Finger and base of finger is very swollen, feels like a fully blown up balloon. Bite itself has now appeared and has a black tinge to it and small lump. I have photo, which I'm hoping you can see at Flickr/p/KG1aPq Now Sunday morning and still swollen, tingly and sore to touch. Went for walk in countryside (UK) Friday night so could be from then. I too am a HUGE cat lover BUT will tell you dear a cat bite is the worst you can receive for infection and a bad infection....so I found out when my husband under similar circumstances was bitten badly, the next day his hand was so swollen we rushed to the ER...he was put on IV anitbiotics and that lasted 10 days....the doctor said at one point with continued check ups that he could risk loosing the use of that hand...thankfully it finally responded to treatment and healed....

Don't know what to do? My cat Blue who is a tom cat has a swollen front right arm. He shows no signs of bite marks or oozing. He was limping on it till I gave him tylenol. 24hrs later and its still swollen. What do you recomend??? PLEASE HELP!!

Hello, So about 6 months ago, I was attacked by a feral cat at work. After getting rabies shots and two rounds of amoxicillin, I noticed the development of white discharge from my throat and sore swollen lymph nodes. My cat was getting attacked by anothee cat last night and I went to grab my cat so I could take her away from the other cat.
