Fibromyalgia symptoms breast pain

Common Questions and Answers about Fibromyalgia symptoms breast pain

Avatar n tn If you have no other symptoms and the fact that it involves both breasts I doubt this is in any way related to Breast Cancer. Breast tenderness isn't particularly unusual in women of almost any age. I would advise you to make an appointment with your family Physician for a clinical breast exam and some investigation as to what may be causing this problem. Since you mention pain in the axillary areas also I'm wondering if this could possibly be a skin issue.
Avatar f tn I pretty much can mirror your pain symptoms... And yeah, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia many years ago...

Avatar n tn My doc says that I have fibromyalgia and not to worry. But I have so many lumps throughout my body I do worry. I first noticed a few tender lumps on my right rib after having an ultrasound 9 months ago. (I thought the tech was rough but over time the pain gets better then comes back.) I have many more squishy tender lumps now.(I did notice that in both of my thighs they also had small bumps but now its more like a hard, tender rope.
1033336 tn?1252509731 The characteristic feature of Fibromyalgia is a muscle pain mostly in neck, back, thighs, and hips. There is presence of specific tender points in these areas that trigger the pain. Along with this there is morning stiffness in the muscles, brain fog, dizziness and other neurological symptoms. Since you are suffering from pain specifically located at the joints, and it started after the flu, the pains are related to the viral infection.
1550149 tn?1340004330 Some experts believe that fibromyalgia does not lead to poor sleeping patterns, but that sleep disturbances come first, precipitating many cases of fibromyalgia pain. In one study, healthy volunteers reported fibromyalgia-like pain after they had been subjected to disrupted deep sleep. Disturbed sleep appears to trigger factors in the immune system that cause inflammation, pain, fatigue, and a decreased pain threshold.
394017 tn?1255018132 I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Myofascial Pain in April 2008. Just as I was getting used to managing that chronic disease, I was hit with this news about a breast biopsy. I am on Lyrica which has helped with the pain but I am still fatigued and not sleeping well. Does anyone else have Fibromyalgia and have gone through radiation treament?

