Hi, PD. It's good scientific method to cut out one thing at a time. If you deleted both, how would you know which one it was? Assuming it was one of them, that is. Maybe you just need a different *type* of med. Baclofen rather than Flexeril, for example. I think you're wise to do what you're doing for now, and see what happens. You can always add the other again, and if horrors occur, you'll know.

My doctor has me on 600 mg of gemfibozil once a day before meals and simistation 40 mgs once a day. I have high cholestrol and very high trycliderides. I had a heart attack 10 years ago, Now my question is i read on the net these two meds should not be taken together. Can i get your advice on this please.

taperme~ I have tried motrin. I interval motrin and aleve because if I stick to just one it doesn't do much of anything. so I take motrin 2x a day and aleve 1-2x a day. Tylenol 4x a day. some really cool things to update on. after I created my thread I went and got a hot bath, then put on a lidoderm patch and a heat wrap. I went to bed with nearly NO pain!!

t you call you Pharmacist and tell them what happened and ask them about the Flexeril and see what they think about it. Whether or not it JUST caused this by itself OR if it interacted with something else that you are taking. Curious about what you find out.....

t sleep because of these constant muscle contractions in my legs and back. Last week the dr. gave me Flexeril, the muscle relaxer to help sleep. It works well but leaves me so groggy the next day. the last few days I have only been taking 1/2 or even 1/3 pill, it takes longer to sleep, but still works. Last night I tried without one and the muscle spasms were worse. Does anyone know if the Flexeril is actually causing these to last longer than they normally would?

I still have to take 4-5 Goody extra strength powders a day, 2 naproxen 500, and 1 or 2 motrin 800 daily and ice/heat for any reflief. The only thing they prescribe is motrin and flexeril which doesnt help. Does this sound like instability, tendinosis, or bursitis?

In my case the pain I was experiencing in my feet did not lessen at all with Motrin. It was determined to be nerve pain and responded nicely to a combination of Neurontin (gabapentin), an anti seizure medication, and Elavil (amitriptilyne) an antidepressant. So you should not take a pill from a bottle that says Motrin and another pill from a bottle that says Ibuprofen. Remember these are the SAME. The answer to your question, why is Tramadol not working is simple, it is not strong enough to control or ease your pain. There are also other muscle relaxants that may be more effective for you. I highly suggest that you contact your PCP and inform him of your pain. Again if you are extremely uncomfortable you should go to ER to obtain pain relief.

then i was involved in a car accident and was prescribed flexeril 7 days ago. the palps started 30 mins after the first pill. i just thought it was stress from the accident and "oh great, the skips are back"...until they became debilitating, and my bp dropped to 90/50, where as it is usually 115/75.i went to the dr. AGAIN and he said to go see a cardioloist AGAIN.

Motrin, Tylenol, Codine, Flexeril, Naproxen, Injections, ( all I see are Anti depressants, and sometimes the Mood would be better if the pain was gone. :) Or, maybe blank spaces that we could fill in with the Meds that are not on the list? I would like to be able to show my Doc. how I take my meds and how I feel each day, it would take up less of her time in the office if she could just check on me once in a while on here.: ) Just Ideas! My big fear is epilepsy Oxy use to make me shake and bite my tongue but since i been on 200mg Lamictal it has stopped I read Flexeril may cause seizure but then I also read the opposite. Even if I am not epileptic I like to play it safe as my Doc is out, and the pharmacy worker never seems to know anything. So does Flexeril increase seizure risk or is that just for (diagnosed) epileptics? I don't want to add it to the oxy and have a attack.

I been taking flexeril for years because of muscle pain due to Lupus and for the last 2 months have been being treated for severe indigestion as a side effect of the med Verapimil. I was wondering if the flexeril could relax the sphincter muscle that is involved in GERD? Hi again has anyone tried Flexeril (muscle relaxant)? Any bad side effects and did it help pain , I have I guess myofascial pain. Any trouble with withdrawal gettnig off of it?

I used flexeril for back pain, and to be honest it did nothing...The doctor told me it was going to make me sleepy and it did not...It is a muscle relaxent... I ws on the 10mg dose.... So then he switched me to zanaflex, and i can only take it at nite because it makes me knock out....I don't take it all the time, only when my back is hurting as i think that one can be addicting i am sure others will give you their experience on it!

I've had bad lower back, tailbone, and pelvic pain. My doctor prescribed flexiril and pain meds. I take them as needed, I usually take half of a muscle relaxer though cause they make me so sleepy!

found out I have been incorrectly taking flexeril for over a year and a half! Pain varies from as mild as a 2/10 to 4-5/10 some days.

I spoke way to soon earlier. Mine got so bad I just got back from the ER ughh A shot of tramadol didn't help so they sent me home with none other then flexeril, percocet and motrin ughhh. They took back x-rays and he said my spasms are straightening my upper back. Then said I should follow up with my doctor... really? :) I hope your Dr. gives you something more then Flexeril and it eases your pain.

a little more info but the short answer is yes with a prescription and yes if it is available in the home and yes from friends. Do you take flexeril? Who suggested it? What does your child need it for? I ask this way because of the ongoing epidemic of Prescription drug abuse by children who get it at home or from friends who get it at home etc. And you did good asking but better to ask your doc. 50 mg and yea motrin 800 doesn't work for me either and is rough on my stomach but mobic(that's the non generic name for meloxicam) is only 15mg and doesn't bother my stomach.
