7612493 tn?1393737078 m estimated 6 weeks and a few days, and I like to go on walks, hike, take bike rides, do yoga and such. And I really want to get back into exercising. So I don't blow up while pregnant. But I obviously do not want to harm the baby. What would be considered too much? And what should I stay away from? I was told 20-30 pounds is what they think I should gain, but that being baby weight not all fat gain.
572651 tn?1530999357 Want to try yoga in the quiet and privacy of your own home? There is a free MyMSYoga program dvd ad that keeps flashing on my screen here at MedHelp. I have this DVD and it is very good. The program is sponsored by BioGen and you don't have to be one of their patients to request this resource. If the ad isn't popping up for you, here is the link for more information and to order a copy for your home use. http://www.msactivesource.com/ms-yoga.
Avatar f tn Sometimes, just increasing your activity level can make all the difference. Try something your curious about, kick boxing, yoga, walking around the block, etc. You might find something that helps you feel how you want to. Also, just changing your diet every couple weeks could also help you feel better. There is always going to be conflicting information that will confuse you and possibly make you feel your doing something wrong or different then you originally thought.
Avatar f tn my calorie intake is normal ,i take more fludis and my BMI is 24 .i regularly do 45 min walking in morning and yoga .pls tell me how to get rid of this fat from abdomen area.and is this due to the cholecystectomy surgery that i gained weight in abdomen ? will i get rid of this or not? pls help me with valuable and effective suggestions. Thanks..
Avatar f tn Try swimming, walking, stationery bike or yoga. Those types of exercise are good for you while being pregnant. I'm 16 weeks and I was overweight before i got pregnant and have lost 15 pounds so far just by changing my diet. So it's possible. Keep your head up!
Avatar f tn I have sworn off diet pills. ALI made me so sick I lost control of my bowels. Thank goodness that is over. Any suggestions would be helpful. Just another 10 more pounds and I can wear my favorite clothes again!
973741 tn?1342342773 Thanks, Barb! I remember Leslie Sansone! I've done her walking work outs in the past, maybe YOU actually told me about it. Great idea . . . I did it on youtube. I'm not young, I have plenty of dvd's! But our dvd player went kaput. My kids tell me I can play them in their x box though. But for Leslie, I'll look her up on youtube. I have old work out videos but they are WAY too intense! But I have some kick boxing ones that I liked (used to be one of my things to do).
Avatar f tn Well I do fitness sometimes but hardly and I want to know if there is a type of fitness that I can lose weight from
Avatar n tn I do bike still and walk daily. My second trimester is awesome, I take fitness and yoga pregnancy classes at the local midwifery clinic. The classes are 75 min once a week, and seem as "hardcore" as regular fitness classes. I hope to start swimming too soon.
Avatar f tn Swimming is good and prenatal yoga. The yoga will help you with your labor! It also leaves you feeling amazing!! We have girls in class tjat are 40 weeks!!
Avatar f tn I swim and do a fitness class twice a week. Swimming is an hour each day. The fitness class involves running laps, squats, kettle balls, planks, etc. I was athletic going in and plan to maintain but I go for walks every now and then too.
18780353 tn?1467859637 I travel transcontinental and not always staying in hotels. Of course I kmow the topicd. Eat healthy. Bool hotel with fitness. Run outside in the free. Unfortunate I am not always in those areas. I try to drink on water on flights. Take LCML on flights. Frequent travellers know what I mean. @hotels. Veggies and fruit. Any more suggestions? Thx.
Avatar m tn I didn't do yoga but know that there are classes and videos directed at the pregnant woman to do it. I walked a lot and lifted light weights when pregnant.
Avatar f tn So I've dealt with some pain during this pregnancy, I've had a lot of migrains that raise my bp. I can control my bp though if I focus on being relaxed breathing good and work through the anxiety by zoning out of it best I can. So with that being said I'm looking into meditation and practicing it through my labor.
Avatar f tn I was very much into fitness before I got pregnant but my first trimester (even before I knew I was pregnant) I pretty much stopped everything because I had no energy. I'm now 15 weeks and this is my 2nd day in a row doing some light workouts. Anyone else?
4845170 tn?1369102292 I just started my third tri but since I found out I was pregnant I have done stretches as squats nearly every day, as the weather got warmer into my second I began to walk at least 3 times a week n started doing prenatal yoga for beginners but it makes me feel the best...I strongly suggest the yoga its great for repaxing n stretching and for a small amount of strengthening (if that's a word haha) I'm hoping all these things help when labor comes.
11294269 tn?1422402907 As far as exercise, we can keep doing what we already were doing but its the wrong time to pick up new fitness regimines. You can go for regular walks or swims or so prenatal yoga I'd you haven't exercised before but that's about it. As far as food, you can always start making healthier choices. The more balanced nutrients you get ever day the healthier you and baby will be. In 2nd trimester you need about 300 more calories than normal and 3rd trimester about 450 more.
167 tn?1374173817 Have you ever noticed the guns on ladies that do yoga? Beautiful. I suggest a daily yoga practice and light cardio several times a week, and a healthy diet and you should be gorgeous by the big day. Congrats!
Avatar f tn I work in a fitness center and i like to work out not heavy but work out. Im 6weeks and i know the crazy.things ive started liking to eat i really just want to have a easy labor and delivery and lose this extra baby fat!
Avatar f tn Prenatal yoga, walking, & swimming are a few great exercises during pregnancy, but ask your doctor what else they recommend for you.
973741 tn?1342342773 I used to do yoga every day and loved it. There are a variety of different types of yoga - some more active than others, so you can actually work up a sweat if that's your goal. There's yoga for every age and level of activity, ranging from weight loss to chair yoga for seniors or disabled.

987762 tn?1671273328 Hey guys and dolls, I was given the Wii fit for Mother day and apart from playing around on the first day, i've been avoiding doing it. Every night DH and DS are Wii fitting for 1/2 an hour, and although they are encouraging me to join in, i've been very reluctant. DH and i talked about me avoiding things that burst the bubble of illusion and highlight my weaknessess, eg I dont talk much when having a bad day with my noun finding.
Avatar f tn Stop eating any processed foods in packets for main meals (like instant noodles or packaged meals), try to avoid them as snacks as much as possible (no chrisps!), and try to avoid artificial sugar completely.
Avatar f tn Stretching is fine also there is some yoga you can try...if you use any weights keep it minimal and think more cardiovascular....try light treadmill ....sitting toe touch....also great one is sit in an invisible chair against the wall....so squat place back on wall and keep knees 90 degrees ...
