996946 tn?1503252712 Is it possible for fibromyalgia to "settle" in your knees? Over the last 10-15 yrs I first had severe elbow pain, thought it was from carrying my purse and heavy shopping bags, then my pain gradually moved to my feet "ie." plantar fasciatis, had cortisone injections in feet and before that in elbows. Could the pain, dull ache, in any position be caused by sciatic nerve pressure or arthritis or fibromyalgia? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar n tn I can only turn my head to the left so far and I am getting pain and it goes up behind my ear and into my head could this be coming from my fibromyalgia? I have never had it there before. Mostly elbows and knees and shoulder sometimes.

Avatar n tn I have had fibromyalgia for 10 years. This past August of 06 I filed for short term disabilty, then when to long term disabilty. For the last year and a half I have been having a lot of issues with the fibromyalgia. Back in August of 07 I started stumping, loosing my balance and falling. Back in October I fell and broke my right leg. My question is loosing your balace, falling, etc. part of the fibromyalgia.
Avatar n tn I have fibromyalgia and was finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia after many years of suffering with severe pain. I still have pain all the time. It is hard to get of bed some days.
Avatar f tn I've been struggling with health issues for a year now, that started off with a suspected duodenal ulcer. I was very ill with that, then my father was hospitalized with severe illness. This was quite a traumatic event for me, and since then I've had a lot of health issues.
Avatar n tn It is making the pain level unbearable I am unable to walk two days after the treatment. Getting steroids in both knees this week for my arthritis. I am at the end of my rope.
Avatar f tn My knees joints are very painful. My doctors has referred me to a rheumotolgist and suspects this could be my diagnosis. One thing that boggles his mind is that my leg pain is not present on a good day until I am lying down for more than 30 minutes then horrible aching begins. My sed rate is also high but RA and Lupus test came back negative. Doew this sound like arthritus or fibromyalgia?
1033336 tn?1252509731 Following then onwards, I have experince pain trobbing at the back, in between the joint of knees, in between the hip joint, upper and lower both of the legs, at the joints of the arms, in between fingers, at the palm of hands and feet. Avatar n tn I have RLS, neuropathy, fibromyalga, some disc problems and a little arthritis but I have managed very well. In the last three months I have become increasingly fatigued, have swollen legs and knees. I have severe aching all over my body but particularly my legs. My legs just "don't work". .What is wrong/ Could I be having a reaction to some drug--requip maybe?
Avatar n tn I do have very swollen and painfull knees as well. This cold knees thing is new though and only adds to the stiffness and pain in my knees.. Hot tub or heating pad is only a temporary comfort. I am due to go back to my doctor in January and will ask him about the cold knees then.
Avatar f tn I have tender points ALL over my body. My Dr says it's not Fibromyalgia. The spots don't hurt unless they're pressed on, then they feel like bruises (but nothing is there) My tinder points don't match the Fibromyalgia points, and I have about10 times the number of spots that are on the picture. Also from knees down almost ALL of the muscles hurt to touch, not just spots) There's no rash or fever that I'm aware of. This has been going on for years. Any thoughts????
Avatar n tn (2nd posting sorry I posted in the wrong spot at first) I don't know if I have fibromyalgia so maybe you can all offer some advice. I am 36 year old female. About 8 weeks ago I noticed my left arm was difficult to drive with and it really struck me as beign strange. It felt heavy. I thought it felt weak but looking back 'heavy' is a more accurate term. I went to my dr. who sent me to a neuro. By the time I saw the neuro I was conviced that I had ALS. Convinced.
Avatar f tn I also have pain (some days worse than others) in my knees, hips, lower back, elbows, shoulders and neck. My neck creates a grating sound when I turn my head back and forth. I take a 300 mg. Tylenol 3, not more than twice a day when pain is really bad. I do have a problem with my left eye...pain above the eye, frequent tearing..diagnosed with blepheritis, roseacea, and the start of glaucoma. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
709619 tn?1230165075 Do people with fibromyalgia experience attacks similar to MS that last for a week or so and then subside with more mild symptoms, or is it a chronic condition? And are the painful areas always sensitive to touch? I've been dealing with something that feels neurological in nature and I'm working with my neurologist on eliminating certain conditions. I have thus far eliminated two conditions that resemble the symptoms I've been dealing with i.e., ALS and B12 deficiency.
