Avatar n tn I can only turn my head to the left so far and I am getting pain and it goes up behind my ear and into my head could this be coming from my fibromyalgia? I have never had it there before. Mostly elbows and knees and shoulder sometimes.
1033336 tn?1252509731 The characteristic feature of Fibromyalgia is a muscle pain mostly in neck, back, thighs, and hips. There is presence of specific tender points in these areas that trigger the pain. Along with this there is morning stiffness in the muscles, brain fog, dizziness and other neurological symptoms. Since you are suffering from pain specifically located at the joints, and it started after the flu, the pains are related to the viral infection.
Avatar f tn He never mentioned Fibromyalgia to me. In fact, nobody has. So on my own I have scoured the internet and searched inner ear pain and fibro. I saw people have experienced this and I felt hopeful that I am not alone in this. I also at times feel like I get a flare up and feel like I have sores ( you cant see them) in my mouth, primarily right sided at the moment. Or a feeling of something caught in my throat. I feel like I am losing my mind and my life over this.
Avatar n tn I think if you had the trigeminal neuralgia the stomach pain(coeliac and lactose intolerant) and the scaro iliac joint dysfunction, throat pain and ear pain . Also diagnosed fibroids and kidney cyst you may look for a link! Thinking if may all be linked by fibromyalgia anyway. Hopefully that is all.

Avatar f tn Getting a proper delta sleep has improved my muscular pain-not that I don't have the pain anymore but it is not as exruciatingly painful now. Its great to hear you have a new doctor who seems to be giving you all the right messages. I have a great relationship with my rheumatologist ever since she said to me "Look at me Mary, look at me straight into my eyes. I WANT TO TELL YOU-I KNOW YOU ARE IN PAIN!" We haven't looked back since then-almost ten years ago.
387767 tn?1345875627 I get the pain in the ear....the pain feels like its deep in the ear. It seems to run along the jawline and slighty into the head. I don't have it all the time seems to come on from no may last an hour or more and then it leaves as quickly as it appears. My reason for checking out this site is because my doctor thinks I may have Fibromygia..he put me on LYRICA to see if the pain goes away.
Avatar n tn She has experience neck pain, ear pain, face drooping and now migraines. Eyes ears doctor said it's not tmj-neck dr said it what?
Avatar f tn Hi, I have fibromyalgia and arthritis, and I get this ear pain a lot. It's very frustrating. While you should have a doctor look at it, it's possible they won't be able to tell you anything. I have been to specialists, dentists, TMJ doctors and they all tell me everything looks fine. Just wanted to let you know. I think it is more of a nerve thing, but definitely look into it.
982333 tn?1305792489 I have very severe inner ear pain in both ears followed by all over body pain from head to toe. I had bad ear infections when I was young and in my 20's. The severe ear pain started when I was over worked and became very ill. I have had the severe pain off and on for years ever since. It is like a migraine at times because light and sound do bother me. I also have allergy related asthma. Is there anything that I can do besides use pain medication to prevent such pain.
Avatar f tn I officially have a dx of fibromyalgia and B 12 deficiency, but I continue to struggle with everyday life, with pain and the sx in my mouth, ear and now throat. I do not do well on Western medicine relative to the side effects. Any suggestion where to go? Could it be neurological, cranial nerve possibly or residual gallbladder sx. Your opinion is appreciated.
175861 tn?1428186013 I have inner ear pain left ear only really. (sharp pains) the pain is unbearable but what can i do tho ? it some time isn't to bad but has never truly gone away. I dont watch tv any more no music, anything out of speaker really hurts and pisses me off and i have tinnitus also but that is nothing compared to the pain. its been over two years like this now. There is no doubt in my mind this has been cause by noise exposure.
Avatar f tn I am a 32 year old female from Delaware who was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 9 years ago.
2010625 tn?1329375656 I have been in pain for a month now, my psychiatrist put me on Gabapentin, and it does help some, but doesn't help with all of the pain all of the time. I am not diagnosed with Fibromyalgia yet, mostly because my medical doctor wanted me to go to a specialist, but can't right now due to lack of insurance. If it is not Fibromyalgia I am guessing it must be something like it....some kind of pain disorder anyways.....
Avatar n tn This could be fibromyalgia or myofascial pain syndrome. There are ways to find out if you have either one. Find a good pain clinic in your area so that they can test you. I have myofascial pain syndrome and the symptoms are very similair, if not the same as yours. I have been going to a chronic pain clinic and it has helped a whole lot. Just to mention to you that the more you worry the worse it gets.
470168 tn?1237474845 Oh, and I am on both a lupus med and a fibromyalgia med... I am taking Lyrica for the pain, which has been recently approved for fibromyalgia. It knocks a lot of pain out, but I warn you if you aren't on it... it makes you gain weight if you don't watch what you eat. As long as you keep an eye on it, though, you should only gain 5 pounds initially which generally comes off after a few weeks. I am also taking plaquenil, which is used for lupus people.
Avatar m tn Hi loops5, I'm sorry to hear you are now one of us. I was an RN when I had a car accident which started my FMS and that was 30 years ago. They called it fibrositis back then. I now also have CFS and CMP. So, in my long experience with this, I wanted to throw out a few things you may not have heard. There is sometimes a co-existing condition with FMS called Chronic Myofascia Pain (CMP). Fascia is a sort of connecting tissue that holds everything in your body in place.
Avatar f tn I have a topic called fibromyalgia: the diet connection.
192368 tn?1224207730 I am a full time college student so I do have to push through the pain just to make it across campus. I can honestly say, I don't know what a day w/out pain is like. What is bothersome to me is that the doctor ran a panel on me and said my ANA levels were extremely high and that I had SLE. But, a couple of months later he said the ANA levels were high but it didn't mean anything and that I was depressed. He went as far as putting me on some highly potent drug called Neurotin.

Avatar n tn Hello, I don’t think your symptoms are related to fibromyalgia. From your symptoms of ear pain and sore throat on one side of throat it can be due to Eustachian tube dysfunction. For each ear, a eustachian tube runs from the middle ear to the back of the throat and when this tube is blocked then it may cause fluid build up in ear and infections. You can get an examination done from an ENT specialist for these possibilities.
Avatar m tn In April, I woke up one night with sharp pain in my left ear. The next morning the left side of my head was very tender and later in the day, my left side of my face went numb. I went to the doctor, she couldn't figure anything out. The numbness went away the next day, so I did nothing else. In May, the numbness of the left side of my face came back and remains today. The severity of it changes and there is sometimes shots of pain through my left ear associated with it.
Avatar n tn I went to 3 ENT doctors, all of them said there is nothing wrong with your ear, finally I had the MRI done and there it was. The ear pain is caused by my neck problem. I even get facial tingling on the left side, which is the side that my neck and ear hurts. Take care, hope you find a solution, I know the feeling!
Avatar n tn He proposes to continue with the Pegasys and Copegus treatment which relieves pain from my fibromyalgia and cryoglobuninemia, and made up the dose of morphine to 120 mg/day. In his opinion chances are 90% that i get back hearing within seven days. What d'you think ? Which decision should you take ? BTW he is anxious because he thinks that surgery could get me blind. Thanks. By the Way the good news is that my 12 weeks PCR came back UNDETECTABLE !
Avatar f tn Stress can be physical, chemical, and emotional. In addition, fibromyalgia sufferers have very low pain tolerance and it means that they can feel the pain very easily. All I can tell you now is to look into your diet and begin to eliminate fast foods and toxic chemicals from your sytem. Also, you need to quit smoking if you want to have an effective treatment for your Fibromyalgia.
