my question is could all the pain be from the vitamin d defiency or from fibromyalgia? also having shoulder pain although not everyday.
i have also contracted a cold sore(first ever) as of today july 3 2013 and have read that this can be related to hiv, i do have a friend who had a cold sore and was sharing with her about a week ago so im conflicted as it could be either ?

What can be done about the chronic Fibromyalgia pain when I am allergic to pain medicines or the pain relievers do not give relief.
I take Opana ER which is an extended release pain med and I take percocet for breakthru pain. I also take Lyrica for nerve pain, Trazadone and Flexeril at night to help with sleep and muscle spasms, and I am on Zoloft and bloodpressure meds.
I went a long time with no pain meds then to Tramadol then to Lortab, etc.... I have very high pain levels on a daily basis plus I have a high tolerance to meds so the weaker ones never worked well for me.
t really sound much like fibromyalgia pain - that pain is typically widespread and not just in one area (although certain areas can feel worse at times than other areas). It also usually affects both sides of the body pretty equally.
It sounds more like maybe a shoulder injury (have you fallen or stretched your shoulder at all? heavy lifting?) I could also be a pleuritic type pain (inflammation of the area around the lungs).
I suffer from fibromyalgia and neurophy daily. When the pain is severe I can hardly stand it. Are there any new approaches to this condition. I am taking vicoden, cymbalta, pamelor and neurotyn?
I like you had all the tests, MRIs never showed the excruiating shoulder blade pain I was living with or the bone crushing lower back pain, i have the gamut of symptoms sciatic pain, the joint stiffness, the lack of sleep, skin sensitivity, headaches, leg weakness. Let my story be a tale of caution to you as you navigate finding out what is causing your pain.
Find a doctor that will work with you to ease the pain. Find one that believes fibromyalgia is real. It is easier in this day and age to do so. A few short years ago, not so much. My doctor (a few years back) looked at me like I had a mental condition when I told him my skin hurts. Finding a shower head that didn't feel like piercing needles was a task, but finally figured that out. It is hard to explain pain.

for most people. I'm mentioning this to point out that these types of drugs
are opioid drugs, potentially habit forming narcotic drugs.
The fact that they are prescribed legally, does not make them any less
dangerous than street drugs, other than the fact that their "quality" and strength are consistent with what they claim.
