922048 tn?1387946184 Does anyone know of a good neuroendocrinologist in Los Angeles or anywhere in SoCal? (preferably one that takes insurance) I have searched on Google and can't seem to find one. I have been to 6 endocrinologists and am not feeling better. I feel like I'm on a roller coaster with all this (Hashi's, hypo, adrenal insufficiency, fibromyalgia, severe sleep disturbance, memory problems, major hormone imbalance, low endorphins & neurotransmitters, digestive problems, recurrent pregnancy loss, etc.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know a Dr that can prescribe methadone in MN or on Los Angeles? Ihave been forced to go to a treatment center for 2 yes now. I am not an addict, And believe I know addiction very well. I have been forced to do the pee tests and all the other **** the treatment center requires. The reason I have been allowed to stay at true clinic is because I state that I am an addict to pain mess and the side effect of methadone is pain relief.

Avatar f tn My friend suffers from what her doctors say is fibromyalgia. She has been in especially severe pain following a bad car accident over a year ago. So many of her symptoms mimic those we know from hypothyroidism and she has been getting so much worse....accelerating hair loss, swollen, dyslexic, sleeplessness, severe depression, brain fog and pain that is so bad that she is on disability and sometimes simply cannot function at all. She is on a combination of drugs, including some Synthroid.
Avatar f tn I've been all over the midwest from Chicago to Kansas City to Oklahoma City, Houston and points southwest to Los Angeles. My dream is to take a summer in an RV and roam around New England all down the coast to Florida. I also love that North Carolina accent. Very easy on the ears. LOL! As for timing on another rescue, that's a tough one because it's such a very personal decision.
Avatar f tn There're many good doctors in LA (I assume you live in Los Angeles?). If you need to find another doctor, I will message you the listing from Co-Cure.
908504 tn?1269107499 There is a doctor named Sturet (sp) Silverman that is the head of the Fibromyalgia and osteoporpsis at Cedar Sinai (sp) hospital in Los Angeles that I am thinking of trying. Has anyone heard of him? any help will be appreciated as I am sick of laying in bed.
Avatar n tn One of these being at USC medical in Los Angeles. Finally, a culture was grown but came back negative while in Indiana. The pain was getting worse. I went to the emergency room where my old doctor, now head Dr., was working. He did blood work, urine, a cat scan of my bladder, kidneys, pelvic, abdomen nd liver. Other than my liver being a little fatty, everything was normal. He gave me a pill for a yeast infection, though there was no sign of one. It did seem to ease the pain.
1286440 tn?1272884061 I've been sick for 1 year and 5 months now, seen numerous doctors here in Anchorage, Alaska and have exhausted them all with little to no answers to why I'm still sick and no one can even come close to finding an answer, I just got back from Seattle, WA University Medical Center. They went with the easiest diagnosis "Chronic Fatigue Syndrome" That covers some of my symptoms, but not even close. The doctor says..
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with that at the Ear House Clinic in Los Angeles. Though the vertigo episodes were few and far between, my tinnitus has been non-stop for nearly two decades. All tests run back then, i.e. MRI, etc. we're normal, though the vertigo test I failed, the one where they pour water in your ear. Sheer torture.

