Avatar f tn Now several years later have increased Auto immune deficiencies, B12 and Vit D3 deficiencies, heart issues, Raynauds, Seizures, Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, Hemiplegic Migraines, left side numbeness, concentration and memory issues. Put on Long Term disability last year. Spent a week at John Hopkins where they diagnosed Fibro and confirmed Raynauds, which is now going up my arms and legs. Heart Doctor just found left ventricle problems, have heart murmur.
Avatar n tn My mom started having focal seizures almost a year ago. She has been experiencing headaches almost daily since then. They are not real bad and if she takes Tylenon, it seems to control them so they don't get bad. She said they usually start on the right side of the head and then goes to the left side. We have asked doctors about this but do not get any answers. Could these headaches be from the seizures she is having?
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia when I was 18 and began having symptoms when I was 16. This consisted of some fatigue, pain, and all the symtoms of FMS. I did not have too many problems with it except not being able to run cross country and track anymore. In 2006 I went to the hospital for a week for what the doctor's say was an allergic reaction to a medication. At first they thought it was Menengitis and they attempted 6 spinal taps at the bedside, all were unsuccessfull.
Avatar n tn The doctor said it was either migraine (she has never had these before in her life and her weakness and memory do not improve afterward) or seizures. I have also heard from nurses that it could be autoimmune such as Lupus. Any ideas? I appreciate any feedback from anyone who has dealt with these types of symptoms before. Thanks.
Avatar f tn The doctors are more concerned about giving me seizure meds when i ve been without seizures for long time. The seizures were caused by av malformation now removed.Headaches are now caused by scar tissue on brain. The growth was according to surgeon almost twice the size of golf ball. The couple of pain meds they gave me didnt work or caused side effects almost as bad as headaches. Will the headaches ever go away or do i just live with them.
Avatar n tn s, ASL, Epilepsy (i have never had any seizures before), and Fibromyalgia, is there any truth to that statement? I guess after hearing that, it just kind of has me a little scared, as i know two of those are life-threatening/paralyzing, etc.
7282529 tn?1389814190 I have daily headaches, difficulty swallowing, scoliosis, fibromyalgia (joint pain, fatigue, and trouble sleeping), and my rheumatologist diagnosed me with "hypermobile joints", although he didn't explicitly say Ehlers Danlos. And I've had issues originating from the back of my head for as long as I can remember.
1430406 tn?1283197230 They were able to remove the scar tissue and now, instead of having absence or grand mal seizures, my seizures manifest themselves as headaches. It is still no fun but is easier to deal with than before the surgery. With what you said you have been through, I kind of wonder if there is some scar tissue or something that is causing some or all of your problems. It may be something to check into.
Avatar m tn Hi, I am sure this question comes up alot. I have had muscle aches and tenderness for as long as I can remember mostly in my back and hips but I do get leg aches and pains as well sometimes. Touching certain areas in my back and hips produces pain I can't tolerate. I have frequent headaches/migraines and have been having constant pain in my right side/back since March. My regular doctor's have tested my gallbladder and tests are fine. I have to go in for a scope to check for ulcers.
Avatar f tn My neurologist suggested this was the source of most of problems including headaches, pain, tingling. She sent me to an ortho surgeon who said the bulge was minor and likely causing NONE of my symptoms.
Avatar n tn My daughter had febrile seizures until she was 6 yo. She began falling asleep in odd situations, basically anytime she wasn't up and moving. Husband has family history of sleep apnea, so we went for sleep study where they found she was having seizure activity in her sleep.
Avatar f tn Interestingly enough, my family has a history of seizures, including my son who has them only when he sleeps. While I don't have seizures I do have Fibromyalgia and with that in mind, so many of the symptoms sound like Fibromyalgia (or even Lupus or Lyme disease) and there are women in my support group who also have seizure activity and are having problems with their neurologist in finding the cause.
Avatar f tn my doctor thinks i might be having seizures. does anyone else know. i have no money or insurance. i need help so any answers would be useful. oh and i also have this metal taste in my mouth. and headaches. after the spells is when i have my headaches. and my dreams seem to real. if i am being attacked i fight literally in my sleep. plz help??
Avatar n tn I'll start from the beginning. I've suffered Insomnia for at least 10 years and have been on either Ambien or Ambien CR ever since. Some nights it works...others not so much. I'll also throw in that I've had a moderate bilateral hand tremor as long as I can remember and no doctor has ever given me a reason for it. OK, moving on. I also developed Migraines about 10 years ago and the solution was to try a parade of instant remedies (Imitrex, Relpax, etd.) of which NONE worked.
Avatar f tn BRIGHT LIGHTS WHETHER BLINKING STROBES OR JUST YOUR EVERDAY PLAIN BRIGHT SUNSHINE CAN TRIGGER SEIZURES. THE HEADACHES MAY BE THE BEGINNING OF SEIZURES. SOMETIMES I SUFFER FROM HEADACHES WHICH LEAD TO OTHER THINGS LIKE SEIZURES. I WOULD GET A NEUROLOGIST'S OPINION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND BE SURE TO MENTION THE HEADACHES TO HIM.
Avatar n tn I am a forty year old male, in half decent shape , in my medical history I have had a few bad things happen ( cancer, heart problems and 2 grand maul seizures. Just recently I have been getting very bad thumping headaches during my first reps at the gym, so bad in fact that I almost had to stop, I don't know if this anything to do with my medical history, but I am getting a little paranoid. I don't want to tell my wife because then she will get all concerned. What next.
Avatar f tn Hi there, a few years ago before I found out I had Chiari or even that such a thing existed, I had these horrible headaches and what my family called episodes, we described them to the dr sort of like 'seizures" where I kind of curled up a bit and shook and couldn't talk, had bad headaches and my memory was really bad after words, so I went thru a bunch of seizure test, they are easy and painless and quick, they said I didn't' have seizures but instead had migraines, then th
Avatar f tn Taking pain medication more than two or three days a week, may actually be contributing to the headaches rather than easing them. This is known as rebound headaches. Your body adapts to the medication and the only way to stop rebound headaches is to reduce or stop taking the pain medication that's causing them. Within a week to 10 days, withdrawal symptoms and headaches may become less intense and less frequent.
