1852058 tn?1320162300 I have spent countless hours researching my disease, searching for safe treatments that are available. I think that if you do the research, you will find some answers that may be a benefit to you. How are you able to hide your condition and what do you tell family members & friends. Don't be ashamed of yourself because you have this condition. It's not your fault you are sick. You may be supported by your family, but you'll never know if you don't try. & about the scooter.
Avatar f tn why Medicine purposefully ignores the facts and brain wash people who suffer? Fibromyalgia and all these syndromes with "unknowed causes" untill we get cancer are caused by the toxins released by Candida colonies invasion. A mutant yeast, causing systemic invasion, opportunistic fungus which feed himself with our cells, sticking on our organs sucking glucose wherever he finds it. Our immune system is trying to get rid of it untill he gives up.
Avatar f tn com site (I live in Ottawa, Ont, Canada) and research everything you could find on fibromyalgia. The Internet has a wealth of information available for you to peruse. Here is what I did: I made an appt. with an Environmental specialist and a Naturopath. Between both of them I have come a long way. They checked my Thyroid Level, hormone levels, iron, adrenal function just to rule out any other problems. Once armed with this information I started on supplements to build up my immune system.

Avatar f tn Lowe from the Fibromyalgia Research Foundation supports the premise that most fibromyalgia patients are either hypothyroid or thyroid hormone resistant. To my opinion though we cannot find a better method to test thyroid function than Dr. Barnes Basal Temperature Test. (there are several versions now) I have devoted countless of hours, scanning through the studies and groundbreaking work of Dr. Barnes, The Father of Hypothyroidism, lol! Simply brilliant and way ahead of his time!

Avatar f tn I do however have Hashimoto's thyroiditis, bipolar disorder (NOS), depression, anxiety, and GERD. I recently figured out I have Fibromyalgia too, since my mood is finally "normal" with being on Lamictal, but all the pain is still there. That' the only way I ever figured what was wrong with me.

975514 tn?1325001538 I am becoming increasingly unhappy with the care I have been receiving from my Rheumatologist because I have many other issues beyond Fibromyalgia. I am thinking of leaving her for pain management and I am considering this as a possible option to include in my treatment. I was wondering if any of you have undergone this procedure, and if so, was your experience negative or positive or neutral? Is it worth the money?

1664773 tn?1321487145 Hi...did u have a diff sign on name b4?..... I am not sure u will want to hear my thoughts on this...as I do not think playing football and running track at this stage of ur recovery is prudent and ur body is telling u so. We all heal at diff rates and yes some can go back to a "normal" life but we still have to be careful with the activities we participate in.

522415 tn?1242941355 You also must keep up to date on research out there. You will be very much in charge of your body and take notes on what effects you good and bad. Avatar m tn My joints hurt terribly, I would bruise easily, I couldn't concentrate, was forgetful, my muscles twitched, I had headaches, acid reflux, dizziness, fatigue, weird sensory feelings like burning, tingling and numbness, my hair was falling out in droves, I was gaining weight, had cystic acne---it was not a pretty picture. At that point, I started to research my symptoms online and everything pointed to an autoimmune disorder. I went to my doctor and asked that she test my ANA levels.
