Avatar n tn Swelling...I can't tell just by looking at mine that they are swollen, but its the same kind of feeling when I go hiking. Which is pretty common with hikers to also get swelling in their hands and arms. Doesnt hurt but feels tight. I'm 36 weeks and definitely have that issue in my hands too. Kind of hard to grab things as easily?

6894081 tn?1390747763 Haha the 'perks' of pregnancy lol. To shave my legs I prop my leg up on the border of the tub and feel for any missed spots. & as for down there I luckily have a huge mirror in front of my shower so it helps sooo much but still feel for missed spots. Its sooo difficult haha.
Avatar f tn s your maximum heart rate you want to get your HR between 65% and 85% of your maximum that would be 114 for 65% and 149 for 85%. I suggest buying a heart rate monitor and try keeping your HR between 114 and 149 when doing the peak 8. You burn 30 percent more fat from doing cardio after a weights session as opposed to cardio on its own.

Avatar f tn I think they mean that it will be harder for you to be able to push the baby out since ypu havent really worked out your muscles...but yea exercise makes labor go by faster, as i've heard by many women....
Avatar f tn Also when aiming at losing weight the protein intake may be slightly increased and the carbohydrate intake slightly lowered. The calorie requirement should also be adjusted for ones physical activities as well. Lower than adequate calorie intake can also cause weight gain, due to the stress hormones kicking in. Start with a healthy breakfast, moderate lunch and light dinner. Also keep a track of calorie intake and your work out.
Avatar f tn I just learned how to hula on pintrest. I took forever to figure out how, but the hula instructors on both tutorials said that hula burns about 600 calories per hour, which is a lot and it also builds up your ab muscle. Good luck.

Muscle mass takes up less space and is more compact making a person seem smaller than that of their counterpart who carries more fat. muscle can be trim looking, where fat might not be trim looking on some people. Everyone carries their weight different. If you are HEALTHY at your current weight and are perfectly happy where you are, then maintain.

Avatar f tn I use to workout about 4 to 5 times a week, moderately lifting weights. Since I stopped, at first I was slightly tired but for the past few weeks I feel exhausted. At first I thought it was something else but now I think it's not working out. Has anyone else experienced something like this where you feel light headed and get headaches and are it's constantly tired.
Avatar f tn We have a thread on Wednesdays that have exercises for those of us with limitations...be it surgery or the chiari itself. U would want to start with the first exercise and slowly build up that one exercise so that u r doing it for more then 10 mins at the end of 2 weeks...then add the 2nd exercise....there is one sitting in a chair so we do not have to worry about balance...and as u build up ur stamina, u will get to using weights...light weights...u can use soup cans or what ever u have.

I tried doing squats oh geeze it was horrible I was extremely sore for like 5 days no lie! I wish I wasn't so damn lazy plus I never hit a nesting stage and am scheduled to be induced Sunday night so Sunday I will be super busy getting our place cleaned up.

Occasionally, something iritates my lungs and causes me to get worse and end up on steriods/asthma medicines for several months. Avatar f tn Even baseball pitchers today have weight lifting in the offseason and run for endurance and do a lot of things like pilates for overall flexability and fitness. Doing a lot of different things when you're young enough to do them both protects you from overwork on one part of your body and keeps it fun. The more fun it is, the more likely it will become a lifetime enjoyment of fitness.
