Fibromyalgia leg rashes

Common Questions and Answers about Fibromyalgia leg rashes

Avatar n tn I have heard that fibromyalgia can affect the skin. I've been dealing with chronic rashes that appear for no apparent reason. I was discussing these symptoms with a friend who suggested that I see a doctor to determine if it's possibly fibromyalgi that is causing my pain. What do you think?
Avatar f tn I'm 31 and after 6 long years of chronic problems unexplained I have finally been diagnoised with Fibromyalgia and Lymphdema. Sorry about spelling. Anyway I was wondering if anyone out there has had either one and if so what kind of treatment may have work for you. They say both conditions are chronic and there is no known cure for either.
Avatar n tn Do you have pain anywhere else, like in your legs or hips? Have you had any rashes that look like small red blisters, especially around your mid-section or on your face? Shingles blisters are very itchy, too. The face sunburn feeling could be post-shingles neuralgia. Shingles is common when we get older as it's actually the old chicken pox virus hiding out in our nerves that gets activated when our immune system is low. Have you been sick more than usual this past year?
Avatar f tn Do you experience panic attacks? Certainly fibromyalgia can cause the other symptoms you mention. It sounds like all of the other testing you've had doesn't bring any more serious forms of illness, so that's a good thing. I feel that you would do well speaking with a rheumatologist, as they have more knowledge of fibro and it's diagnosis. God bless and keep you.
773755 tn?1328123377 Hey acker, I love ya too sweetie. Listen, have you ever heard of the Buteyco breathing technique? It might be worth looking into it for your loss of voice and other issues. It is wonderful for so many things. I have studied this online and I'm planning to take the instructor's course in 2014, as I want to teach this to my my little nephew back in Greece who has asthma, a good friend who has bronchitis and asthma and anyone else who can benefit from it.

Avatar n tn no numbness or anything on the back of my leg. While the leg is numb, it still gets itcy and it is very irritating to scratch it. If I stand or walk for too long, the burning sensation comes into play, and I have to sit down, because it also hurts my lower back, makes my back feel like it will break if I don't sit down. This has been going on for 23 years! And not one doctor can tell me what is wrong...
Avatar f tn I have so many symptoms that don't seem to fit my "fibromyalgia" diagnosis. Anyone share any of these same symptoms?: - sensation of warm water going down leg or foot? - electrical type buzzing going down legs - numbness in face, mouth, feet, legs, hands, fingers - uncontrolled movements ("they move on their own") - arms, fingers, legs, shoulders - twitching I'm just not sure if the drs are missing something. Thanks for your help!
Avatar m tn I was given oral steroids for 15 days days along with vitamin B-12 injections for 10 days. I took them regularly. I found my appetite got increased and i got red rashes all over my body but my pain didnt get better in 1 week time. Then I went to see a neurologist. He suggested me to stop taking steroids by reducing the dosage. A complete blood test along with urine test was done.It was normal. Then MRI and Nerve conduction tests were done. Everything came out to be normal.
Avatar n tn I started calendaring his fevers and they now occur every two weeks- like clockwork. His fevers are occassionally accompnaied by leg pain and stomach pain. During the few days before his fever he is extremely fatigued- tired enough that he falls asleep sitting up. A CBC was done and indicated that he was anemic (his H&H was ~10 and ~30). Two weeks later, his H&H was normal.
230625 tn?1216764664 What type of leg/arm weakness do you experience? I have heard many experience more of a muscle fatigue where their leg or arm feels like it is weighed down with cement. My weakness is more of a "shakiness" or where my legs feel like jello or wobbly. They do not feel "heavy". Actually, there are times where my whole body feels like it's shaking, but it's only visible in my hands. Is there different types of weakness in MS or do you experience different types?
Avatar n tn For the past 2 days I have a very slight heat sensation in my lower left leg (no other problems). Is this some thing I should be concerned about now, or wait for my drs. appt in a few weeks?