Avatar f tn I am wondering is this may be referred pain rather than actual breast pain. The pain may actually originate in the esophageal or stomach area, or may be a diaphragm pain that is referred to the breast. As you know your breast has absolutely nothing to do with eating and digestion. Is it possible that this pain is actually do to a digestive process. Sometimes a condition called gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) can produce similar symptoms.
203342 tn?1328740807 Hi April. I get breast pain, but it's around the side and underneath. I am already through menopause, however. Also, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, so that could be it. But I have had this pain throughout my life, on and off. What I do is use ice ( I know it sounds bad) and take some Advil. I also get a red rash around my nipples and the doctor told me to put cortizone cream on it or neosporin.
Avatar f tn i had anxiety since 2006 and then i developed left breast pain radiating to my shoulder, and also i am experiencing indigestion which driving me insane...... some times the pain disappear but it goes back after an hour, can anyone tell me whats the really cause of the pain in my leftbreast....
Avatar f tn Yes, chest pain is another one of symptoms of Fibromyalgia. It's mostly in the pectoral area. There are several trigger points tests doctors use to see if you have Fibromyalgia. Mine started inside my knees. Keep in mind that "Fibro" pain is bilateral which means that it occurs on both sides of the body. I have all of the "trigger points" like, both sides of my neck, back of shoulders, thighs, inside of my knee and tenderness in my upper arms.
Avatar f tn You have done one, however, the clinician would be looking for T-Wave pattern abnormalities, very consistent with Fibro sufferers also, where instead of peaks, there are valleys and inversions, in which case the blood in the left ventricle is not being pumped up efficiently through the aorta, and with possible tissue scarring occurring in the left ventricle pressing on the nerve, thus somewhat explaining the pain above the left breast.
Avatar f tn Most recent visit excruciating pain under right breast in ribs. He sent me to a rheumatologist because he believes it is fibromyalgia. The rheumatologist is adamantly against diagnosing pts w/fibro. Went back to neur. because the headaches are so intense I am now on a medical leave. He ordered a spinal tap to rule out ms and lymes. I am now awaiting the results. Can people with MS have lesions in the frontal lobe.?
2010625 tn?1329375656 It seems though my pain gets worse at night, right now, I have a headache the back of my neck, and shoulders hurt, and pain going down my arms. Here is a list of my symptoms that seem to be associated with my pain Pain, in various parts of the body Tingling, and numbness in feet, hands, top of head (only happens with headaches), back of neck, across shoulders, and rarely on right side of my face across the top of my jaw line extending from ear to chin.
1830047 tn?1321671393 I have atypical migraines which attack the same area as the fibromyalgia...intestines. I get nausea, bone pain in my core area and intestional distress with a slight headache. Feels like the flu. I take topomax for the migraines morning and night which helps. I am so light sensitive that I have to stay home most of the time and have blackout shades. The diet for migraine is different than fibromyalgia so I walk the fence and follow a modified diet that is organic and healthy.
358486 tn?1294779988 You should try to wear lose clothes, try some breast massage, breast exercises and OTC pain killers for a few days - to help relieve the pain, till you are able to see your doctor. The chances that this is cancerous or malignant are minimal and you should not worry about that. Do let us know about your visit to the doctor. Hope this helps. Good luck.
215021 tn?1224886057 I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 5 years ago and generally manage the symptoms with various pain medications. However, since the op' the joint pain has gotten worse again and I am now convinced there is a connection. I don't really understand all the stuff about the 'auto immune system' but I have been told that mine is showing signs of being 'compromised'. Specifically the Anti Nuclear Antibody test was 'positive' and my Thyroid Peroxidase was 'significantly' raised.
Avatar m tn Hi loops5, I'm sorry to hear you are now one of us. I was an RN when I had a car accident which started my FMS and that was 30 years ago. They called it fibrositis back then. I now also have CFS and CMP. So, in my long experience with this, I wanted to throw out a few things you may not have heard. There is sometimes a co-existing condition with FMS called Chronic Myofascia Pain (CMP). Fascia is a sort of connecting tissue that holds everything in your body in place.
Avatar f tn Hi My doctor tells me I have fibromyalgia. I have so many of the symptoms eg pain in back, hips, thighs kness, neck.shoulders so on, burning, aching. numbness, itching, muscles weakness. poor sleep pattern. Symptoms are worse with stress, monthly cycle and activity. I also have eye pain and intraocular pressure of 26 in my left eye, and foot pain. I could continue. Avatar f tn Is it possible that this pit tumor is causing the Fibromyalgia like symptoms? Seriously, I've only had these symptoms for the past few months (6-8 actually, but not really sleeping well for 3 mos or so) My IGF-1 Level is low, only 82 (we found this out when the endocrinologist had my bloodwork run looking for other things)...he said not to be concerned if it was low, only if it was high. My growth hormone level was 3.5 . Any ideas? Thank you for your help.
Avatar f tn My husband does the Acupressure boy does that hurt I do have several hot spots and it does hurt but feels much better when he is done but where my leg and hip meet it always hurts. None of the doctors down here deal with Fibromyalgia. I will check on the mysofascial pain. So did you have the knots and did they go away?
Avatar n tn I have been having a great deal of fatigue - could that be associated with the breast cancer that was just diagnosed? Are there any symptoms out side of the breast that one could experience before being diagnosed? Thank you.

1560356 tn?1294838700 Fibromyalgia, because the illness causes a whole array of symptoms and no one person with Fibromyalgia has the exact same symptoms as another person has, but all of us do suffer pain and fatigue. Someone else will have to comment on the Suboxone, though, as I personally am not familiar with that one.
Avatar n tn In order to receive the dianosis of Fibro you used to have to have 11 of the 18 tender points, have had pain for longer than 3 months and have pain in multiple quadrants of your body. However, in the last couple of years the American College of Rheumatology has accepted new criteria that is a little more comprehensive and relies on a widespread pain index (WPI) and symptom severity (SS) score.