Avatar n tn I was told it isn't cancer but I think the medical community is not 100% in agreement. I'm 45-year-old female and live in Los Angeles.
Avatar n tn Given the fact that I live in a climate that is always hot HOT H O T in the summer (the San Gabriel valley in eastern Los Angeles County) AND the fact that like many MS patients, I am very heat sensitive, I have been driven to despair with these hot flashes. My gynecologist has put me on a trial of HRT using Esclim (estradiol) patctches, the lowest dosage. After 2 1/2 weeks, I certainly notice improvement, though I am still getting the flashes, but many fewer.
139792 tn?1498589250 Imagine a life in which your favorite comfort foods, such as pasta, bread, cereal and cookies, could cause you to become violently ill. This is reality for an estimated 3 million Americans who have been diagnosed with celiac disease, an autoimmune disorder that involves a severe reaction to foods containing gluten. Growing awareness of the condition, combined with consumer demand, has brought an increasing number of gluten-free products to store shelves in recent years.
Avatar f tn Necon (birth control, taken for suppression continously for 5 years) Morphine Sulfate (taken for endometriosis pain continuously, started early last year) Cymbalta (taken for Fibromyalgia, started in September) Flexeril (taken to aid in sleep for Fibromyalgia, started in September) Please excuse some redundancies, I have a jobbled mind right now, and quite frankly feel very ill. I will start from the beginning and will include labs later.
Avatar n tn By the grace of God and 5 gastroenterologists later, I went to Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. I found my angel, Dr. Simon Lo. He is a specialist in this field, dealing mostly with pancreatic disease. I too had a biliary and pancreatic stents put in to open my pancreatic ducts which were completely closed. I too am a retired RN. I have lived with severe pain for six years. But Dr. Lo has helped me.
Avatar f tn I would love a recommendation for a doctor in the Los Angeles area if anyone has one. My doctor is willing to give whatever meds I want but doesn’t seem that interested in helping me solve it. I feel like I am bugging her.

Avatar n tn You may want to consider seeing a physician who treats fibromyalgia and CFIDS patients'. There is new research in on CFIDS and some treatments available. If you have CFS... the sooner you get treated... the better ! Unfortunately, an estimated 80% of people who have CFS have yet to be diagnosed. Most of the symptoms you listed, and especially the ringing in the ears, can all be due to CFS or fibromyalgia.
Avatar n tn I live in Tucson, Arizona, the SouthWest where it's all desert and cactus and today will be like summer--almost 80 degrees (fahrenheit)......Ben is 24 and just moved to Los Angeles...so it's just the two of us now, and Maggie, our pound-rescue basic brown dog. We recently moved from New York--my husband worked as an editor for the New York Times and I'm a freelance writer. When my ATN was at its worst (in the cold winter and other triggers) I could barely get out of bed.
Avatar f tn I also noticed when I rest more the lump goes down and I feel better. Although it's very hard for me to get enough rest since I commute from Los Angeles, CA to Santa Ana, CA, Monday through Friday for work. It is very draining. I have very long days. I feel nausea all day long. It is horrible. I have good and bad days. I have random symptoms here and there which include fevers of course. I always have fatigue, it feels worse than the fatigue from pregnancy.
163305 tn?1333672171 Unfortunately hes NOT my Dr....but I wish he was! Comes highly recommended if your in the Los Angeles area. Jeffrey A. Kahn, MD Keck Hospital of USC 1500 San Pablo St.
Avatar n tn Questions based off your information: have you had your androgen (estrogen, progesterone and testosterone), aldosterone and serum renin levels tested yet? You sound similar to what I've gone through getting the AI diagnosis. It turns out I was simply more attuned to my adrenal glands turning off than most (I was affected early). My cortisol was flatlined across the bottom and my ACTH was low normal (negative feedback; all this meant was I'm probably not secondary).
544292 tn?1268886268 Hi Everyone and Welcome, Come on in and make yourself cozy. You can do this!
Avatar f tn Hi, I had my JIB in 1974 in Los Angeles am 70 yrs old and just recently started having dumping issues. Seem to have liver issues also, but am very healthy, no meds at all. Avatar f tn I was a surrogate in 2006 thru an agency in Los Angeles, CA. I was pregnant with twins which I unfortunately lost at 19 weeks due to incompetent cervix. I have seen many message boards where women have ads seeking intended parents. Im sure there are plenty of places online you can research everything involved and get advice from other IP's. I know when I was going thru my surrogacy there were endless places and support groups I was able to get information from.
Avatar n tn I was dx'd at the Cleveland Clinic in 1987 - I am now 52 years old and I live in San Clemente, CA (60-miles smack dab in between San Diego and Los Angeles). I was born and raised in Ohio/Michigan and have lived in Houston, TX and Las Vegas, NV also. And I can say beyond a shadow of any doubt that there isn't a state or country out there that's Fibro-Free! There are those of us that simply cannot abide heat and humidity....