Avatar f tn I was run over when I was 15 (14 years ago), after being struck by a car (so traumatic I don't know where exactly, but my suspicion is my right hip, leg area somewhere; it was a sedan) and was shocked once approximately 8 years ago by my mother's old vitiligo lamp she sold me to tan with (never mentioned the last one to a doc so far), and I have fallen on my bad right side many times.

Avatar n tn I got sick 2 weeks ago and can't seem to get the stuffiness to go away, I've been getting bloated a lot not just during that time of the month, the past week I've been getting light cramps that feel like they could be gas/stomach or menstrual. The last straw was that my underwear caused a raw spot on my leg that I've been taking care of, I wake up this morning and it looks like a rash. There are little bumps on my leg besides the spot that was rubbed. What the heck is wrong with me?!
1063463 tn?1302278219 Also, I have leg pain, leg weakness(feels like my legs weigh 1000 pounds each), extreme fatigue, crippling vertigo(feels like I am on a boat), and a 10 month history of uveitis. Now, just recently, I went outside sat in sun. I was wearing blue jeans but I had a tshirt on. My arms broke out in a rash. I thought maybe my lotion....but my friend said wouldnt the rash be everywhere if it was lotion? So my question to you is can the ana change and can you have lupus with a negative ana?
Avatar n tn Ok sorry first of all for the long post I am just looking for answers cause I am really frustrated right now. 168348 tn?1379360675 She has many of the classic signs of lupus, including rashes, sores in her mouth, joint pain, leg pain, light sensitivity, fatigue etc... She also has arthritis. What concerns me (in addition to worrying about my miserable mother) is that i have the same exact reaction to red wine. literally only 1 sip can make my face break out. I've never been on a sulfa medication and hope to avoid it, since it was that severe reaction that started all of her other problems.
Avatar n tn I get blisters on my butt that seem to be following a nerve and causing lower back pain and nerve pain that runs down my leg. I get this every month before or during my menstrual cycle.

Avatar f tn Ever since I was small I've got sinus and easy to get headaches, I'm very clumsy and very easy to trip and twist my leg or fall down and hit my head. Two years ago, many times pain in my left foot when I'm walking in any sort of shoes, the pain will come and go. Beginning of this year, my foot started hurt badly so I went to the doctors and took a normal X-ray, and there was a small fracture in my toe of my left foot.
Avatar f tn DIAGNOSED this means a doctor I have a Neurologist who DIAGNOSED my Fibromyalgia, Restless Leg, RSD. My doctors know me, not a whining person who is in their office to waste either my time or theirs. IF I AM IN THEIR OFFICE I AM IN PAIN OR SICK. Preconceived no, just the facts to get results.
Avatar f tn I was misdiagnosed with fibromyalgia, IBS, put on klonopin for restless leg, told I had MS, Lupus, hoshimotos. It won't hurt to take your tonsils out but you will remain swollen if you have Bart's. You should contact ILADS dot Org and ask for a Lyme literate doctor, LLMD for short. You can also google Lyme doctor and the city you live in. The LLMD will use IgenX labs which will give you the best results. Most LLMD will treat you first based on your symptoms before you get blood tests back.

Avatar f tn My health issues consisted of rib pain, muscle pain, neck pain, arm pain, hand pain, feet pain, lower back pain, leg pain, fatigue, headaches, migraines, eye pain, numbness on my face, memory issues, restless leg syndrome, insomnia, feeling wired and tired, digestive issues, problems with the liver, abdominal pain and many more. I also had other issues like inflammation of the eyes causing dry eyes and I would get frequent bladder infections along with frequent vaginal infections.
Avatar f tn Getting the bloodwork is best, and can sometimes pinpoint or tell them which auto-immune illnesses this could be. You definately need a full Lupus profile doing. Also you mention leg swelling , and rashes, and miscarriage. and a purpuric rash, the ones which look like blood blisters. For this you also need testing for APS, being Antiphospolipid Syndrome. This is two simple bloodtests, being LA= Lupus anticoagulant. and ACL= Anticardiolipin antibodies.
