fibromyalgia

Avatar n tn Elliot Kopp, in Raleigh. I am just not sure who to go to, can you help with that? Also have Osteoarthritis in my knee & shoulder, want to find a Dr. who uses SYNVISC as a treatment, I have read about, and sent for information kit, but misplaced the list of doctor's. I have a Doctor, an Orthopaedic, in Raleigh, NC. I need to call & see if he uses SNYVISC as a treatment injection. So far I have been injected with steroid/cort. and it hasn't worked well for me.
Avatar f tn Hello and welcome, If I were you I would check out the National Fibromyalgia Association's website. They let you browse a list of providers by state if you register with them. Registration is free. The providers are friendly to our illness. The address is: http://www.fmaware.org I hope this helps you. Good luck!
Avatar f tn Go to www.Rheumatology.org and click on find a member in the upper right corner it will give you a state by state listing of rheumatologists who are members and board certified/practicing with adult or pediatric patients. I looked and there are rheumys in both the cary and raleigh region with more in raleigh.Hope this helps. You do need a rheumy as the doc who "undiagnosed" you should be aware that the ANA can and does fluctuate and will often go dormant.
755322 tn?1330272714 Started out with a new personal trainer who is an exercise physiologist as well as a yoga and pilates teacher! She is very familiar with rehabing fibromyalgia patients and understands my imbalances from the MS. I love her to death! We will adjust my exercise routines to build up weak muscles and alter as the pain moves around. Main goal is to straighten my pelvis and strengthen my core and upper back muscles and open the chest.
Avatar m tn But everyone is different. I wish you the very best! I live in Raleigh NC and my doctor quit his practice without giving referrals and medication scripts!! I haven't found a doctor yet and it's been months! Take Care!
Avatar n tn I am so desperate and depressed. I live in Cary, NC right out Raleigh and it is the worst! The weather here is so bi-polar and humid. It rains everyother day.
Avatar f tn ) ILADS mentioned that the nearest LLMD to me was located in Raleigh, NC. I think I found the doctor they were referencing. He charges $700-something for the initial visit, so if those are the rates most LLMDs typically charge, then seeing one is definitely out of the picture for me; that's half of what I have in my bank account. So I guess my only real option at the moment is the herbal route...if I even have Lyme at all, who knows.
243614 tn?1266201137 i'm just outside of raleigh. and no, they still use ect (aka shock therapy) but not in rehabs and usually only as a last resort to treat the worst cases of drug resistant depression. i would be careful trying to taper any meds right now, there is a good chance you may still require something like ambien but ya, someone else dispensing those too wouldn't hurt. if you can get by on a little less, try it, and if not you will just need to wait.
748543 tn?1463449675 One of the most difficult concepts to get across to my TMD patients and other doctors is the connectivity of the Jaw and the Neck. In fact, it is my strong belief that TMD/TMJ should really be classified as a Craniocervical Disease and hence fall under the umbrella of medical coverage rather than treated strictly as a dental problem. To the Neuromuscular-minded dentist, "Occlusion" is an extension of general Postural Consideration.
Avatar n tn I think the best way to go to a doctor. I lost my 18 kg in 4 month. Thanks to physical educations!
Avatar n tn Why does walking on it set off what I am calling extreme inflammation feeling along with achiness? If you find someone in the Raleigh/Durham NC area who helps you please let me know. I'm thinking of going to my pain mgmt. doctor. I've not had to see her in 2 yrs, my back pain has been monitored by my primary care MD.
Avatar n tn I have had md's tell me I have arthritis, fibromyalgia, lupus, and bursidus, what is going on,I need help.I am in pain most every day and anti-inflamatory meds help little.
Avatar n tn I would like to start the hcg shots soon. I live in NJ and I can't find a clinic in this state. There are a couple of questions I have. 1. On what website can I buy the hcg from? 2. Are most people following a 500 or 800 vlcd? 3. Are dieters washing their hair? Please answer "yes". 4. What are some of the menu options? I've read the Simeon's manuscript already.
Avatar n tn For some reason the last time I had it done they allowed me to have the head of my bed elevated just a few degrees (there's a limit) and it made all the difference in the world. I did have some bruising and tenderness in the groin area, some fatigue for a couple of days but I was functional around home - not bed-ridden. You're not supposed to lift anything heavy for a short period of time but all in all it wasn't a big deal. Anything specific you're wondering or worrying about?
Avatar n tn So, I decided to do some research and came across many forums. This one in particular seems really informative. I found a place in Greensboro, NC called The Bariatric Clinic. They charge $120 to start the plan, then it is $60 a month thereafter. They give you a shot your first visit then you have to pick up the perscription a couple days later. The monthly fee includes monitoring and a shot. You can get more for $10 each. I made my first appointment for May 7th.
Avatar n tn Was wondering how you are making out i have the same exact symtoms for over 4 years i just had X-rays of my sinus they found systs in my sinus i am goint to see another ent that is a specialist in this field to see what they are going to do.
