Now i just started having those same symptoms in my rifht side.
Avatar n tn I have Fibromyalgia and also have been experiencing noticable tender lumps on my ribs w/ extreme acid reflux/indegestion burning pain, severe abdominal/back/leg pain and now severe migranes. I'm not sure if this is just how this illness goes or if we are a couple of the really unlucky ones. I've had almost every test out there and there's one thing I can recommend, get a thoracic MRI- they will require x-rays first however.
1550149 tn?1340004330 In primary fibromyalgia (also called idiopathic fibromyalgia) the causes are not known, and in secondary fibromyalgia the causes can be identified. Primary fibromyalgia is the more common form. Many experts believe that fibromyalgia is not a disease but rather a chronic pain condition brought on by a constellation of dysfunctional biologic responses to stress. Such individuals are thought to be more susceptible to stress because of traumatic personal histories, genetic factors, or both.
Avatar n tn (2nd posting sorry I posted in the wrong spot at first) I don't know if I have fibromyalgia so maybe you can all offer some advice. I am 36 year old female. About 8 weeks ago I noticed my left arm was difficult to drive with and it really struck me as beign strange. It felt heavy. I thought it felt weak but looking back 'heavy' is a more accurate term. I went to my dr. who sent me to a neuro. By the time I saw the neuro I was conviced that I had ALS. Convinced.
Avatar f tn Ischemia: Cause of Fibromyalgia Pain? Saturday April 18, 2009 Did you know that some fibromyalgia (FMS) pain may be caused by low blood flow to our muscles? The medical name for that is ischemia (ih-SKEE-mee-ah). We've had some limited evidence of ischemia in FMS for a few years, and it's an area that researchers are pursuing.
Avatar f tn The issue that comes up is when my husband and I are intimate it causes me severe pain. We have tried different positions and techniques and they all cause some form of increase in pain.I will probably be in pain for the rest of my life and as much as I love my husband I dread intimacy. Sometimes I feel like if he truely loved me he wouldnt be willing to hurt me. I realize when we entered this marriage that this wasnt in the plans and it was very often and very good.
Avatar f tn every test he took it came back normal. I thought when u have FM u would have pain on both sides of the body for instance..
Avatar n tn In the last 2 years I have had constant aching pain in my legs and feet and this pain affects my sleep and daily life. The pain is constant often worsening at night and when I awaken in the mornings. I have had a complete MRI of my spine with no major problems identified. I have given up smoking 6mnths ago. What could be the cause? I am at my wits end as the GP is no help in diagnosing the problem. Any suggestions would be welcomed.
Avatar f tn In that case, some such causes are Myofascial pain syndrome (MPS), Fibromyalgia, Paget’s disease of bone, bone pain due to chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML), benign tumors, certain viral infections (chickungunya virus in Asian countries), etc.
Avatar f tn you had commented on my post "lumps and pain unknown causes" well i just got the results back from my unltra sound and they said there isn't any masses or cysts and now i have to get an mri and they also did more blood work and now my white blood count is low and my potassium is also low but isnt low enough to cause a worry, they are at loss they have no idea what is going on with me, where is dr. 675786 tn?1330957844 I have been tested twice in the past 6+ months and both times my ANA was positive but only lightly positive, the first blood test I had a high rate of inflimation the second was much lower. The past few days my leg pain has been very bad and so has the fatigue. The only thing that I am on for my pain is muscle relaxers and they do not seem to do anything. I have just in the past 2weeks started having muscle spasums, mostly in my legs but a few times in my face and arms.
Avatar f tn I've been getting hip and leg pain in bed, too. I have transverse myelitis with a couple of cervical lesions, plus a herniated disc in my thoracic, but not dx with MS as of yet. I had been sleeping on one of those big wedge pillows, and removing it seemed to help my hips. Last night, I couldn't get comfortable on either side, so I removed my second pillow and tried just one. It helped a tiny bit.
Avatar m tn I have had muscle aches and tenderness for as long as I can remember mostly in my back and hips but I do get leg aches and pains as well sometimes. Touching certain areas in my back and hips produces pain I can't tolerate. I have frequent headaches/migraines and have been having constant pain in my right side/back since March. My regular doctor's have tested my gallbladder and tests are fine. I have to go in for a scope to check for ulcers.
Avatar f tn My sister has benign bone tumors on her pelvis which causes severe bouts of pain. Perhaps I have the same thing? It is hard to tell, because I am also afflicted with fatigue and body aches and she is not. I have had several ct scans recently, but nothing has turned up. Perhaps I should get a bone scan? If anybody has any advice, please let me know.
Avatar n tn I have a similar problem with awful pain in my right leg leading right up to my bum. It's so bad I'm in tears with pain sometimes. I also get bad mood swings and exhaustion - am trying the pill for these symptons, has anyone found this worked?
