Common Questions and Answers about Fibromyalgia symptoms eyesight

fibromyalgia

Avatar n tn Yes, Fibromyalgia can affect your mother's eyesight. I have fibromyalgia and I read that the problems with eyesight are due to the nervous system, which is the centre of sensitivity in the body.Contact lenses can cause pain and irritation, while wearing glasses can trigger mysofacial trigger points (TrPs) in the face and the neck. Pain can also be experienced in the ears, teeth and nose. FMS can also lead to the production of a thick secretion, which subsequently impacts vision.
Avatar n tn For about a month now I've been having some strange eye symptoms. It started with some pretty sharp pain behind the right eye. This pain lasted for 3 days. The pain subsided for a couple days and then I started getting pain behind both eyes. From then on I've been getting headaches. Some other symptoms that have occured are: double-vision (only when I look down), blurred vision, a bit of dizziness and balance issues.
Avatar f tn Back pain, neck pain, fatigue, lack of sleep, sometimes I have excessive thirst, eye pain, bad eyesight, see diffrent colors sometimes, and I'm hungry a lot. My step dad had Acoustic Nuermoa, and that happens to like 1 in 100,000 people or something like that, so I'm positive I don't have it. There is no way my family is that unlucky. I doubt I have any brain tumors, as a matter of fact.
Avatar f tn Somewhere in this multitude of posts, I thought I read that you were in remission. And yet, you have symptoms. I'm confused then. How can you have symptoms if you're in remission (or did I get this wrong?) Also, saw your pictures, may I compliment you on your gorgeous embroidery; you have a remarkable talent!
Avatar f tn Magnesium deficiency symptoms are numerous but from your list of symptoms includes wide spread pain (my my doctor thought I had fibromyalgia), ear ringing, migranes, blurry vision, wheezing, dizziness, fluid retention, fatigue (although fatigue and fluid retention are symptom of insulin resistance/pre diabetes as well) to name a few symptoms. Your kidneys might not be too healthy either. Just to add, my mother currently has severe oedema in her ankles due to untreated hypothyroidism.

Avatar n tn I am a 22 year old female and after doing a bit of research it sounds as though I have several symptoms that occur under fibromyalgia. I have had throughout my entire life a bizarre amount of muscle problems and pain. In recent times (last 5-6 months) I have had occasions where my body and skin hurts so much that even my shirt is hurting it. This isn't an everyday, or even every week, event but it has happened probably 5 or 6 time.
Avatar f tn Hello! I have been tenatively diagnosed with fibromyalgia...that is, my GP said she thought I had it based on my symptoms, but sent me to a rheumatologist for further testing. She had also tested my vitamin D levels, and it was dreadfully low (8!!). I've been on 50K IU of Vitamin D weekly since then. The rheumatologist ran a huge battery of tests on me -- checking for MS among other things.
Avatar f tn My eyesight is blocked (grey) where the arthroses is situated. It is not a terribly big spot, around the spot I could still see and I was able to read. Now after the biopsy my eyesight has terribly deteriorated. It is as if the eye is 'blurred' with blurred grey moving spots. That really happened after the biopsy. The biopsy showed that the cause of the arthrosis might be rheumatoid fever although others disagree. In the meantime I can hardly see with the eye anymore.
Avatar f tn Anyone have really bad ADD? How about eyesight getting tremendously worse every year and still having very dry eyes. Anyone out there seemed to have never "bounced back" after the peglated interferon/ribaviran treatment? My husband tells me that all the time. I feel like a hypochondriac. I am in constant pain and always tired. Blood was just tested in December, liver enzymes very good @ 24 for ALT and no active hep C.

I have been seeing a neurologist as I have a family history of MS - my grandfather had it. I have had 3 MRIs (brain 8/07, cervical 9/07 & repeat of brain on 10/08) that were all clear. As far as my symptoms go, they are not constant. They occur intermittently and randomly throughout the day.

Muscle weakness, tiredness, sleep problems, diarrhea, and foggy brain. A couple of months ago I noticed my legs getting weaker. And they would shake when I tried to get up from a sitting or squatting position. Then I started to hurt all over, my appetite disappeared, and I couldn't sleep.
