Avatar m tn I have asthma and allergies since I was a child, but I was never allergic to those items until a few months back. Then, I had a routine blood test and found something scary, my neutrophil count was extremely low. I was feeling ok, but my doctor said I was at high risk of getting a deadly infection. However, nobody knew why I had this problem. The hematologist said I had to stop taking effexor and prozac to check if those medications were the cause of my problem.

Avatar f tn I take allergy pills because I have severe allergies even in the winter. And I am on anti-depressants. I was on celexa before, and the doctor put me on a safer Ned called Zoloft. At a lower dosage. I wouldn't be too worried about it , if you are.

Avatar m tn Hello! I have been diagnosed with severe fibromyalgia, essential tremors, arthritis in the middle of my back and lower back spinal stynosis. I am now feeling like my head is swimming and I get unbalanced VERY easily. I have checked my blood to see if I am low in sugars, but it always comes out in the 90's which are normal levels. However, if I eat something I find things get better. I have tried to eat small meals throughout the day, but I am not getting better.

Avatar f tn Such as migraines, thyroid issues, food allergies/sensitivities, drug( medication) sensitivities/allergies,depression and many others that all seem to be common to people with fibromyalgia I'm sorry this is so long but it is a complicated issue. I've done years of research on it and talked to many health care personnel. I could go on with more information if you or your parents are interested.

Avatar f tn I have had Fibromyalgia & Chronic Fatigue Immunodysfunction for 20 years. For me a 60 to 80 mg of Depo-Medrol (steroid) does help. (up to 2 times per year and only when I am REALLY bad.) I've heard that Lyrica is very good for fibro. patients but I personally cannot take it as I get the bad side affects. He also had me do a SLEEP STUDY 2 months ago. I have mild sleep apnea & now use a C-Pap at night which I love.

Avatar n tn Lyrica is approved to treat Fibromyalgia in the US. If you have Fibromyalgia and Arthritis you may need to take more than one medication, but like I mentioned before, this is something you really should discuss with your doctor to make sure you are treating your illness the best way. How long have you had this condition for?
939964 tn?1288017024 I was waiting anxiously when I heard this medication was very helpful for fibromyalgia patients, and coming to Canada. To my dismay I had all the side effects mentioned for this medication and was told by my doctor to stop taking it. Like Doctor Rajgopal mentioned about medications, I was given amitriptyline which helps me have a good night sleep and I feel more refreshed when I wake up.
Avatar f tn I cannot recommend a medication for you but will tell you that the so-called non-sedating antihistamines are generally deemed to be safe, especially at your stage of pregnancy , bordering on the third trimester. You should definitely pose this question to your obstetrician, before you take any medication, prescription or over the counter.
1130095 tn?1267369259 Ask your doctor about Topamax. I had daily headaches for years and this is the only thing that has helped. What most likely is happening is your pain is causing the headaches but the pills or some of the pills your taking are causing "rebound headaches" a lot of pain medications do that. I didn't know that for years and I was suffering. Diclofenac comes in a topical form, if that helps see if the doctor will give it to you that way.
