Avatar n tn I can only turn my head to the left so far and I am getting pain and it goes up behind my ear and into my head could this be coming from my fibromyalgia? I have never had it there before. Mostly elbows and knees and shoulder sometimes.
Avatar n tn I have suffered from fibromyalgia for years. I have been taking vitiman B6/B-12 shots, and they help me with the pain of the disease. I"ve been trying to find out where to buy the B-6, I already have the B-12. Can anyone let me know if there is somewhere to buy B-6. Also, Rodex Forte is good for the off days, so I need to buy that also.
Avatar f tn Find a doctor that will work with you to ease the pain. Find one that believes fibromyalgia is real. It is easier in this day and age to do so. A few short years ago, not so much. My doctor (a few years back) looked at me like I had a mental condition when I told him my skin hurts. Finding a shower head that didn't feel like piercing needles was a task, but finally figured that out. It is hard to explain pain.
Avatar m tn Hi I am pretty for sure I have Fibromyalgia some of my symptoms include Soar and stiff muscles in my legs and I just have a Flu like feeling all the time and also the pressure points you have. I have those also. Does this sound like Fibromyalgia to you.
Avatar f tn After much blood work, many hospital visits and an abnormal MRI, my neurologist told me I have Fibromyalgia. He then sent me to a rheumatologist who was COMPLETELY against diagnosing someone with Fibromyalgia. He instantly took me off the nuerontin that I had only been on for one month. I then returned to my neuro advising him that my symptoms continued and some were worse.
Avatar f tn ve always had symptoms of fibromyalgia but never real bad but after I got that Sinus Infection my symptoms of FM became Severe. I also have a family history of Fibromyalgia, my Father, Aunt, and first cousin has it. My symptoms are so severe that my doctor had to put me off of school ,and on to homebound, where a teacher comes out to my house and brings me work twice a week.
606078 tn?1247264553 My Dave was really skeptical about these e cigarettes but agreed that anything was worth trying. I smoked my last real cigarette at 9 this morning. I got my e smokes in and put the parts together, made sure the battery was charged and turned it on. I was floored!! This was like smoking a real cigarette, but no smoke, no stink, no coughing!! I've used it 3 times today and I have no craving for nicotine. I really feel that I will quit this time.
Avatar n tn What kind of doctor should I consult as my primary care provider for fibromyalgia?
512184 tn?1268787294 I think most of us have been through this. I also believe it is an easy way out for the doctors. You might want to consider further work-up regarding lyme disease. Bell's Palsy is classic for lyme disease. So are your other symptoms. PlateletGal, I completely agree with you. I see this happening a lot too. People list diseases they have been diagnosed with but still stay it's fibro. Fibro is a disease of exclusion, meaning all other diseases have been ruled out.
Avatar f tn The people who understand fibromyalgia are those who experience the pain and fatigue. Fortunately fibromyalgia is now a recognized condition by yhe medical community but until we have technology that can measure, compute, comptehend the pain, we won't have complete credibility.
Avatar f tn along the way I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and an inflammatory autoimmune disease. not sure which one as all test come back negative but being treated for non specific RA with Humira and they want to try methotrexate. I have had an issue with my blood pressure tanking for a little over three years now.. low as 68/44, yep that puts me on the floor for a bit. my heart goes bonkers or at least that is how it feels.
1033336 tn?1252506131 Following then onwards, I have experince pain trobbing at the back, in between the joint of knees, in between the hip joint, upper and lower both of the legs, at the joints of the arms, in between fingers, at the palm of hands and feet. Avatar f tn Iam a mother with 2 young children and I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 4 years ago. Since then I have been suffering with extreme pain that never lets up. I am curious if anyone else has ideas on which medicines work better for pain. I also suffer from depression and anxiety issues. I also have difficulty sleeping, I feel so alone, because neither my family or friends understand my problems. They think I do not really have medical problems. I appreciate if anyone replies!
681148 tn?1437661591 I would have to wonder about this. I know Lupus symptoms are real similar to fibromyalgia sx. I would encourage them to rule out Lupus which can affec the kidney in this manner.
Avatar f tn I never had pains as strong as yours but I think the real cause to Fibromyalgia is depression and bad diet. (the only 2 pilsl doctros can prescribe are antidepressants and they dont really work because you cant fix depression just with antidepressants) Do you know that women are 9 times more likely to be diagnosed with Fibromyalgia? Try exercising regularly and have a vegetable based diet. Paranoia, anxiety all exacerbate the symptoms of fibromyalgia. Try doing breathing exercises.
773755 tn?1328119777 One reason many conventional doctors do not think fibromyalgia is a “real” condition is that no specific medication is effective for treating this illness. Some medications do help lower the symptoms of fibromyalgia. These include analgesics such as Tylenol and Motrin. Some doctors will prescribe antidepressant medications, although there are many adverse effects. Anti-seizure drugs are the conventional treatment for fibromyalgia. These include Neurontin and Lyrica.
Avatar m tn ask your doctor about fibromyalgia gabapentin works real well for this problem just ask it cant hurt
4856774 tn?1360095016 Any injury can worsen fibromyalgia, so yes, a car crash can be a real set back if you have fibromyalgia. However, aches and pains can also be the direct result of an injury from car crash. So, depending on your symptoms this aspect should be investigated. If your symptoms are due to worsening of fibromyalgia only, then the treatment is a mix and match of analgesics, anti depressants, anti seizure medications, physical therapy and counseling. Please discuss with your doctor. Take care!
1522259 tn?1291211339 Hello. I am a 25 year old female that was just recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia about a month ago (early November 2010). I now believe that I have lived with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome since I was a young adolescent. After my son was born in May of '09, I had an explosion of horrible, debilitating symptoms that left me unable to function in my everyday life.
Avatar n tn Can anyone answer me...I have Fibromyalgia..Recently I have been getting a LOT of blood in my stool....Sometimes its all blood....Can Fibromyalgia cause this?...
Avatar f tn m glad these physicians are starting to come around. The research on fibromyalgia and CFS is quite clear. These conditions are very real. I believe that pathogens are the cause and have seen people with CFS, fibromyalgia and other illnesses do well on treatments that address these pathogens. Unfortunately however, these treatments make you feel worse (which also means they are working) and depending on your diagnosis and how long you've been ill... may take years.
Avatar m tn I am tired of going to doctors and paying co-pays to hear no real solution to my problem. Is there a better doctor to go to for this?? I am currently seeing a knee surgeon and pain doctor as well as my general doctor with no real solution or help. I pray that I find a way to control or manage what ever it is that I have so I can take care of my kids and live my life. Thank you taking time to read this.
