Avatar f tn Has anyone tried prenatal yoga? If so, what did you think of it? I want to sign up for classes but they're a bit pricey so I'm not sure if it's worth it.
Avatar f tn i am 23 weeks and really havent gained weight however i dont think it is from the yoga i think its just me that im not gaining weight. I have a great instructor and it really helps with the stress and crazness of being pregnant. And its a wonderful bonding experience with your baby. I feel so close to my son. A lot has to do with the yoga intsructor, the way she relaxes the class and she knows just the right positions for pregnant women. I highly recomend it.
Avatar f tn What yoga positions are of limits of actually number one on my list. I do yoga everyday and I'm not sure which ones I can't do.
Avatar m tn If you like yoga but are having issues with some of the positions, maybe you could consider 1:1 yoga therapy. It's like PT, but yoga-focused. I do this weekly and love it! It's targeted just to me -- my yoga therapist works with me to find positions that work with Chiari and post-surgical issues. Also, there is a body work/massage component. I was able to get this covered under the exercise therapy portion of my chiropractic benefit.
400099 tn?1282954864 Yoga is supposed to be very helpful for MS patients. My only caution would be, if you have lower back issues, certain yoga positions and movements can aggravate the lower back. If you do have back issues, you will know what to avoid just by seeing the position. Yoga is a great way to gain strength and flexibility. Let us know how it goes for you.

Avatar f tn Wow, talk to your baby, "baby please come out" that's what I did when I was induced and wouldn't open more than 5cm after 3 days. They threatened c-section and I didn't want that. I lowered the epidural and changed positions. I talked to my baby and pictured her finding her way out with help from powers to be. Anyways whatever I did worked, because a few hours later, she found her way out naturally.
Avatar n tn I want to increase flexibility and muscle tone. Does anyone have any recommendations for a decent yoga/exercise DVD?
Avatar f tn Anything else hurts my stomach. Walking and yoga is really good! Just be safe and research the positions- maybe visit with a prenatal yoga instructor so you know hands on what's best.
Avatar m tn I'm a 50 year old yoga teacher and flight attendant and am due to have a Sacrocolpopoxy on 30th Dec. I had a vaginal hysterectomy at 37. I have come to terms with my operation but am really concerned about future yoga practice. At present I suffer no symptoms teaching and practising( probably due to constant attention to core and mindful movement) however do suffer symptoms when I fly and have been on my feet all day.

230948 tn?1235844329 I have heard of people having hip bursitis with your type of pain, or even pain from sciatica can cause hip pain, which I have, but typically, in order to be diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, you need to have pain in at least 11 of the 18 tender point identified by Rheumatologist for diagnostic purposes. Have you been seen by a Rheumatologist? They would be the doctor best fit to diagnose Fibromyalgia. I have posted a link here from our website (MedHelp) of the common symptoms of Fibromyalgia.
Avatar f tn I traded in my chair for a yoga ball and did the downward facing dog yoga pose a lot. Those both helped him move.
Avatar m tn Can twisting the torso and holding it as in some yoga poses cause damage to the pylorus or any other organ that might result in gastroparesis? Also, has anyone been able to control gastroparesis by chewing longer to more thoroughly pulverize food?
Avatar n tn this happens to me as well, once my entire face, eyes and lip especially swelled horribly after face down massage, when I do yoga inverted positions I feel my lip start and this morning my eyes are still puffy (by bridge of nose esp. I dont keep my face in the donut thing and when I feel my lip starting I wont allow the massage in that posistion to continue much monger. I also dont stay in inverted positions of yoga long when I feel it anymore either.
