Flexeril vs hydrocodone

Common Questions and Answers about Flexeril vs hydrocodone

flexeril

Avatar n tn I swear by Flexeril! I have dealt with Chiari symptoms for over 20 years now and now if I take a Flexeril right when the headache starts to come on, I fall asleep and wake up as if I never had the headache. It is a miracle drug for Chiari headaches!!
Avatar f tn I have been taking hydrocodone 10/325 4 sometimes 5 per day for 2 years. i had a fusion in my back and severe arthritis. i will be married 15 years next month to the best husband and I have 3 of the most awesome children who are now 13, 9 & 9). About 6 months ago my husband took the RX bottle and locked it in the safe (i have no key). And would leave me 3 pills to get me through u til he got home . My 4 th was at bedtime. 3 days ago I decided I want my life back.
751951 tn?1406632863 d rather give up the benefit I sensed from the Flexeril, vs. that from the Amantadine. If I drop both, I might never have a clue which to avoid in the future, right? Plus, I'd likely be back to feeling as crummy as I felt six weeks ago. Does this make sense? After the past 36 hours, I'm a little less comfortable with my own thought process. What do y'all think?
Avatar m tn I am on day 4 of withdrawal from hydrocodone. Is there anything OTC that I can take to help me sleep? Would Zyprexa help at all? I had been taking 20 per day for about 10 years. Over the past 2-3 weeks, I have been tapering them back, down to about 10 per day. I have taken 0 over the past four days. I haven't slept in several days. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Avatar n tn Not really any difference. Vicoprofen has Ibuprofen with the Hydrocodone. Vicodin has Tylenol. Strength would be the same if they both were the same dose.
1653969 tn?1390331661 I got a rx for flexeril today for what the doc thinks are tension headaches I'm getting. I have no worries about abusing them because they put me to sleep within 30 mins of taking. Anyway s I took one this afternoon and of course crashed on the couch, when I woke up I was having the worse RLS ever!I never got it too bad during my detox of vics, when I did it was always my arms, but this was horrible,I ended up walking laps around the cul de sac until they calmed down.
Avatar f tn After four days in the hospital I was released with a number of prescriptions. Right now I take two 20mg OxyContin daily, two 5mg Flexeril daily which is replaced with one 5mg Valium at night, and one 10mg Oxycodone Acetaminophen every 5 hours (I was on one every four hours but downgraded to every five hours yesterday). My doctor also gave me a prescription for Hydrocodone Acetaminophen to take instead of the Oxycodone for when I was ready.
Avatar f tn But for right now, to deal with your withdrawal symptoms, see if your doctor can write you a prescription for some Requip for restlessness, Neurontin for anxiety and malaise, some Flexeril or Soma for a few weeks for muscle spasms and maybe some Seroquel low dose, for sleep, Clonidine helps with the creepy-crawly feeling and helps stabilize the blood pressure. All of these medications will make your life easier during this time.
Avatar f tn Ive been taking 2 mg of a suboxone strip every 3-4 days , I have extender restless legs that keep me from getting any rest/sleep. Ido not want to swap hydrocodone for subs so what's the correct way to taper SHORT TERM... Please help I know the longer I take sub the longer it's gonna take to get off!!!!
232328 tn?1207090071 Hi there. I was prescribed flexeril today for some back pain. Can anyone tell me exactly what it is? If it is addicting? Will it make me sleepy/hyper, etc?
Avatar m tn Does anyone know very much about Flexeril? I just received an call from someone that thinks they may have overdosed on it. He usually does not take it and took up to ten 10mg tablets today and feels somewhat out of it. 100mg in one shot shouldn't do too much should it? He is in No. CA and I'm in So. CA so I can't get to him. Should I be concerned about him not waking up? Apparently he took six of them yesterday and I read the half life is 1-3 days.
1415174 tn?1453243103 Hi again has anyone tried Flexeril (muscle relaxant)? Any bad side effects and did it help pain , I have I guess myofascial pain. Any trouble with withdrawal gettnig off of it?
Avatar f tn well,im back....i posted about 2 years ago....did two days n went back. Avatar m tn I went to see the Ortho today and he prescribed 10mg hyro and 10 mg Flexeril until I can schedule PT again. I am going to make sure to go through all 3 weeks so that my cheap insurance will pay for an MRI. I had one a little over a year ago thatt revealed a bulged disc at L4 or L5...can't remember which. My insurance at that time paid with no questions. My question is this, I am taking so many meds that can cause drowsiness, I'm afraid I will be a zombie.
Avatar f tn avisg is our resident expert on Trams. Vicodin is also an opiate. It is Hydrocodone and addictive as all opiates are. On the addiction scale Vics are not as strong as other opiates. Why do you ask?
403399 tn?1201833095 The only reason why Tramadol (Ultracet, Ultram, etc.) is not considered a narcotic is because at the moment it is unscheduled in the USA and pretty much everywhere else. It is fairly new being researched and first put on the market in the 90's.
149087 tn?1258453820 I have been on Baclofen for about a month and It is working better than either Soma or Flexeril. I have had to increase the dosage, but I haven't felt any side effects such as impaired thinking or reactions. That may be because my muscle spasms are so bad. I have been diagnosed with UCTD and the docs are leaning towrd SLE.
206807 tn?1331936184 Since changing to Norco my intake has doubled and has me concerned. I know they both have same amount of hydrocodone but does Lorcet work longer because of the Acetaminophen? Does the Acetaminophen slower the disribution of hydrocodone? The Norco seems to work faster but the Lorcet seems to work longer. Any input?
