Avatar m tn Have you tried doing something besides Zumba? Not to hate on this fitness craze but it did nothing for me. I'm 5'1" and 153lbs. Did Zumba for a while but felt nothing but pain in my ankles and knees... Try something like Cardio Kick Boxing... Spinning... Running... the stair climber. Our bodies can get used to the same exercises every week... alternate the weight you're lifting, workouts you are doing, etc. I think there is some truth to the whole "muscle confusion" thing.

Avatar n tn Cinnabon, I like the multiple meals per day approach, too and find that eating a modest amount more times a day keeps me from ever feeling completely famished. I was intrigued by the protein shake and wanted to know how many gms of "sugar alcohols" are in it. With the Atkins craze these days, I've seen a lot of products that are very low carbo ... until I read the fine print ... and discover that there may be 15 or more grams of sugar alcohols.

Avatar n tn Now I am doing the Atkins diet. I finally figured out I need some protein and fat. This low fat craze only makes people eat more carbs and we get fatter. I started the Levo this week because that is what my Insurance wants and I am ok so far. Actually I feel better. My doc had given me Syn samples but I ran out. I am going to also cut back on the Estradiol. I thought everything was due to menopause. What a fool we women are. We believe everything the doc says.