975514 tn?1325001538 I think I have been misdiagnosed with Fibromyalgia. And I feel as though I am getting weaker and weaker lately. I need some opinions from the group because my doctor doesn't seem to want to help me. First, I have a strong family history of autoimmune disease including RA, Reactive Arthritis (my father), thyroid and diabetes. I have been diagnosed with DDD, degenerative facet disease, and facet osteoarthritis.
4861077 tn?1360159739 Hi all just a quick question I have just been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and live with pain everyday. Avatar n tn Since I've had Fibromyalgia, I have constant bursitis in my greater trocanter (hip bursa) as well as a constant inflammation of my SI joints. I receive shots in my hips every few months, sometimes monthly. I do the exercises given to me by my DO, however, I have only short term relief from the shots. I apply ice. I still have the bursitis and it won't go away. I never had any hip injuries prior or since to cause bursitis. Does anyone else have recurrent bursitis with their Fibromyalgia?
977308 tn?1248237808 I am wondering if I have fibromyalgia or lupus or something. Lately my body has been in a lot of pain. I am having majior pain all over my body, tired all the time, bowel problems, dizzy. Today I got little red dots all over my knees. I so tired of not feeling well.
Avatar f tn Can fibromyalgia cause stinging legs or other areas of the body? I have it in my legs on and off thru the day Excercise does seem to help!
Avatar f tn Since then, I have had loose yellow bowel movements, chronic pain in my abdomen, shoulders, knees, feet and hands. Cymbalta helped but caused constipation. With that being said and the research I have done, my question is: Is it possible that I have fibromyalgia? and Is fibromyaligia caused by a mental disorder such as anxiety or depression?
1770280 tn?1314588560 All that to say, either I've 'out grown' the FMS or I am so used to it that I'm unaware how much I hurt. I have arthritis in my neck, back, hip and knees and bone-on-bone in my knees ... so I may have FMS pain which is secondary to the rest of my aches. I still get around, do my stretching exercises, walk my dog, kayak and generally make a nuisance out of myself online ... Twitter mostly about politics and FaceBook with family and close friends.
Avatar f tn I also had extreme hyper reflex and sensitivity to light sounds and light touches, would cause me to jerk. My knees did not need a hammer just knowing the Dr. was heading to the drawer where it was, my lefts would not hold still. I would have to hold one leg while he checked them and he would get clear out of the way.
Avatar f tn For a very long time now I've had pain that feels deep in the muscles of my upper back and shoulders. I've always kinda thought that either something is out or I'm just tense. The past few months the pain is worse and has spread to other parts of my body.
Avatar n tn I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia by some doctors and Arthritis by other doctors. I have the symptoms of arthritis, swollen fingers, neck & back pain, hip pain etc....in other words...what doesn't hurt? I'm not into taking a lot of drugs. As of now I take Advil, seems to work the best. My body just aches all over, some days are worse than others. Any advice on natural cures?
Avatar n tn I doubt it will change all this since I can trace some of the pain (knees and hips) back for years.
Avatar n tn I have had increasing pain in my joints and stiffness along with sleeplessness and all the other symptoms of Fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed just this week with it after my Pediatricians put all the symptoms together over the past yr or so. I am double jointed and this to causes me pain mostly in my feet, knees, ankles, elbows, wrists and neck. Could long exposure to these molds and spores cause this?
Avatar f tn Yes, your symptoms could be caused by fibromyalgia, but if they were, you would also have sensitivity and pain at specific pressure points. Migratory joint pain that starts in the knees sure sounds a lot like Lyme Disease. Doctors who treat a lot of Lyme estimate that 30-50% of people with Lyme test false negative on the standard blood tests, which means that you haven't eliminated it yet.
