flexeril in urine

flexeril can not be found on a standard emplyment urine screen...i worked in employee health at a hospital..

Does anyone know very much about Flexeril? I just received an call from someone that thinks they may have overdosed on it. He usually does not take it and took up to ten 10mg tablets today and feels somewhat out of it. 100mg in one shot shouldn't do too much should it? He is in No. CA and I'm in So. CA so I can't get to him. Should I be concerned about him not waking up? Apparently he took six of them yesterday and I read the half life is 1-3 days.

Hi there. I was prescribed flexeril today for some back pain. Can anyone tell me exactly what it is? If it is addicting? Will it make me sleepy/hyper, etc?

Hi again has anyone tried Flexeril (muscle relaxant)? Any bad side effects and did it help pain , I have I guess myofascial pain. Any trouble with withdrawal gettnig off of it?

My husband is only 38, he had a stroke last year he had a stent put in, now he is on plavix, atenolol, hydrochlorothiazide 25mg, last week his doc added niacin 500 mg, simvastatin 20, flexeril and tramadol, also his one aspirin each day, these are just so many meds, are they safe?

Ever since I took medication for an uti, I've been having very bad pain in my left arm, chest, back, and stomach. Sometimes my left shoulder will go numb my feet sometimes has tingling sensation. And my heart will start beating really fast and I feel like I couldn't breathe I've been to urgent care and the emergency room took blood test and urine test all normal.

The meds he has taken in the last 30 days are Flexeril for pulled back muscle, Ibuprophen, Tylenol, Ceftin (Antibiotic) due to a tooth being pulled the absecessed and Lortabs. Can any of these give a false positive for the Darvocet. And how can I prove it to his work place.

Alcohol and flexeril are both central nervous system suppressants and consuming alcohol while taking flexeril compounds the drowsiness, confused thinking, respiratory suppression of the muscle relaxant. Flexeril/alcohol combos are frequent causes of accidental overdose. I would avoid the alcohol while taking the flexeril completely. If you already were consuming alcohol, I would skip the flexeril for at least 12 hours or more, depending upon how much alcohol you consumed.

Congrats on the 3 weeks. I would take aleve myself. If my back hurts at night I take advil PM .

The first day I took three, I found myself looking at my bottle of pain medication thinking about taking the whole bottle at once! I immediately threw the Flexeril in the trash. Nothing like that ever happened to me before that day, and nothing like that has ever happened since. I have never suffered from depression, so the whole incident freaked me out! I admit I dislike taking medication, and the only medication I routinely take is pain medication.

Hi Tuckamore, FYI, I went to the doctor yesterday and he said Flexeril is known to cause skipping heart beats and other problems like that and I have to go off of it tonight. So, I went off the Flexeril last night and has some trouble sleeping but took an antihistamine and I seem to be doing ok today. So, far my heartbeat is better. I hope that does the trick. I looked up the side effects of Flexeril and <1% get the arhythimias and so I guess I'm in the 1% as usual.

Hey all, Hope everyones holiday weekend was fab:) My pain doc prescribed some Flexeril for me today. I'm excited because it's non-narcotic and I'd rather just keep away from the any narcs. But my little(yeah, right)fear of medication is getting to me. I relaized the muscle relaxants might help because as soon as I started ambien my pain decreased some.

then i was involved in a car accident and was prescribed flexeril 7 days ago. the palps started 30 mins after the first pill. i just thought it was stress from the accident and "oh great, the skips are back"...until they became debilitating, and my bp dropped to 90/50, where as it is usually 115/75.i went to the dr. I been taking flexeril for years because of muscle pain due to Lupus and for the last 2 months have been being treated for severe indigestion as a side effect of the med Verapimil. I was wondering if the flexeril could relax the sphincter muscle that is involved in GERD? I have been taking 3/4 of a 10mg Flexerit once a day before bed Pain Management Dr put me on 4-1/2 yrs ago while detoxing from Valium (horrible). I'm sure God brought me here getting off Valium. People here helped me so much like Cricket, AtThebeach and many others. I couldn't have done it without them and our Heavenly Father. Was on Gabapentin (for me is a horrible drug). He offered that again, maybe won't be as bad now, not withdrawing from Valium.

Last test I had to drink a pot of coffee as a diuretic and several glasses of water to pee. It is a PITA trying to hydrate fast enough to give them urine in time for their pick up. I drank liquids from 9-11 before I could pee. 1- Can I request my tox screen be done by blood work? Is this practical? It would be much easier for me. The nurse stated that Tox screens cannot be done by blood, but my research shows that is false.
