Avatar f tn Hi, I'm new to this forum, and I hope that you'll be able to help me out. For the last 16 months or so I've been unwell. I am suffering disabling fatigue, and a range of bizarre symptoms including; Non-responsive pain, mainly in my legs (and yes, even with really strong prescription painkillers, nothing shifts it) Burning on the soles of my feet and palms of my hands. Electric shock sensation and hypersensitivity on my back and trunk.

Avatar m tn The term myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) began being used in medical literature in 1938 and is still in use today, particularly in the United Kingdom. CFS sort of reminds me Guillain-Barre syndrome. GBS is a syndrome in which the body's immune system attacks part of the peripheral nervous system. Physicians know this syndrome is real and there is no controversy about it.

Avatar n tn To be honest, the person who wrote that she's suffered from Fibromyalgia for 20 years and she's only 32, doesn't realize that she doesn't actually have Fibromyalgia, but most likely a Thyroid disorder or something else. Fibromyalgia pain onset does not begin until a person is in their mid-twenties (on very rare occasions, it can begin in late teens, early twenties).

451975 tn?1372332199 You may want to ask about insuffiency of the vertobrobasilar or basilar arteries as a possible cause. Additionally, upon research I found that the basilar migraines can cause mini-strokes. For me these are migraine attacks that last for months with permanent damage as well as transient damage. The attacks seem to come and go.

534800 tn?1217170959 This is all good information and details I've discovered on the Internet in doing my research on this odd condition. I've learn to deal with it, know that if I an walking a bunch in the hot, humid weather to take it easy, but only want to somehow know if it will continue to spread over the years as it appears to be doing each summer season.
429155 tn?1205676864 Throughout the day I had a few low periods and do not yet feel the drug is out of my system, and I am yearning to be my old self. Through some research I have learned that using sleeping pills is not the answer and have decided to stop using them. It takes time for the brains receptors to begin making it's own chemicals again natuarally and the taking of any kind of drug ( not natural ones ) can upset this process.
Avatar n tn At one point, I had gone to a doctor for stomach problems, and he told me I had a borderline Peptic Ulcer, and put me on Prilosec, which really worked well, and helped control the acid reflux. I was doing some research on this Hyoid Bone, and when you have problems with the acid reflux, it can cause a lot of problems in your throat, which I'm sure you are familar with, and the acid reflux can actually cause tumors in the throat, and they can become cancerous.
Avatar n tn I am obviously not a doctor and am in no way diagnosing any conditions, but maybe you could research these further and seek out a dermatologist or a gynecologist with some experience in this area.
1647691 tn?1363727302 Did a lot of research on the herbal teas. Even had a disagreement with the lady in the health shop as some are marked as safe in pregnancy. Have to say don't like them. Feeling sick about tomorrows appointment. The sleepless nights still continue after that 2ww.
