I would recommend following up with you doctor. I was misdiagnosed with fibromyalgia and now the doctors know I have a neurological condition they just do not have a name for it. Let's hope it's fibromyalgia. As I know all too well doctors love to throw the fibromyalgia diagnosis around. Dr Noopur frequently tells people on this site they probably have fibromyalgia when there symptoms are very concerning and sound a lot more serious than fibro. Have you considered Lyme disease?
Fibromyalgia is widespread pain throuout the entire body,it actually hurts to be touched.Maybe a possible pinched nerve or sciatica?
Please if someone can help, I regularly have chronic pain in all parts of my body since I have 4 bulge discs on my cervical and lumbar, scoliosis,stenosis,fibromyalgia, multiple spasms on my cervical and sciatica I also have fibromyalgia and a Chianti malformation.
2 weeks ago I snapped over on my left ankle - foot fell inward. My ankle felt very sore on both sides but soon subsided. I continued to walk long distance and run on a slightly sprained ankle. I now have fluctuating pain in ankle & calf, discomfort and swelling of most of my left leg below the knee. Most days the swelling feels as if I'm wearing a tight long sock on the left leg.
that is also around the time that these strange vibrations started in my legs and I was told by the doctor that is was restless leg syndrome, but it doesn't seem the same. I don't have an overwhelming urge to move my legs they just vibrate and I want it to stop.
Since then it has gotten much worse and has spread.
Before I go any further I do want to say I do not do drugs or alcohol. I take a low dose of xanex for nerves during the day and to help me sleep at night.
I have had fibromyalgia for 10 years. This past August of 06 I filed for short term disabilty, then when to long term disabilty. For the last year and a half I have been having a lot of issues with the fibromyalgia. Back in August of 07 I started stumping, loosing my balance and falling. Back in October I fell and broke my right leg. My question is loosing your balace, falling, etc. part of the fibromyalgia.
What does fibromyalgia feel like? I am having weird pains in my skin and bones and I'm trying to find out if that is what's happening to me. It is random grapefruit sized sections of skin that ache so bad and are very sensitive to touch and temperature. Sometimes it is a shooting pain through my bone combined with the skin sensitivity, but usually it is just a constant dull ache. Sometimes it is in my hand, like it is right now. Sometimes it is in my leg or my ribs or anywhere.
Sometimes repetitive injuries or strain can also produce these symptoms. A disorder called fibromyalgia can produce these symptoms (tenderness). Please consult your primary care physician who will carry out blood tests and x rays to rule out these conditions. In the meantime you can take OTC pain medication Ibuprofen. Ensure to take this medication after food to avoid gastritis.

I suffer deep muscle pain in my left leg. First the pain began behind
the knee and calf muscle now it's my thigh. It was so bad last night
I screamed from the pain and my daughter wanted to call 911. It
lasted a longer time it was like a huge charley horse in my thigh.
And after walking about it finally stopped but was still sore. Today
it isn't like that intense pain but still hurts. I am a type II diabetic
who works at exercising and my daughter thinks that maybe I over
did it.
in starting it was in last three fingers now its in thumb. i feel pain starting from neck and to right arm, back, leg. sometime i feel numbness in right side of my head. this pain is deadly. and there is something like swelling at various part of body like neck,shoulder , back, leg, foot also. i was gone through TB treatment and Hepatitis-B treatment but now its more then one year.. i just want to no what iam suffering through.. is it some serious disease?
Hi I am 45 years old and I am having leg pain and also lower back pain that radiates down into my groin and hips. I have had and CT scan that the doctor said was normal. Can you please tell me what may be going on. The tops of my legs hurt more that the bottom.
For the last few months I have had near constant tingling in my shoulders, my forearms hurt and some leg weakness When I workout or go to the driving range the day after my arms feel very fatigued and I feel a bit out of it. I am unable to sleep either because I am worrying about this or this is part of the disease process. More to the story, I recently tested positive for hsv1 and hsv2. I was only tested because I was dating someone that was hsv2 positive.
I'm new here and I haven't had a fibromyalgia diagnosis, but I have had muscle twitching all over (mostly in my legs) and that has died down quite a bit, but I've have tired muscles and I have been so tired. I get tender spots that hurt for no reason to the touch. This past Saturday I went dancing and almost didn't make it through the first song, my legs started to hurt so bad. I woke up the next morning and it felt like someone had beat my legs with a baseball bat.
My doctors has referred me to a rheumotolgist and suspects this could be my diagnosis. One thing that boggles his mind is that my leg pain is not present on a good day until I am lying down for more than 30 minutes then horrible aching begins. My sed rate is also high but RA and Lupus test came back negative. Doew this sound like arthritus or fibromyalgia?

I would have to hold one leg while he checked them and he would get clear out of the way. But then it started happening when I was at gymnastics and when the girls would jump over something my leg would kick, I take Klonopin(clonazepam), if I forget or just get tired of taking so much medication the kicking will start back up, 2 nights ago I was watching a moving and a guy was being chased and running and jumping and my leg just kept jerking so hard.