563582 tn?1217745983 I notice that since I have been diagnosed with herpes my other pain (we don't know what it is yet but fibromyalgia and lupus are on the table right now) really started to increase. And it's not just the pain normally associated with herpes ( pian down the backs of the legs and swolen glands), it is all of my symptoms seemed to have increased since then.
Avatar f tn Major confusion Virtually no short term memory burning/electric pain down back and in left arm and leg (I've don't the 240 shuffle before and it's pretty darn close) on/off tremors (some mild some body wracking) numbness in the face (mostly just the nose and upper lip) horrible fatigue in the afternoon I fall asleep no matter what (not the drained feeling I used to be) chest tight pain that makes it nearly unable to breath major constipation/bladder issues in addition to the pain, headaches,
Avatar f tn Hi, I am Jana! Hope you are feeling well Today! I also Suffer from Fibromyalgia & a Whole Slew of Other Medical Problems as you can see from my Profile! I believe all my Medical Issues are somehow related b/c before the age of 26 I was Never Sick! They all just Started Coming One after the Other! I think Fibromyalgia is Probably the Most Painful of All, in my Opinion! That & the Fact that I have Several Herniated & Bulging Discs is enough to make One Go Crazy! The Dr.
Avatar m tn For the last few months I have had near constant tingling in my shoulders, my forearms hurt and some leg weakness When I workout or go to the driving range the day after my arms feel very fatigued and I feel a bit out of it. I am unable to sleep either because I am worrying about this or this is part of the disease process. More to the story, I recently tested positive for hsv1 and hsv2. I was only tested because I was dating someone that was hsv2 positive.
Avatar n tn I did no testing because I could still function in normal life but I had to stop jogging because of severe pain on my inner ankles (post-tibial tendonitis). My right nevicular bone fractured and it feels better(not treated for the fx). My left one is still very painful but not all the time. I now have more S/S of fibro: some fatigue, most every tener spot, IBS (dx as Chronn's in 2000), dry eyes, weird skin sensations and numbness and tingling in the bottom of my feet.
Avatar f tn Many of these have overlapping symptoms. These include gluten intolerance, gout (a form of arthritis), and restless leg syndrome. Some drs believe food sensitivity itself could sometimes be responsible for some of the pain and fatigue of FM. Seven foods to avoid: 1. Aspartame (nutraSweet) 2. Food additives including MSG (momosodium glutamine) and nitrates, 3. Sugar, fructose, and simple carbohydrates, 4. Caffeine, 5. Yeast and gluten, 6. Dairy, 7. Nightshade plants. Hope it helps.
Avatar f tn Excuse my poor grammar. I think it is the brain-fog and I also just woke up !
572651 tn?1531002957 The paper is quite detailed and recommends that every MS patient be evaluated for spasticity, whether we complain to our neurologist or not. Here is a list of spasticity causes that they reference - a couple of them really caught my attention. Be sure to look at your antidepressants if you are on one - the serontonin uptake inhibitors (I hope I got thatright) are on the no-no list.
230948 tn?1235847929 I get alot of nerve pain with my fibro and with most illness like MS etc there is evidence for this with lesion seen in brain and spine so what causes the fibro nerve pain i can be in agony for a day or mths and then suddenly it goes and they can never find anything on the mri, do you think in time they will find a mri stronger enough to pick up these differences? is the hyper sensitivity where i cant bare to be touched a type of nerve pain too?
Avatar m tn Usually starts within a half hour of waking up and continues on/off during the day, localized to that spot on the left side, usually branches off from there, rarely travels to the right side of my head. The arm and leg pains are back. The leg pain has been bothering me the most over the last few days, localized to the ankle area at the top of the left foot and travels across the top of my left foot down to my second toe.
Avatar f tn The leg pain has pretty much went away but the chest pain persists so the leg pain was obviously not related. The chest pain has been going on for so long now that I guess in some ways I'm getting used to it but it is still really frightening for me. It is really affecting my quality of life and making every day miserable. I'm scared to be alone because I'm afraid I will have a heart attack and not be able to call for help.
Avatar n tn I've had every blood test and **** test for almost everything possible...I was finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia due to my intense, widespread pain when the doc ran out of testing when I was 18.
Avatar n tn I have head, neck, back and leg pain. On any given day the symptoms are different with neck and stomach hurting, the next changes. What are they doing for your mom and how long has she been diagnosed?
Avatar f tn The fibromyalgia patients' claims of greater pain were proven true by the MRI pictures. "The majority of the scientific community that studies pain didn't find this to be a revelation," he said. "This was an incremental step that corroborated a lot of things that had previously indicated abnormalities in people with fibromyalgia." There's more evidence that something's amok in the pain systems of people with fibromyalgia.
