1032715 tn?1315984234 The central Queensland centres of Rockhampton and Emerald, recovering from near record floods in January, are facing further inundation in the days after the cyclone. Ms Bligh, who will attend a meeting of the state's disaster management authority on Tuesday morning, said authorities were ready to handle another major climatic event in Queensland following devastating summer floods. "We are not battle weary, we're battle ready," she said.
Avatar f tn I am very much thinking of everyone in Queensland and especially my precious family - my brother, his wife and their three small children. It sounds really terrifying and we shall be watching the news praying that it is not as catastophic as predicted. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone facing this danger.

Avatar m tn I have been reading not only the community forum but the expert forum and I keep reading that a 4 week test is 90% accurate and I was wondering would this be the same for Australia (Queensland) as it is in the USA. I went to this doctor as I have been sweating at night and asked him what do they call night sweats and how much do you have to sweat for it to be called night sweats he was not very helpful.
Avatar f tn Theyre my first babies!
Avatar m tn so this confirms the hypotesis about vitamin d as a general immune modulator for viral/bacterial infections but probably only at stable levels 150-160ng/ml because of resistance to vit d in chronic infections http://www.msaustralia.org.
Avatar m tn Tinnitus means an abnormal noise in the ear. Tinnitus sounds can include ringing, hissing, whistling, roaring, chirping, or screeching. My mother was suffering badly from tinnitus and by sheer luck she found relief with vitamin E supplements of all things. We decided to try vitamin E for better selenium absorption (for lowering TPO antibodies). I bought a bottle of Blackmore's vitamin E 1000IU from Woolworths. Cost about $8 on special at the time...not a bad price to get rid of tinnitus!
Avatar f tn Is pelvic adhesive disease, endometriosis, IC and fibromyalgia related in anyway?
Avatar f tn Hi ladies, I'm a newbie to this forum, I'm 20 years old living in Queensland Australia, I have a 11 month old Daughter and am currently 5 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child.
Avatar m tn CAN YOU EXPLAIN WHEN I REST THE RIGHT FOOT WHY DOES IT HURT SO MUCH WHEN I STAND ON IT. ALSO LIVING IN QUEENSLAND CAN YOU SUGGEST A SPECIALIST. I NEED HELP.
Avatar f tn I was lucky because I was born in Australia, so 6 years ago we packed up house and moved with husband in tow to Queensland. The best move I have ever made, I have been able to go back to work part-time and the hot weather has helped no end. Winter only lasting 3 months. Like everything about Fibromyalgia managing the pain is the most important part. After a while a drug that has worked for say 4 year suddenly does not work as well.
582777 tn?1298456914 well....Udkas is currently on holidays in Queensland, where it's all floody. I lived up there for 5 years, just returned to the Sane South (as I call it) 12 months ago. Firstly understand that Qld is 666876 square miles, so about 3 times the size of Texas. 75% of Qld is flooded. Most of Qld is underpopulated / rural / outback, and the towns that have been flooded up until now have faired quite well, considering.
