constantly aches. I have tried Ibuprofen and Naproxen and Flexeril (in case is was spasm related) but they don't seem to work. If only I had a live-in massage therapist. The pain runs up the ourside of my leg. It is most intense in my lower leg. Ankle and thigh. My doctor won't prescribe anything.
Avatar f tn About two months ago my neck started hurting horribly, I went to the doctor and he said it was torticolis from sleeping in a bad position for years (on my side with my face not touching the pillow) and was prescribed Medrol, Flexeril, and Naproxen and given steroid shots. After a week I felt back to normal and I thought I was completely ok, so I started doing my normal activities, but the next day after I went out and was normal, I woke up with lots of pain again.
232328 tn?1207090071 Hi there. I was prescribed flexeril today for some back pain. Can anyone tell me exactly what it is? If it is addicting? Will it make me sleepy/hyper, etc?
Avatar m tn Does anyone know very much about Flexeril? I just received an call from someone that thinks they may have overdosed on it. He usually does not take it and took up to ten 10mg tablets today and feels somewhat out of it. 100mg in one shot shouldn't do too much should it? He is in No. CA and I'm in So. CA so I can't get to him. Should I be concerned about him not waking up? Apparently he took six of them yesterday and I read the half life is 1-3 days.
1415174 tn?1453243103 Hi again has anyone tried Flexeril (muscle relaxant)? Any bad side effects and did it help pain , I have I guess myofascial pain. Any trouble with withdrawal gettnig off of it?
603946 tn?1333941839 NSAIDs reduce the effectiveness of platelets, so ibuprofen, aspirin, and naproxen are out. But acetaminophen has no effect on platelets, so I wonder why the warning?
Avatar f tn I did not have the classic popping/locking jaw. She gave me naproxen, flexeril, and xanax to hep with the symptoms. The headaches dulled a little but never fully went away. I stopped taking the flexeril after about a week because it was making me feel hungover in the morning. I would take the xanax only occasionally, and the naproxen twice a day. I was finally referred to a neurologist about three weeks ago and have had an MRI and an MRA, which both came back clear.
Avatar m tn v e tried regular otc meds like tylenol and Ibruprofen and in the past nsaids like Toradol and Naproxen. But they just dont seem to relieve the pain. Would you have any suggestions Dr J?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
149087 tn?1258453820 I have been on Baclofen for about a month and It is working better than either Soma or Flexeril. I have had to increase the dosage, but I haven't felt any side effects such as impaired thinking or reactions. That may be because my muscle spasms are so bad. I have been diagnosed with UCTD and the docs are leaning towrd SLE.
